Should work if they have good AF stats. Heading is important.
 
Having a total nightmare the Rock Classic. Playing as Fiorentina and 1st season in Feb in 10th place and lucky to be there. Get 2 or 3 wins in a row, then as many if not more defeats afterwards and giving away possession in dangerous areas on a regular basis. Current Line Up (Gk) Neto, (DEF) Serge Aurier, Ryan Bennett, Danny Wilson, De Ceglie (DM) Pizarro (Midfield) Wellington Nem, Felipe Anderson, Malouda, Yttergard Jensen (Striker ) Jovetic or Macheda...I am doing Teamtalks but trying to encourage each game. any ideas why this is not working as well as other posts would suggest ??

Half your team are new players.... Your team blend is at a minimum level.

And it's just like real life too :) Remember when Man City first bought their team? It took 3 years before they "blended". And they only bought world class players. You bought mediocre players :)

so do you suggest not playing so much with the team. I tend to make lots of signings and normally the same kind of players. is it likely that in the following season the players will gel better and the tactic be more effective. Or maybe I should start a new save and not tamper so much with the line up. do you recommend a maximum number of changes. ?

Next season, if you don't change too much again, they will perform much better. I never change more than 1-2 players in the starting 11 per season. And always focus team cohesion in pre-season training!
 
OK, thanks Mr L, appreciate your comments, I'll read through the team blend you sent and maybe start another save and see what happens.....by the way, had much better success with other teams and in general your tactics are absolute quality sir !!!. thanks.

If you haven't tried yet, you MUST try the 2-5-3 angels v2 :) It's an absolute killer!
Btw, if you like cheap norwegian players like yttergård jenssen, you have to try Strandberg. It says he only has 2 stars on my Bayern team, but he is a first team regular, and averaging over 8.0. He is a beast on corners too. Very stable defender. Costs 500k pounds or so.

Cavani took a while to adapt to the premier league and wont be firing on all cylinders until next season, but he's at 21 goals and 16 assists after 28 games. didn't score for his first 5 games so he's definately getting on form now
 
Mr Langvatn what's the diference between the first rock classic and the final version?
 
Mr L, I can see that the 2-5-3 V2 is working really well for you. Some of the results are really shocking! Omg, I can't wait to try this!

You won't get these kind of results without having a strong team though :) I'm still on a similar run with much more big wins :)
 
So why the Forward have the FWR set to mixed?

I used to play with the rock classic tactic, but today I downloaded the rock classic final version and the striker have the Forward Runs set to mixed. The other tactic was set to rarely

The Rock Classic has never had the striker on "rarely", the original rock did (the very first). And that's a very long time ago :) And it's not set to "mixed" now, there is no such setting, I take it you mean "sometimes", but that's wrong too. In both the TC and the Classic version of the rock, the striker has "often" on forward runs.
