Nezza's Legendary 4-4-2 is back!

once the final update comes out mate I will probably update this but only if the new update messes up the tactic
 
I did a save with my beloved Newcastle United: I sold the likes of cabaye, cisse, Williamson, Gosling , Ameobi, Marveaux and Obertan
and bought: Luciano Vietto 4million, Angel correa 2.3million, Tom Ince 3.4million, Jamaal Lascelles 6million, Leandro Damiao 4million and Eduardo Salvio on loan, some great bargains made a profit of 15mil.
Using this tactic, and what can I say....BEST TACTIC IVE EVER USED! Currently 1st in the prem still in both domestic cups coming up to January. And here are some great results: beat Sunderland at home 7-1!!!! Damiao got 6! Beat Man city 1-0 at home, beat Liverpool 2-1 at home, and...I told the players to enjoy the game away to Chelsea after the derby win and they only went and smashed them 3-1 and hitting the post twice! I was a bit worried coz in my first 6 games I got 4 red cards! But it's not as bad now , but still top of the table in terms of fouls and bookings. But anyway fantastic tactic 22 goals scored in 10 games 8 conceded I think. I've always been looking for a 4-4-2 tactic that brings goals and attractive football and this is perfect! Thank you for creating this tactic!

your welcome mate and keep up the good work, sometimes I wish Pardew would use this system ;).

also with the red cards by any chance does your RB - Debuchy get many of these? I ask because on my old save Debuchy seems to get sent off or gets most yellow cards than any other player.

Do you have your CF on Support like the screendump in OP or do you have it on Attack like when its downloaded?
 
i think debuchy got one, but it was mainly three of my centre backs, coloccini, m'biwa and lascelles. I know that debuchy has a poor discipline in real life as proven this season and last season, so FM may have replicated that
 
Hi Nezza - congrats on what appears to be a very good tactic. I just wanted to pick your brains on something. I started using this for my Pompey save in my third season in which i was playing in championship. Results started off pretty amazing but took a nose dive very quickly. I had this largely as a plug and play but wanted to know if you could recommend any tweaks which might work for an underdog team? For me this looks like the closest tactic i've seen to FM13 modern warfare which i loved and brought me numerous titles and cups for my then NUFC save.

Personally, i think the reason it hasn't worked so well is i largely have a **** squad so i'm rehalling this summer but any hints will be hugely appreciated.

i'll probably update this tactic when the new update comes out, and also what people say on here is that modern warfare was replicated from my 4-4-2 in FM 13, but I think someone has a tweaked MW tactic on this site for FM14

No not really, everbody has the same problems now(dutch forum) maybe some tips to tweak

EDIT:
no more wins, al lot of losses and draws, crazy scenarios for the goal, lots of injuries.. i don't understand it, just start a new game on patch 14.3.0 with Arsenal, keep you posted.

Hi Nezza, I used this tactic for the base of a 4-2-3-1 tactic for Madrid on the weekend getting some great results after a bunch of changes. Highlight being a 9-3 league win over Atletico!

I might once I've finished the season mate. A lot of credit will go to Nezza for a really good base if I do release it!

The tactic rarely scores less than two. I've lost twice, once vs Barca 1-0 ( Di Maria, Benzema, Alsonso and Ronaldo all out due to injury. and Bale hit the bar :( ) and against Osasuna who fluked it.

In the league so far I have played 19 won 17 drawn 0 and lost 2 scoring 67 in the process.

Also, It's pretty much always my front 4 who get the goals so none of that corner exploit

I don't want to take over this thread but I'm happy with it so far!

I'll finish the season and if I'm still winning I'll make another thread (with Nezzas approval)

It concedes a bit more in europe but still scores loads. My group was Shakhtar, Juventus and Leverkusen so not easy at all

I'm currently going to do a few tweaks with my 4-4-2 with help from my mate Chanty, hopefully this tactic can keep it's reputation up and become successful once again
