If you don't change the formation after you got a man sent off then for example, when you test a tactic with 4-4-2 formation and you got the right full back sent off then the rest of the match you play with this shape? It looks a nonsense to me...

If you don't use Instant Result then you must play in Commentary Mode but how in this case you can make your assistant manager to do substitution for you?

For your first question, there is nothing to do about that. There is no possible solution for that in our testing system. And your second question is answered in the article.
 
I won't be here to answer more questions until tonight. Going to watch Disney on Ice with my kids in Oslo :)

Here is copy-paste from the article (read the last sentence)

Here is some information about how the software works:

We put the tactic file and a spreadsheet including OI's for that tactic into a google disk folder. The software has auto-search for new files in this folder. If there is a new tactic here, it loads the savegame, loads the chosen tactic from the google disk folder, maximizes the familiarity with the in-game Editor, sets OI's (from the spreadsheet), changes manager, does the same thing for the other test team, starts FM Fitness Coach, loads the list of teams, starts freezing, and then it starts testing. When it is done testing, it saves the game, exports the league table from the game and publishes the results automatically to our site (makes thread, adding test values etc.)
We do not wish to discuss the software in more detail than this, due to it being core to our website's function.

You are saying that you don't use Instant Result then you must play in Commentary Mode because there's no other option exists but the same time you are saying that assistant manager does substitutions for you which isn't possible if you use Commentary Mode... :O

I'm sorry but all that sounds a bit fishy to me...

If you are not interested in following our testing, you don't have to.. And no, we don't test in commentary mode either.. It's like "Simulate match" without the assistant manager interfering. More than this we cannot reveal, sorry.

So you are saying that you play matches in some "secret" mode that is only available to you and isn't available to anyone else who plays the game in regular way and it's different from any playing mode that are represented in the game and you are saying that somehow we(regular players) that play the game in regular way should get the same results as you who plays in some "secret" mode...

Also, you are saying that your testing happens without "the assistant manager interfering" but the same time you are saying that the assistant manager does substitutions for you...

Ok, I think that probably I'll stop asking you questions any longer because all that sounds just ridiculous to me and I really don't know who could possible buy into it... :)

I'm highly sceptical of this testing mode. Either it doesn't exist, or you're accessing parts of the game that you shouldn't be and hiding it behind your website as proprietary information. Which by the way would get you into all sorts of trouble with SI, especially if you are making money off it
 
Fair enough if you don't agree then don't agree but don't ruin it for the people who do find this interesting. I don't take the results as 100% but find it a guide. This thread is being taken by trolls and I'm not sure a mod should be fueling the fire...
 
It's not about fueling the fire, if hes accessing proprietary information then its a major issue. If what he is doing is false or misleading then I don't want it on our forums.

As a moderator it's precisely my place to ask and seek verification.
 
Fair enough and if that is the case that the game is being messed with I agree but surely this investigation is best done privately and the true facts found rather then the hear say of a few who just want to discredit any testing thread that appears. This happens with every testing thread.
