New American League - Chairman + Auction Game (Spaces Available)

Hey guys,

It doesn't look like we are going to fill the remaining 4 places unfortunately, so there are a few options;

1) Create 4 extra teams that wont have a chairman, but someone may want to join later and can take them over. They would be assigned a random player from those not selected by you in the auctions.

2) Remove the teams all together and restructure the leagues, which may potentially mean just the Premiership with 18 teams in it. or just keep the championship with only 6 teams (might be a bit to small though).

Any preferences or suggestions will be good to hear!! Hopefully get the first round of the auction going tomorrow aswell :)
 
I'd say either restructure the Premiership, but it'd be a bit unfair, or just do Step 1. :)

Can do a league of 10 and league of 8, just play 3 fixtures against each team, and have a playoff structure for promotion/relegation

I was about to suggest the same. Or 2 (strange) leagues of 9 teams with 4 games. Would make it 36 games in total, which is pretty normal.
 
I kinda prefer the 4 non player controlled teams to be honest

Might even be able to do a Western and Eastern Conference / Split like the MLS
 
I don't mind either way (4 AI-controlled teams or a restructuring)

But would a change in league structure mean the last 2 teams start out in the Championship? Seeing as I'm the last one on that list (Jacksonville Sharks), I don't mind starting in the lower league :D
 
I think having the spare teams is alright, sometimes people prefer to wait until the game starts before they join. (That and I'd be relegated in the new structure :P )
 
Interestingly there are now more votes than there are players signed up for the game :P
