I had the same problem.
You have 2 options here.

Sell Pirlo (i know it sounds crazy), he is 30, still a quality player, but i hardly found him making any impact for me at all.
If you manage to sell him, you could buy either Marcelo or Vargas.
I'd go for Vargas first, and they both can play left-back, left midfield and left winger, so they are both good.

I used Gattuso until the january transferwindow.
I suggest you ask the board for more transfer money, and hope that they deny it, because if you get good results before january, they suddenly give you 30£ million.
 
Lol that's a crazy amount of goals Hancuryahudi!

One of the problems I find with Rooney is he shoots from range all the ime (even if i set it to low he ignores me. Also if I use player interaction he tells me to shut up lol). When Rooney is close to the goal, he just blasts it at the keeper, or over the goal :(

Tevez plays better than rooney, but he seems to be great for 1-2 games, then does nothing for the next few games :(

I have used AliBabah's formation to play against chelsea about 6 times now (keep loading back up and playing them). I managed to hold them to a 2-2 draw, but I want to find a formation i can beat them with.

I am going to try your V7 formation and see how I do.

Still no joy. Played them 5 more times andI either draw or lose. It's so frustrating because I dont want to have to rely on beating more teams than chelsea because i cant beat them :(

Similar to me when play against Chelsea in the 1st season. It's hard to win against them. Their tactic is killer. But now I can win against them because of Ronaldo as a striker. Ronaldo is best player in man utd squad. Try to train him as a striker. ;)

Can you post your training schedule for Ronaldo? So i can use it for Aguero aswell?

Anyway, a little update on my AC Milan game now.

I have won all 15 games from start in a row in Serie A, and still going.
Now im going to play World Cup because i won Champions League.

See the picture below, and also look at Aguero's goal + assists.
 
hey where would you guys advise i play aguero striker or amc cause i already have benzema and bojan that i have to accomadate

Well, if you play with 2 strikers already, you could just place Aguero in the AMC.
He is actually an AMC, but equally as good striker.

Like AliBabah said earlier, Aguero is striker and AMC. If you want to play him as a striker, you can train Bojan to new postion, AMR. In my games, Barcelona trained Bojan in AMR postion. So, you can make these three guys play together. If Aguero play as AMC, make sure you put him in playmaker box. :)

See the preferred moves for Rooney. That's why he always shot from distance. To avoid it, you train him as a AMR. Now he run with ball to the right flank and supply the ball to Ronaldo when I play him as AMR.

Ok. Who is your target man? Playmaker?

I also have Mr Messi aswell and yuri zhirkov who i forgot to mention
 
This is the formation I was using this season. My friend plays as Arsenal and I win all my home games. If I am away, and the opponents use the Chelsea formation I really struggle :(

If you've saved the formation you will need to click on Post Reply, then look for the paperclick icon. You should then be able to upload the formation.
 
Cheers dude. Struggling with Leeds in championship, believe it or not first game of season we put 7 past Sheff Wed. But now just sat in 12th.

No.
the file you have downloaded, must go into this folder:

Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2009\tactics

Then when you are in game, you can load it from "archived tactics"
 
Thanks matey, hopefully this will help my push for playoff places!! Got great players just don't seem to be doing it. Watch this space.

just used the tactics and was 3 nil up in 25 mins. Get in, absolutely chuffed with the tactic. Job well done.
