Mr Langvatn's Tactic Thread (Updated for 13.3.3)

Hey Mr Langvatn!

Can you please test my tactic, finnished it today. I think it got lots of potential... got inspired by your successful tactic as well as W4NK3R´s (hope you guys don't mind)..i also have implemented a few things..such as increased time wasting..this seems to do the trick for silly goals..and late goals... scores a decent number of goals via corners too... im really happy with it so far..

here is some screenies... with my beloved Spurs...

Best regards, Malte722.

Looks good! But could you test it with a lesser club in the EPL for a whole season? Tottenham is really strong apparently. With the 4-1-3-1-1 Degeneration X, my friend got 100 points first season Tottenham. Goal diff is amazing too.

And may I ask what changes you have done? I see the defense is from the rock, and the attack is from W4NKER's tactic. But what is the difference between this one and W4NKER's Modern Warfare/Rock hybrid?

Sure :) Ill get back to you.

Sure :) Ill get back to you.

And please no save/load :) I'm sure you don't do that, just saying :P It just wastes my time :) Some of the other tactics I've tested must have been save/loaded a lot to get the results on their respective threads..

Hi there (again...) i am thinking about starting in the BSN/S instead of Leeds.. You still think the Rock Classic is the best for that type of league ? and wich one? the 1 striker or 2 striker ? Thanks in advance ;)

Wow, the rock never fails to create great story lines. Here my second story with the rock classic.

I got offered the real madrid job in late december with 24 games to go in the league and about 12 points behind barcalona, much like the recent real life season it looked all over. In 2020 its an aging squad but still pretty good. To claw back barca i had to win almost every game and hope they slipped up.

Of the 24 games i won 21 of them and drew the other 3, coming down to the second to last game of the season at home to barca where winning it pretty much won me the league. This was one of the craziest games i've played though. 34 minutes in casillas got injured and I didnt have a spare keeper so had to put badstuber (the german defender) in goal! The rock was so solid that we restricted them to only two shots and actually kept a clean sheet, with no keeper! winning 2-0.

Also scrapped through to the champions league final and won that too.

Oh and no save/reload, that would be cheating

There is no two striker rock. there is one 4-1-4-1 Rock, and one 4-1-4-1 Rock Classic. And yes, the rock classic would be the best for smaller leagues too.

ah ok thanks! dont know why i was thinking about that :)

YES!!!!!!!! Mr. L I've done it. I've won all the trophies for this season. You are such an amazing tactician!
Falcao and Gotze both being injured, then had to take Sahin off the field because of injury and then BOOM! 3 goals out of nowhere!

Hello Mr Langvatn,

Keen to try out your tactics here after reading through some of the brilliant feedback. I'm in my second season with Wolfsburg and I've just built a good squad based on a 442 formation. What would you suggest?

Many thanks for reading.

Great tactic.
I've been managing Chesterfield since the start of my save, just won promotion to the Championship and I decided to give this tactic a try to see if it could help me stay up during my first season up.

Ended up winning promotion to the Premier League via the playoffs, smashing teams 6-0 / 6-1 here and there during the season, got to the FA Cup semi final too.

My team is very.. very average in terms of ability for this level, we have one of the smallest squads in the League.. with a few aging average players such as Andy Graham/Nick Montgomery/Stevie Hammel.. most of my player reports are 2 stars and 'would be good players for most League One sides' our media prediction was '24th' and our squad reputation is 'regional'

Even towards the end of the season when we were near the top, or during long unbeaten runs, we were still always the 'underdogs' and not the bookies favourites for nearly every game. I think there was only a small amount of games where we actually went into them as favourites.

We have had the 4th lowest attendance during the season (due to our tiny stadium) we have very average training/youth facilities, we never spent a penny on transfers (only made 3 signings and all were free transfers) and we have the lowest wage budget in the League too.. currently paying £55,798 per week on wages.

(Sorry about all the images, I wanted to posted screenshots of all the stuff I posted.. wage budget/transfers etc)

As you can see, I beat Liverpool away 5-3 in the FA Cup quarter final.. with 10 men! :D
Smashed Cardiff 6-1 in the Playoff semi final 2nd leg (8-1 over the 2 legs) and Cardiff had spent over £10 million on transfers this season.. where as we hadn't spent a penny.
Reading, who finished 3rd in the League, we beat them 6-0 away in our League game against them, 1-0 at home in our League game against them.. and then we beat them 3-1 in the Playoff final, I bet they are glad to see the back of Chesterfield.

Really amazing tactic, a modern day Diablo.
Thanks alot! :)

wich tactic do you use ?

I'm going to test the rock classic with sampdoria. First game against lazio was fantastic! Won 3-1! Will post screenshots when season is over. Can you tell me more about the ppm the players need?

I gave my striker "Likes to beat offside traps" because, at one point, he had the second highest number of offsides in the league. I don't know if that's due to the tactic or his own exuberance. My wingers have "attempts dribbles often" and "places shots" too.

I am using Rock Classic in my save and is working really good so far. One thing that called my attention is that I am awarded with lots of penalties, It has something to do with the tactic or is it just a lucky coincidence?

No PPM's :)

In Rock Classic CM must have high finishing ?

I have uploaded player filters for Rock Classic

Yes, 4-1-4-1 Classic Rock works with all teams.

Great tactic.

That is amazing :) I'm having a blast myself now, started with Eastleigh, two consecutive promotions, both 1st places with no problems at all, even though I was predicted last. Hopefully I can stay in nPower League two with this **** team :P 0% of transfer revenue is made available, I get zero transfer budget every year, and I cannot buy free players even, cause my wage budget is too high, even with default squad almost :P

If you really want a 4-4-2 I would suggest W4NKER's Kiss corners tactic (not my tactic), but if you can manage to buy a DMC, the Rock Classic is a tad better.
