My results with The Duke AlQaedaSVB
But absolutely not work Watford system v.2. Don't know what I do wrong(((

Mate, I have no idea of what you did wrong, or if it was just bad luck, but using 343 watford V2 you simply have to (at least) clearly over achieve expectations. I'm going to stop with my tottenham test, there's no reason to proceed.
Remenber, no transfers, I quickpicked the team everytime, and made no subs unless forced to do so.
Basicaly the only thing I did was HIT THE SPACE BAR! And the results:

Hello everyone! :)

We have now tested 78 tactics in 17.2.1 (FM17), and amongst them we have found three 5-star tactics and eight tactics worthy of 4,5 stars in our rating system.

More test results will keep coming for a little while longer! :)

Check out the results here

Nice to see my WideTargetKillsIt doing well in your test. Thanx for testing it

I reafirm your testing work is great, and led me to find undoubtedly the best tactic i've tried for FM17. 343 watford v2 is just too good. After many tests I decided to start a proper save with it, my first long term save in this version! I usually like to start in a weak league, with a mid-table predicted team, but in this case I decided to go to the extrem, to get the toughest challenge possible. I choose Swedish premier division, and the team predicted last Falkenbergs. Weak club, weak players, no money. The only "help" i got was from genie scout, to find the two best possible WB, that I could afford, and that wanted to join me in free transfer. Good WBs are halfway to success with this tactic. I know I'm only starting the season, but man what can I say more, there's no way anybody can fail with this tactic! (crushing all mighty Malmo was priceless!).

you should expect this kind of result with spurs with pretty much every tactic tested

I played with your tactic on FM 16 and im waiting for a new one to FM 17, your last tactic just nailed the game eheh, cheers!

Not quite. My point was to prove that with 343watfordv2 is really easy to over achieve.
Hey Mr Langvatn,
I respect you and your hard work but I think that something is very wrong in your testing. :(
I tried Watford 3-4-3 with West Ham, the best tactic according to your test and the result wasn't good at all so I thought maybe West Ham didn't fit the tactic and I decided to try The Duke AlQaedaSVB tweak with Tottenham, this tactic was at the 2nd place in your testing.
I don't consider myself a good tactician but even with my own poor tactic I was able to compete for the title with Tottenham so I thought that with The Duke AlQaedaSVB I would easily win the league and it was a huge disappointment when I finished the 7th place with it and didn't even manager to get into Euro Cups. :(
I really hope that you'll improve your testing in the future, I wish you good luck.

IMO, many people simply take Mr L's test result too serious. The test is far from being able to tell which tactic is absolute best but it gives a pretty good indication and it is the best test currently available. If you ever try to setup a test like this you'll understand how much effort one has to put in to reach this level of test accuracy and you'll be in shocked and start to respect his work. Mr L provide his test service for free way before he has his own website.

Anyway, I think if the top 20-30 tactics in the current test were being further tested with 180 matches of league specific test which consist of the actual teams in a league that will really give a very very high accuracy on which tactic is better.

That's true :) When all tactics are tested, when we run out of tactics to test, I'll defo consider making something like this for the top 20 tactics :)

Yes really, spurs team is rediculous this fm so you should pretty much expect to win with them with any tactic tested.

1 person failing doesn't mean you shouldn't expect to compete easily with spurs. I'm not discrediting what your point is in anyway. More so confirming it. If you want to overachieve don't pick one of the best teams lol

Also remember that our test is very much an underdog/mid-team test in total, and it can be misleading for people who want to find the best all-star team tactic.

+Not all tactics are tested - only selected tactics or people that want their tactics tested - that by itsself makes the test corrupt - then their is the testers - clueless about game mechanics - what you need to be able to succeed with a tactic - high team cohesion level for instance - you can't test a tactic and get a straight answer without this one beeing high - they don't have that - tactics blossom when the team gel is at max - their is a huge difference between blending well together and extremely strong understanding - its like playing with 2 different tactics - I know this from experience...

I played a Wolves save in a world league database - Wolves was in division 5 I got them promoted to 4 and in the ingame cup which has 512 teams in it - they destroyed the likes of Barcelona Man.city etc and went on to win the whole thing - that was with average players like Omar Al-Soma - iorfa - Kortney Hause - etc etc all that was possible becourse my team had a high team gel - right players - high morale - and many more things - so my point saying this out loud is you can't trust a test that doesn't incorporate these mechanisms as the difference is simply to huge - many tactics drown after being tested and that is extremely unfair to the creator/s - ofcourse the effort and time put in to the tests are a job well done, but I gotta tell you - its timewaste=20 as long that these things are not in order.

Cheers
