My best tactic for FM14

Those settings had me 9 goals in 15 games. Usually gets the CB about 3-7 shots on goal so the better the corner taker and the better the CB the more goals in theory.

Try switching the CB settings to a big striker if you have one (not tried that yet myself)

I tried these and they work a treat man, still sitting with cisse, remy and gouffran trying things on new patch so no big strikers, though coloccinni has knocked in a decent 5 in 9 games
 
My corners are going to one of my cm's for the header on the back post. Is this correct?

It'll all depend on your corner taker, there is one player stand on far post, one attack far post and one attack from deep, the cross to far can be met by any 3 of these players. With the most success coming from the attack far post player.
 
All i can think is a backfiring teamtalk wich made your team complacent

I think this tactic works just as well if not better with the latest patch. I'm speaking of the latest tactic update as well. I have trialled this with my Blades team, which as you can see isn't a world beater but we are 2nd in the Premiership 30 games played, only 1 defeat all season, got to the quarter finals of the League Cup, still in the Europa and still going well in the FA Cup.

I would recommend Sergi Samper, Jon Williams, Harry Kane and Michael Bostwick for this tactic. Samper is fantastic in the right CM position.

Is the tactic in the first page the updated tactic for the updated 14.1.4 patch or is that still waiting to be uploaded.

It looks to be a good tactic for the game and I am eager to try this

have you downloaded the current version in the OP with "corners" on the end?
if so, and you have players to suit the tactic and are doing everything else right then there is no reason not to be scoring goals.

Yeah I got it mate, well... I'm not doing too badly really as I'm 3rd but just seems to struggle to score after the patch. Maybe my striker isn't suited for the role I will have to look into it.

keep in mind the false9 is going to drop deeper. creating spaces for other players to come into. in my test the cm with attacking duty scored the most averaging 1.6 goals per game. this was newcastles default squad
