Lineup - Donnarumma, Passlackm Jedvaj, Lascelles (Chilwell), Tierney, Tielemans, Merino*, D'Amico, Lanzini, Murphy (Orsolini), Dembele (Soumare)

Another fantastic convincing victory. I don't know what Merino is on as in 4 seasons he has 14 goals for me but already this season he is on 6 goals!

MIKEL MERINO!!!! He struck from 35 yards, in off the bar, to give us the 3pts after a fairly average performance.

Any win away at Liverpool is a good win but to score 4 times makes everyone sit up and take notice of just how well we are playing.

This hard fought win secures qualification and leaves Feyenoord pointless.

This makes it 5 times already in the league that we have scored 4 and that's not including the 2 times we have scored 5. As for the cups........

--

SUMMARY

The way things are going it makes me think that this might be a very special season. We are still unbeaten in all competitions, scoring tons of goals and really looking strong. In the league we have already opened up a decent gap over 2nd place Man Utd of 5pts.

Individually D'Amico has been tipped for the World Player of the Year as his performances and stats is just mind boggling. Soumare and Dembele are scoring when picked while Mikel Merino has decided that he wants to step up several levels as he is scoring regularly and has been rewarded with his first caps for Spain.

As an aside - Jose Henry is developing so well that he might be close to edging out Tielemans!!!!

SUMMARY

We end the year 11pts clear (Man Utd have 2 games in hand) and unbeaten in the league and on a run of a 36 game unbeaten run - this season just keeps getting better.

There isn't any negatives from this month. From the return from injury to Pellegri to Jose Henry taking his chance in the 1st team but mainly the results as we defeated Man City and Chelsea and drew with Spurs and Man Utd.

In the cups we will play Napoli in the Champions League, Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup, Leicester in the Carabao Cup and in the World Cup my French side will face Italy, South Korea and Mali.

That's 2 hat-tricks in 2 games for Pellegri. His 5 month lay off hasn't halted him at all. Oh and beating Liverpool 4-0 isn't bad either lol.

--

SUMMARY

This season keeps on getting crazier and crazier. We are still unbeaten in all comps and we are putting in some amazing performances from beating Liverpool 4-0 in the cup and best of all winning 4-1 away in the league against Arsenal.

Pietro Pellegri has come back and he is on fire! In 5 games this month, including sub appearances, he scored 9 goals and he is looking like the injury didn't effect him.

In the cups we reached the Carabao Cup final and will play Chelsea while in the FA Cup we will play Ipswich or Peterborough.

Finally in the transfer window I had one pre-arranged transfer to bring in Thami Mthembu from Sundowns for £250,000 and because he hasn't got a work permit he is off to Nimes.

--

SUMMARY

Another month and another month unbeaten amazingly as our streak goes on and goes on. In the league it is still just us and Man Utd at the top with 3pts separating us. You would think that with us being unbeaten we would have a far more healthy lead but it isn't so.

In the cups we just avoided defeat away to Napoli to set us up for a decent chance of going through in the Champions League and in the FA Cup we just squeaked past Ipswich to face Southampton in the quarters.

We won the Carabao Cup for the 3rd time by coming out on top in a seven goal thriller against Chelsea. We took the lead but then went 2 behind before clawing ourselves back and getting the winner.

On to March!

SUMMARY

This was a fairly quiet month I suppose with only 4 games but they were key. We got a win and a draw in the league to end the month 4pts clear with 8 games to go so its all looking good.

In the FA Cup we just beat Southampton and will face Leicester in the semis for the 2nd time this season. We defeated Napoli in the Champions League and have a nightmare tie against Real Madrid in the quarter final.

In our youth intake we got a couple of decent players with the best one coming from my feeder side GNK Dinamo of Croatia.

OUR FIRST DEFEAT OF THE SEASON!!!!!

This defeat is so hard to take but at the same time I am not too disappointed. The bad side was the fact we threw away a 2 goal lead twice but on the good side we got 4 away goals and considering Real had 30 shots to our 6 I am just glad to still be in with a great chance of qualifying.

WHAT A COMEBACK!!!!

We were 2 down and completely out of it but in the final 10min we just blew Chelsea away and scored 3 goals and also had one disallowed! This result gives us a huge boost for the league title.

--

SUMMARY

The penultimate month of the season saw us suffer defeat for the 1st time as we lost 5-4 to Real Madrid in the Champions League but it was ok in the end as we knocked them out on away goals to reach the semis where we are 4-2 up after the first leg over Monaco.

Domestically we reached the FA Cup final for the 1st time after defeating Leicester on penalties and we will face Man Utd in the final. In the league we had a few dodgy performances and just scraped the results in truth but we are still unbeaten and we ended the month with a fantastic comeback victory over Chelsea.

