I don't know how Mr Langvatn tests tactics but it looks like his method doesn't work.

I gave a go the best tactic in his testing(3-4-3 Watford) with Southampton and the results were very average.

There are about 10 tactics at this forum that gave me much better results but all these tactics showed much pooper results in his testing.

Mr Langvant Can you please add the section goal from corners in your tests? i will be appriciate it =)
good work though :D

Sadly, our software is unable to retrieve corner goal statistics from the game. It's because the "Export" function only leaves a blank page for these stats (bug in the game, not finished). It works for the league table and some other things.

I for one really like this test. Why because for me many tactics that look great don't work. On other hand I don't have time to test them all myself. So this is great way. Onother thing not only tactics from this forum are relevant so it is great to see other people tactics. Of course it is not 100% maybe not even close but things that don't work for one tactic don't work for other so again + - :) great work thank you again. Would like to advise you to put google ads on your page so at least you get something out of it. Or something more

I'm highly sceptical of this testing mode. Either it doesn't exist, or you're accessing parts of the game that you shouldn't be and hiding it behind your website as proprietary information. Which by the way would get you into all sorts of trouble with SI, especially if you are making money off it

We are not accessing parts of the game we shouldn't, that I can guarantee. Our testing system consists of the game itself, the use of FMRTE, the use of FM Fitness coach, the custom database I've made and the software Luigi (our programmer) has made.

You can be as sceptical as you want, we will not reveal ALL the information, because this would mean that other websites would steal this system from us. And trust me when I say we have worked hard to get everything set up like this. Over a thousand hours. Why would we want to share over a thousand hours of work for free to other websites?

It's not about fueling the fire, if hes accessing proprietary information then its a major issue. If what he is doing is false or misleading then I don't want it on our forums.

As a moderator it's precisely my place to ask and seek verification.

I find it odd and sad that I have gained this little respect over the years I have contributed to this forum. My threads alone have given fm-base over two million pageviews. But of course, I will respect your wish if you want, it's your forum. I will then stop interacting with the members here. But this would be bad for the FM community, as I get a lot of constructive feedback from the users here, and many good tips about tactics to test. I also believe that most users on FM-base highly respect our work, so to be honest I think you'd be shooting yourself in the foot if you kicked me from the forum.

A few people disagreeing with the results or the tehnique of a tactic test is absolutely 100% normal. It's not possible to have such a big service and not get critical comments. However, we are very confident of our test setup as it is. There is of course still room for improvement, but all in all, it's in a very good state at the moment.

We write down ideas from the community to make the testing better for next year, and this way it becomes a little bit better every year.

Fair enough if you don't agree then don't agree but don't ruin it for the people who do find this interesting. I don't take the results as 100% but find it a guide. This thread is being taken by trolls and I'm not sure a mod should be fueling the fire...

Here here. Too many with their own agenda!

Quickzombie is absolutely right in his reading of the test results. They aren't meant to say that only the top tactic is good and the rest is ****... The difference between 250 points and 300 points isn't as big as people may think. For one team, a 250 point tactic can be better than a 300 point tactic.. I would like to suggest to everyone to read the table like quickzombie here. Perhaps look at the top 10-15 tactics, and try to find your favourite :)

I have a feeling Knap 451 Wheel of Fire will come quite high up. Ridiculously good 4-1-2-3 tactic now that I've tried it.

It's already tested, and yes, it did amazingly well :) 304 points! This means a 5th place of 65 tactics!

Edit: Oh wait, that was the 3-4-3 :P Will defo test 4-5-1 as well!

Didn't test the 3-4-3, did well in the test though. The 4-1-2-3 will probably score high in your SubTop, might falter slightly in your Underdog though.

I've never got why if someone doesn't like something they can't see why someone would.
It's like when people complain about TV shows just cause it's not their favorite genre.....
I think I'm using the tactics that are 2ñd and 3rd in the table of results

I think people need to calm down a little. Just agree to disagree...If you see no value in the testing why comment??

Ohhh… come on… stop playing "poor me" here because it's you should be grateful to FM-Base for giving you "a stage" for free so that you could get attention of FM community... Why did you choose FM-Base for sharing your tactics and not any other similar site? I'll tell you why, it's because FM-Base has got a much bigger audience that any other similar site... so it's you who should say "thank you".

Please, no need to produce empty threats that you'll leave this site... you won't go anywhere from FM-Base because you need this site to attract attention to your site and make it popular.

Mate, theres was no need to write that. You've been a member of FM base for less than two years. I've been following Mr Langvatn for way longer than you have been a member. I do feel he's been treated unfairly..

Can we keep this thread clean of trolls and non productive posts, if you don't like his tactics testing then there's no need to put negative posts.

I've been wondering when the TFF fanboys will show up and whine about the testing process since his tactics test average at best.

Average? We only tested one of his tactics so far, because he keeps deleting them. But TFF Vortex v6 got 287 points in our test, which is VERY GOOD! :) Reaver V22 is on the list and should be tested soon!

Trying the WoF 4123 and it's very good but only on my mess about save with PSG. Agree with justified it's a bit seat of your pants at times so underdogs may not be as good
