Could somebody build me the best possible custom PC for £450 to £500 to play FM smoothly and other games excluding the monitor.

I would be very grateful

You're going to be very hard pushed to get a gaming orientated PC for that price. An i5 alone will set you back about £300 and that's before you invest in RAM and a graphics card. If it's a Desktop, start small and upgrade the hardware: Invest in a Motherboard and an i5 processor and then every month or so, buy a 4GB stick of DDR3 RAM

Buy a pre made PC. Second hand or ebay or something. I bought a second hand PC for £525 that was more than capable than running 90% of games on decent settings (modest). I spent £190 on a top tier GPU and I've yet to play a game that it can't run on ultra.

Look around locally on gumtree and stuff. Might take a while, but it's easier around Christmas time. Any questions about what you find or whatever I'll be happy to help.

What sort of tech would i need to run all leagues/countries with large database? So every single player in the database is in my game, on 4/5 star performance/speed

Anyway to see if you can get real specs on it. Theres not any real info there, the VTX3Ds can go for £20 brand new depending on what card it is and it could be DDR3 not DDR5. I wouldnt touch it and looks overpriced.

AMD FX-6350, MSI Radeon R9 270X, Cooler Master K280 - System Build - PCPartPicker United Kingdom

This PC is £431, it is more than good enough to run a large amounts of leagues on Football manager while maintaining a high game speed.
You would also be able to multi task heavily while playing Football Manager as its a 6 core CPU. Not as good as the 8350 build I did, but your budget is a little less now.
This build also as a R9 270X, which is a factory overclocked 7870, to put that in perspective the GPU is 25% more powerful than the PSU GPU, and CPU is far more powerful.
With that PC you could play current generation titles at 1080p and high settings, but you would get 60fps instead of 30fps that most ps4 titles have.

The RAM is holding that system back a little, had to put 4gb of RAM in instead of 8gb, however its an easy future upgrade if you wish.

If you want to buy a prebuilt system, this one is good and basically what mine started out as AMD FX 8350 Eight Core 4Ghz 8GB 1TB HD3000 PC Desktop Computer | eBay

However there is no GPU, only the on board graphics which are not very good. You wouldn't play any modern games with this until you get a GPU in future.
However it would mince football manager.

If anyone is wondering why I'm recommending AMD CPU and not intel its because I'm assuming the TC wil play a lot of Football Manager, and the FX AMD CPU's are very good at processing Football Manager games, and multitasking.
Also they are cheaper and still more than enough for other games.

RichTUK and TheHig thank you so much for your help. Just one thing all the items you have listed are they all the things I would need apart from an operating system?

Its says 2 items are unavailable, what are suitable replacements?

it was a build i put together the other day, i'll have another look at it in a min. Will do some more later when I get a chance, didnt realise so much of that was sold out already

See on RichTUK i5 build he had to include a 7850 to keep cost down, the AMD build had a far better GPU the r9 280, which is basically just a repackaged 7970.

If you play mostly FM go with any of the AMD builds.

You could manage without a DVD-ROM, and using the stock CPU cooler. Just in case you really wanna save where possible.

Im really sorry, could you list the products or new products I need as I am really lost !