Next month we may have a Champions League final, we have an FA Cup final, a league decider against Man Utd and I have to pick my World Cup squad for France!!!

Lineup - Donnarumma, Passlack (Farrell), Jedvaj, Lascelles, Tierney, Tielemans, Henry, D'Amico*, Lanzini (Zuparic), Sane, Dembele

I forgot to say in the 1st leg that we broke the Champions League record for goals scored and here we are adding another 4 onto that total as we reach the Champions League final. Oh and D'Amico scored 4 goals lol.

I took a huge gamble here in playing my backups here but it paid dividends twice over as we got a convincing win thanks to Dembele's hat-trick.

Even better news - Man Utd drew so we have a 4pt lead again and move +3 ahead on goal difference.

CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!

We knew if we won we had the title and we did it here. We took the lead through Dembele and then they had Pogba sent-off and after that it was a case of seeing things out. I made a triple substitution and all of a sudden we kicked into another gear with Jose Henry scoring twice to show me yet again why he maybe should be starting.

Now for the hard decision - do I risk our unbeaten league season by giving the youngsters some game time and resting them for the 2 upcoming finals?

EUROPEAN CHAMPIONS!!!!!!

What a final this was. We had bad news beforehand as Donnarumma got injured so Arensoe had to start in goal but it didn't affect us as we stormed into a 2nd minute lead. They levelled within a minute and went ahead shortly after but Pellegri levelled for us.

Not for long though as Mbappe completed his hat-trick but then he went off injured and that was a huge boost. In the 2nd half we battered them and finally levelled when Merino struck late on. We piled on the pressure but to no avail and we went to extra-time which was a non event.

So to penalties and my former keeper Timo Horn was in goal for them but he didn't save any of our penalties and Arensoe saved Bernardeschi's pen and we were champions!

SUMMARY

What an end to the season! We had some huge games and it all went our way. We kicked off the month by thumping Monaco to reach the Champions League final with D'Amico scoring 4 goals to inspire us. That was followed up by an easy win over Reading where Dembele notched a hat-trick.

Next up we won the title by beating our nearest rivals Man Utd and closed the season out with a victory over Liverpool and a draw against WBA to ensure that we finished the league campaign unbeaten.

We then won the FA Cup final by beating Man Utd and then claimed the Champions League with a penalty shoot-out victory over PSG after a thrilling 3-3 draw.

END OF SEASON POST

What a season. We played 64 games all season and only lost 1 - 5-4 away to Real Madrid - which is just amazing. We were maybe somewhat surprisingly pushed all the way by Man Utd considering we were invincible and only secured the title by beating them with 3 games to go.

The Community Shield was collected and in the Carabao Cup we had the benefit of easy draws before facing Chelsea in the final and we came out on top in a 7 goal thriller. We won the FA Cup for the 1st time too under me by beating Man Utd in the final after beating Liverpool along the way.

In the Champions League we were on fire. We broke the record for goals scored and scored 5 past Feyenoord in one match, 4 past Napoli in another, 4 against Real Madrid in another and in our 4 games against Monaco we scored 6, 4, 4 and 5 with Dembele scoring 4 goals in a game twice and D'Amico once against them!!!!! In the final we faced PSG and after an enthralling 3-3 draw we came out on top on penalties to win the trophy for the 2nd time.

So domestically all is good apart from the fact I failed the Premier League FFP by £50m or so and we got fined £11m for that!!!! Its not the bank balance that kills us but the wages. For next season we are on £225m and are allowed £232m. I suppose at some point when I stop strengthening the squad with big name signings it will stop growing.

FINAL LEAGUE TABLE

FIRST TEAM SQUAD
View attachment 67924View attachment 67923

Standout player was Felice D'Amico. The 21y/o scored 27, assisted 32 and only from 47 starts and that's from the RW!!!!! Soumare took advantage of Pellegri's injury and in the 1st half of the season excelled and as we speak he is my highest valued player at £74m!!!

Passlack, Merino, Tielemans, Sane and Dembele also excelled while Pietro Pellegri who missed the 1st half of the season with a broken leg scored 20 goals from only 15 starts and 9 sub appearances!!!

On the downside - Sessegnon still hasn't pushed hard enough while Manuel Lanzini doesn't contribute enough anymore. Jose Henry - who when you compare him to Tielemans is far, far, far, far, far, far better is likely to play slightly out of position in AMC next season, unless I sign one!

THOUGHTS FOR THE SUMMER

I would like to sell Sandberg, Lanzini and Orsolini and depending on what I can get for them decides on who I buy tbh. As ever I would like to get work permits for some of the 9 players that I have out on loan at Nimes.

Now for the World Cup with France..........

