New American League - Chairman + Auction Game (Spaces Available)

Haha uhoh... People watching but not getting involved or people voting more than once?
 
When will this start, mate? It's getting closer to midnight in my country and I don't want to miss out on the auction :P
 
Auction Rules

1. There will be 30 rounds in the auction, but will be done 2 at a time to speed the process up.


2. The minimum time between rounds will be 36 hours – but will end if I get everyone’s bids before the 36 hours.


3. Each team will start with a transfer budget of 150 Million. This averages out to 5 Million for each round (This will not come out of your clubs finances and is fictional money to assemble your squad, so spend it all across the 30 rounds!!!!)


4. The Wage budget will be 350k/pw for the Premiership teams and 300k p/w for the Championship teams. This is not a set budget and is ultimately down to you! (This is based on the transfer budgets the game was saying when I loaded the game so should be about right). Calculating the player wages will be attached below.


5. In each round you MUST bid for every person!!! Obviously bid the most for the player you want and the least for the player you don’t really want! You can only win one person per round, so whoever bids most for a player will get them and all the other bids would then be ignored! (Hopefully this makes sense, if not I will try to clarify it better!)


6. The minimum bid for a player will be 0.5 Million. The smallest integer of bidding will be 0.05 million. E.g. 5.05, 5.1, 5.15, 5.2 etc.


7. If you don’t manage to get a bid in before the round ends, you will be left a choice of what is left but will have to pay a minimum set fee of 1.5 million for whoever you choose. Once all the users have bought a player from each round the remaining 4 will be randomly allocated to the 4 currently unassigned teams (currently winning the poll).


8. There will be 1 Manager round, 14 USA Player rounds, 14 Foreign Player rounds and a youth team round. Each player round will be done based on position and will be mixture of potential and current ability!


9. Wages

All players will have a current wage next to them on the list which will be the same as there in game wage (although may reduce some of the highest paid USA players as I want the best of these in the league where possible).

They will automatically be given a 2 year contract on this set salary (can be cut to 1 year if requested.) If you would like to offer a longer contract it will work as follows;

3 year contract = 1.2 X current contract
4 year contract = 1.4 X current contract
5 year contact = 1.6 X current contract

Transfer budget - 150M, which is AVG 5M million per round

You must bid for all players in a round but will only get 1, so obviously prioritize the bidding!

If i do not receive a bid from you for a round then it will cost you 1.5M with a choice of what is left!

* There is a league rule requiring at least 8 USA players in your squad!

Will start in a few hours but you will have at least 36 hours to get your bids in so dont worry!

There is no advantage of getting your bids in early, just as long as you do get them in before the next round!

Need to look into that one a little more tbh and will be the very last round. ATM i was thinking you will just get all the players from that clubs U18s, as i imagine the youth team of our new franchises will be useless first season but i may be mistaken and will check this!

If this doesnt work will just auction off 29th player or something :)
 
What happens if 2 users bid the same for a player and it ends up as the highest bid?

I think that will be unlikely but if so, i guess the fairest way would be to give him to the user who submitted their bid first.

I have a question.

So if I bid £5m on a player in a round, then someone bids like £5.05m for that player, could it then raise my bid to £5.1m for that player?

But how would we know the bid value? Don't we only get one bid per player, and that too it's private?

It is a closed auction, so you don't get to know the other bids.
 
Although i will be sending my bid to Znik as soon as i post the round, so that i cant base my bids on other peoples.

So i will be trusting him not to keep out bidding me by 0.05 haha
