Here it is

By the looks of this we are spending NO money for players during the summer. Who knows how this will affect us?
 
The quality is there to remain alive... and if it all goes pear shaped there's always the joys of January.
 
Yeah the squad is good enough although a few more players would definately strengthen the case.
 
Well, i think that this will gel together your current squad better. In the past you have spent big money on players who turn into flops, Luque, Owen Etc. Though, some players like Best & Routledge aren't PL quality players. I think you'll stay up as long as you stick with your manager, and avoid a few injuries.
 
you should stay up and if the 5 year plan works you will start bringing the big names again
just shows what relegation does to teams
 
At least the board have a plan for the long term, rather than doing things spur of the moment. It says there will be no financial outlay for signings, but it also says that there will be no talk about transfers until they are finalised. Still, there are a **** of a lot of good players out of contract this summer. Beckford is certainly looking a likely signing after reading the statement.
 
A few loans a few bosmans, the toon will be fine.

the togetherness of the team is there, the passion is there, the support is there, the manager is there!

we have showed you dont need to break the bank to do well, im sure you can follow ;)

Would love him at Newcastle, although Wolfsburg look favourites.
 
Kris Boyd is basically a done deal to us iv heard.

but really good list of players, im sure many of them will tie up deals once the season is done though

we still have, Kevin Phillips, Stuart Parnaby, Garry O'Connor, Maik Taylor, Frank Queudrue

all out of contract. im sure all of those wont be let go at the end of the season. managers like to weigh up their options and league finish before finalising deals IRL it seems. Well McLeish seems to

We ain't got much choice TBH, Lucarelli is a proven scorer.

Also, seen rumours that Vela may join on loan aswell, to get him Prem experience.
 
Your lucky that there will be at least 3 teams that are probably worse than you in the EPL next season. WBA will go down, whoever goes up via playoffs will go down then you have the likes of Wigan/Brum (Reading#2?)/Bolton etc..

Danny Wilson isn't out of contract mate he still has a year left it's Kirk Broadfoot that is out of contract

Wigan should be renamed to Inconsistent Athletic, but I think on their day, they can play well enough to avoid relegation again.

As for Birmingham, I believe they have the financial backing to sustain a run in the Premier League. I can't see them going yet.

As for Bolton, I hope they get relegated along with Blackburn. Really hate the way those teams play their football.
 
Yeah, well lets hope you are right. It takes one bad game to turn the season. We have to beat all of the bottom half sides at home, try and get draws with the 5-10 placed teams, and hope for the best vs top 4.
 
I think you'll get 4 points against us next season, or at least 3.

We don't have a very good record against the Toon.
 
I wouldnt mind a few of them bosmans, id take aurelio, gallas, cole, kallstrom, govou

Birmingham have the financial backing, but its about who they can attract to the club and whether those players play. They have had a good season, a brilliant season for them but there's always the second season syndrome. We shall see.

Wigan can play well enough, but its whether they do or not. Today (regardless of ten men) they were truly horrific.

Agree on Bolton/Blackburn. Plus I hate Allardyce.
