Look, just from a user's experience and common sense, I setup like this;
- Sweeper Keeper (if rushing out needs improvement, otherwise GK is fine) for Goalkeepers.
- Ball playing defenders for CDs (but CD or Limited Defender if my defenders have low potential). This is due to the fear that they will lose some PA points to some extra attributes.
- Complete Wing Backs for both fullbacks (definitely considering this year's over-powered fullbacks)
- Halfback for the DMs (since they don't remain static (get fwd PI), and need to have some playmaking skills (Mr. L set the PI-- More Risky Passes)
- WMs (Wingers with Finishing as extra focus (credit to TFF for this guidance)
- Deep-lying Forward or False 9 for the strikers (only attribute that differs while training these 2 is the Strength, so you can have a look at your Strikers and decide for yourself). I also put extra focus, Stamina since I like setting both my strikers to man-mark opposition's CMs, so they have to do some extra running, in which way I can match opposition midfield overload, and can effectively serve the purpose of PPM "Comes deep to get the ball", since they are already deep.
Hope that helps till experts write their opinion.