ITALY APPOINT KRIS STUART AS MANAGER

After winning the World Cup with France I thought I did all that I could do with France so applied for a host of other jobs. Argentina tempted me but it was in the end a choice of either Brazil or Italy and I chose Italy because I have a vested interest in them due to Donnarumma, D'Amico and Pellegri.

France was decent to manage but I didn't actually like the makeup of my squad. Not a single decent natural AMC and some other slight annoyances.

PRE-SEASON

This was a different summer for all sorts of reasons. Obviously the World Cup with France distracted me but with my limited transfer budget of £55m I wasn't going to be signing my top targets. Different countries joined the EU which provided a boost for me, a player rejected a transfer and I realised that I had agreed to sell a player by mistake!!!!

We also won against the MLS all stars which apparently wasn't considered a friendly as I had to manage it and that was different lol.

Oh and regarding Nimes. My players scored over 60 goals for them in the league last season (league isn't loaded just going by player stats) and they duly moved out of Ligue 2 - TO BEING RELEGATED TO NON LEAGUE!!!!!! What the **** is that all about?

--

PLAYERS OUT

Firstly a small rant which affected my signings. Manuel Lanzini is a *****. I have offered him for transfer loads of times and finally Spurs offered me £45m so I chucked him into the U23s just to try and **** him off and give him a hint and he only went and rejected the contract and to date I still have the ***** with no interested parties!!!!

Anyway to sales and some servants for me left. Riccardo Orsolini, who I bought for £3.3m, left for AC Milan for £25.5m. He played 79 games for us and scored 17 times which was decent but he couldn't force himself to be a starter.

My first major signing Xadas has also gone. He still may be young but I thought we had better or could bring in better. We received an initial £21m for him from Lille and after 159 apps and 34 goals I wish him well. Braga scored as they received £5m of the fee the bastards!!!

Adam Armstrong (£1.5m), Joao Ribeiro (£700,000) and Steven Sessegnon (£375,000) also left as did Koki Nagai who I loaned out to Leverkusen last season but didn't realise that he would be sold for £1.1m after 5 appearances!!! Idiot.

I loaned out the usual 5,000 players to Nimes to get work permits while a few others went to other feeder sides. Ivan Perdomo who was the aforementioned amazing Colombia keeper in the World Cup got a work permit and is valued at £10m finally got a work permit and was loaned out to Reading. Karsten Sandberg was loaned out to Hull.

TOTAL INCOME - £52m

--

PLAYERS IN

I signed one player for the 1st team squad and that was
Maximiliano Lovera from Arsenal for £26.5m. It was a case of signing for signings sakes and also the fact that once Xadas left I promised Lascelles that I would strengthen, He looks technically gifted and hopefully he will do a job.
View attachment 67739

The rest were all regens and 2 were for decent money. Firstly
Krunoslav Munac was brought in from my feeder side Dinamo for £7.75m. The 18y/o looks a prospect and will hopefully get game time. Eji Yoshizaki came in from Sanfrecce for £3.2m and is now valued at £15m. He is also 18 and unfortunately doesn't have a work permit.
View attachment 67738View attachment 67737

The others were all regens bought for a total of just over £2m. Most are at Nimes to get work permits.
View attachment 67734View attachment 67733View attachment 67736View attachment 67735

TOTAL SPENT - £39.5m

--

FIRST TEAM SQUAD

Finally, 3 years after signing him my Serbian winger Ilica Vujosevic got a work permit as Serbia joined the EU. A couple of injuries have stunted his growth but at 20y/o he still has time and will get some game time as D'Amico's understudy. Jonathan Bradford has been promoted to the 1st team squad as my backup RB.

Tbh my main decision is who to play AMC? Lanzini is still picking up a wage, Lovera has come in and looks decent while Jose Henry is ridiculous but AMC isn't his natural position.........

This is definitely 2pts dropped as we threw away a 2 goal lead and then a 1 goal lead plus Pellegri missed a few chances to win it. That being said we didn't get beat.

SUMMARY

The 1st month of the season kicked us off and we duly collected 2 trophies plus got off to a decent start in the league as we won 2 and got a good away draw against Man Utd. Regarding the 1st team I decided to pick Eddie Farrell as a starter but AMC is still up for grabs. Lovera has started but not impressed, Henry could come in there when my other 2 CMs are fit and that lad Lanzini is still here lol.

In the transfer window I signed a regen striker that my DoF noticed for a pittance and another regen on a free transfer but I just signed him to help Gateshead lol.

Heading out was a few youngsters for small fees plus I loaned Woodman out to my feeder side Dinamo until January while Barnsley have got Jacob Dodds on loan and they have said he will be a key player for them in the Premier League so it will interesting to see how he develops.

In the cups we will play Brighton in the Carabao Cup while in the Champions League we will face Napoli, Gent and Lyon which isn't too bad.
