Mr Langvatn's Tactic Thread (Updated for 13.3.3)

Anyone ever managed to win the Champions League with TNS (The New Saints, Wales) ?

I started a game with them now. God, this will be an uber-long save if I'm gonna win CL with them... Someone join me in this unbelievably hard assignment :P

I started using this tactic near the end of my season and it worked amazingly won all my games so i thought for the new season it would also work and provide successful unfortunately it hasn't provided so i just cant score with it and where as i had less possession and won 4-0 i now lose 1-0. any advice guys?

It's probably not the tactic that's the problem then. Have you bought many new players for the new season? Squad harmony etc good? Morale? etc etc.

Only youth players who have gone on loan, Morale is Very Good and above
 
I´m getting troubled to make Rock classic working with a portuguese team: When i thick the player roles/profiles in tactics screen i see that this player roles are all wrong. So i use the Rock to see what kind of player fits in the righ position.

My question is: does this mean that i must use de Rock tactic instead of Rock Classic? The wrong player roles means that the Rock Classic doesn't work ( so it explain my not very best results?)

I am currently managing Norwich and using the 4-1-4-1 Rock classic tactic. after 14 games, the stats are:

12 win, 1 draw, 1 lose

defeated Man utd, Chelsea, Man city, Arsenal, Liverpool along the way.

what I did was to keep the training for "Team Cohesion" very high, and "Tactics only" till everything becomes FLUID, all the way till the 12th game in EPL.

Will upload screenshots when my season is over.

This tactic is serious amazing. Thank you!

Made the Quarter Finals in 2035 in FM 2012 (I havent gone back since then - FM13 came out)! Got to the stage where I was holidaying every single game that wasnt champions league, and hadnt lost in a few seasons. The bad thing is - the moment you get good players in, you either get offers accepted by the board, or they refuse to sign a new contract :/

I might join you in this challenge. Should be a good test of Rock Classic especially in Champions League though I might use an Instant Result skin for the league games until I get good players coming through.

I have no idea what you're talking about, since rock classic is a classic tactic without any roles :P
 
Ok the player attributes. In the tactic main screen when you click the player and see shooting, marking etc...in mine the especifications in rock classic are all wrong, only in rock are correct. In the Rock classic the striker, for example says, pass, creativity instead of the finishing said in the Rock.

So this means taht Rock Classic doesn't work and the Rock does?

The game doesn't read classic tactics too well, so it will tell you the wrong attributes.

I have tried it on a couple of saves and I don't think the final result differs too much. Only problem is subs or when a player gets sent off but with Rock Classic I usually seem to play just as well with 10 players anyway
