I'm using the 442 Deep Sicilian Defence V5 at Sporting Lisbon and i have some feedback to give. Overall i like the tactic but i'm feeling that my strikers do not participate much on the attack. My WM are crossing to the opposite WM and are scoring more goals than the F9's... Which is sad because Slimani have 18 finishing and 19 header and only have 2 goals in the league xD
wow Mr.L your tactic looks great, and I'm gonna try the "4-4-2 (Deep) Sicilian Defense" in a new save on Newcastle
But I got some questions, first is I know Newcastle have more AMR/AML rather than MR/ML, should I still put them in MR/MR even they are not very suitable to the position?
Second is do I need to find a right footed ML and left footed MR?
Last, I have a nice F9 Ayoze Perez, but my another good striker Aleksandar Mitrovic isn't any good F9, how can I place him or should I giveup on him?? Thanks!!!
Right footed MR is better than Left footed MR, and same for ML. But I don't know how big the difference is. It seems to work with almost every type of player also. I know Jesaustralia has successfully retrained strikers to be ML/MR, I prefer winger types with high crossing ability (and i set them to train finishing in addition to wide midfielder schedule). You should probably find a more allround type of player than Mitrovic for the F9 role. I think target men types are the weakest here (in my experience at least). Regarding AML/AMR, yes you would have to use them in ML/MR until they get good in those positions, because the tactic loses a ton of its quality if you change to AMR/AML in the formation.
But like I said, pretty much any type of player works for ML and MR. I've had success with retrained wingbacks, wingers, strikers, central mids, attacking mids. The important thing is that they should be very good players (main focus position for investment).
Also, remember to use version 5 of the tactic (link on the top of the front page).
Anyone tryed it in lower leagues?

yes tactic seems to suit them very well, very similar to how we play in real life.Seems Leicester is a very good fit indeed
