Mr Langvatn's Tactic Thread (Updated for 13.3.3)

Tried the 2-5-3 Angels V2 for my first game of the season with Monaco (Just got promoted for Ligue 2)

Beat Bordeaux 2-6 away. My SCL Benzia with 4 goals. If this gets better when the tactic is fully gelled then this is going to be one **** of a season. Nice work Mr Langvatn (Stå på kompis!)

I've really fallen in love with this tactic now myself, using it in all my saves as long as I have a decent team (not for underdogs I think). So probably 3-6-1 or the rock until I have a decent team, then the 2-5-3 the rest :) In these league games, no opposition has had any shots against me :)

When your team starts to gel and they know the tactic. Sick results..... 7-0 away against Stuttgart now too.

Balanced/Def.pos or att.mov was what I recommended for the Rock I think. Or you mean Rich Genie's match prep and training? It's still in the OP. Now I am experimenting a bit, and training has nothing to do with the match results, it only increases certain stats. Check this guide:

General Training | Football Manager 2013 Guide

Mr L, am experimenting with this same guide too. and i've one question, in guide they recommend -20% for match preparation. but am not sure bout it, i think that my team playing better with preparation at -30%. what is ur setting?

edit: ok, i see that u using -30% ;).

Default, so ye 30% :)

one more thing. u sure about resting before and after match? because with that setting u losing a lot of training days, especially when u playing in EPL - two cups, league, and CHL or EL.

But when you play in the EPL, two cups and CL, your team needs that rest :P But if you have a big squad and can rotate a lot, of course you can take off resting :)

awww.. it's always my big dilemma, training or resting ;). ok, maybe u're right, i need to try to tick both too ;).

do you bother much with PPM's? in previous FM's it was pretty much standard that a striker needed places shots/rounded keeper but this year i'm not so sure on that

I've never used PPM's. I never do anything really. I'm really going for plug and play.

Look what happens when you have a good team using the 2-5-3 Angels V2 :) I've never seen anything like this before on any FM... 34-0 after 7 matches.....

I tried this tactic in the BSN its worked good, but on this level is hard to find 3 strikers and 3 dmc's

My 3 current dm are gundogan, Sandro and carrick. Expecting this tactic to be my starting tactic, I might purchase 1 more dm before the window closes. Anyway, Will this tactic work if I had players like James Rodriguez or Valencia playing either flank of the AF?
