Playing fitbae the Glesca Celtic way ;p

Good job matey, keep up the good work :D

Cheers :)

Good few years in now its allways my faveourate stgae now that you have built your own team.

Aye, i ken, though i just can't seem to do well in Europe, which is a pain in the backside! And finally lost a game as well not; 84 games without defeat and i lose 1-2 at home to Falkirk after beating Juve 1-0 at Celtic Park!

Aye its hard to get a run going in europe and takes time to build a reputation to attract a better class of players.

Aye its hard to get a run going in europe and takes time to build a reputation to attract a better class of players.

Aye, but hopefully this squad's got enough to take us a bit further, now that they're a bit more experienced!

February Update

Fixtures (Scottish Cup in teal, Champions League in red)
St. Johnstone 0-5 Celtic (Thijssen, Thijssen, Kryvtsov, Kryvtsov, Sanogo)
Celtic 3-0 Morton (Thijssen, Milevskyi, Aquino)
Celti 4-1 Inverness CT (Lukaku, Lukaku, Lukaku, Kadlec)
Hearts 0-1 Celtic (Verratti)
Aberdeen 1-3 Celtic (Kryvtsov, Kryvtsov, Kadlec)
Celtic 1-0 Juventus (Verratti)

Only remarkable game was against Juventus, with the Bhoys beating them with a Verratti strike! We didn't concede a goal either, which was extremely important!

Competitions
Currently hopefull in the Champions League, as we only need a draw or a goal in Italy!

Players
Thijssen's gone off a bit after a fantastic start at Celtic.

Right, due to Steam ******* up their newest "update," they have made FM impossible to play on my PC, as nothing happens when i double click the shortcut, nor when i click the actual .exe file. Got the save stored and all, but i won't be able to reinstall the game, as the disc's in another country.

Mate that ****** sucks.

Contacted Steam support, who asked me for a screenshot. Funnily enough, when i went to take one my games magically reappeared. Cunning Steam fixing things and pretending it never happened... So i'll continue it! ^^)

just read the whole thing there

Glad to hear you can continue mate.

woohoo!
awesome news matey.

Thanks for the kind words! :)

March Update

Fixtures (Scottish Cup in teal, League Cup in green, Champions League in red)
Celtic 1-2 Falkirk (Kryvtsov)
Dundee United 2-2 Celtic (Lukaku, Aquino)
Celtic 2-1 (Gallacher, Sanogo)

Celtic 2-0 Hibernian (Kryvtsov, Dell'Agnello)
Juventus 2-2 Celtic (De La Red, Thijssen)
Celtic 1-3 Rangers (Kadlec)
Hibernian 0-3 Celtic (Dell'Agnello, Gallacher, Sanogo)

Well, we lost our first league game in 84 matches. The bad thing is it came against Falkirk at Celtic Park. Dundee United forced a replay after a draw at Tannadice. We actually needed extra time to beat them at Parkhead too, which is less than ideal. The game against Hibs was good, pretty standard stuff. The game against Juventus we went 0-2 up after two brilliant counter attacks, but they pulled back after a while. We were playing a very defensive game, which i think paid off! Then we lost to Rangers at Celtic Park for the first time in years; that's two defeats in the row in the league! Luckily, we managed to outplay Hibernian at Easter Road!

Competitions
We've drawn Stade Rennais FC in the Quarter Finals, who've been overperforming in the Champions League, but are staving off relegation in Ligue 1! Yet, Chelsea were unable to beat them at the Bridge, and they beat Villareal 0-1 away (and lost 0-3 at home?!). They seem to have a strong away form, but weak home form.

Players
None of my players have really been performing well, as seen by my results in the league. However, Dell'Agnello's made a welcome return to the first team following gash performances from the other players.

Miscellaneous & News

Mr. Webb, Scott Brown and Aiden McGeady were apparently showing Thijssen the finer points of Glaswegian culture by getting steaming drunk in the Merchant City. The quartet was spotted shouting abuse at passersby. This apparently not the best way to prepare for the Old Firm.

Mr. Webb has been linked with the Spanish side Zaragosa, but Mr. Webb replied that he wasn't interested in some relegation-threatened Spanish side, when he could play the Champions League Quarter Finals and then proceeded to insult the journalist and his mum. He did add he may be interest in one or two of their players at a cut-rate price.

April Update pt 1

Fixtures (Champions League in red)
Celtic 1-0 Stade Rennais FC (Kadlec)
Celtic 5-0 St. Mirren (Kryvtsov, Kryvtsov, Kadlec, Kadlec, McGeady)
Stade Rennais FC 3-4 Celtic (Aquino, Sanogo, Femenia, Verratti)
Dundee 0-2 Celtic (Thijssen, Dell'Agnello)
Motherwell 0-2 Celtic (Ljajic, Lukaku)
Celtic 0-0 Falkirk

The first game against Stade was a nervy business where both teams had relatively few chances. Luckily, we knocked one past them! The away game almost gave me a nervous break down; we lead, they lead, we lead, they lead, and an injury time strike grants us the win! The team were simply unable to break Falkirk down; it happens.

Competitions
The league is now won! Pretty happy about it. We have drawn Chelsea in the Champions League.

Players

Ljajic's and Femenia have been immense so far!

Miscellaneous & News
When Celtic drew Chelsea the journalists promptly dubbed it "The Battle of Britain," like so many other games between Scottish and English clubs. Mr. Webb announced he wasn't German and told the journalists to go back to their history books and check who the belligerents were during the Battle of Britan.

Mr. Webb has been toutet the media's favourite to take over Barcelona if Guardiola decides to leave at the end of the season. Mr. Webb replied that he hadn't been approached by Barcelona and he couldn't see why Guardiola would want to leave. Mr. Webb has also been linked with St. Etienne, but Mr. Webb says he would never leave Celtic anyway and told the journalists to "**** aff an' min' yer ain business!"

Mr. Webb has apparently approached Benfica's Sidnei, who's out of contract at the end of the season. Celtic are also rumoured to have offered £750k and a pub lunch for Gianluca Romiti.

David Farrell, the on-loan Celtic striker at Hamilton has fired himself into Hamilton's record books as the highest scoring player to have played for them! Farrell's 22 goals so far this season has made journalists wonder why Celtic let the youngster go on loan in the first place. Mr. Webb was delighted and told the assembled media he was monitoring the boy's progress with delight. David Farrell's got the company of two other Celtic youngsters at Hamilton; Pálsson and McKinlay.

Celtic won the league after the 0-0 draw with Falkirk at Parkhead. Mr. Webb remarked that even if the average age of the squad had gone up by a year (from 21 to 22), the players still had years ahead of them!

Note: Stopped playing for tonight, next game's against Chelsea!

Didn't go too well :S

April Update pt 2

Fixtures (Champions League in red, Scottish Cup in teal)
Chelsea 3-0 Celtic
Falkirk 1-5 Celtic (Kadlec, Camacho, Dell'Agnello, Dell'Agnello, Verratti)
Celtic 1-2 Chelsea (Gallacher)

Competitions
Crashing out in the semi-finals isn't fun, but still got a few years to go. We've also reached the Scottish Cup final after hammering the Bairns.

Miscellaneous & News

Mr. Webb completely slated his team after the game at Stamford Bridge. "A manager can only do so much; if the players are overawed by the fact they're someone with a smaller stadium, there's not much one can do. They knew what they had to do and had clear instructions; counter attack and stop Demba Ba. They were obviously not up to the ****** task, as he scored a brace."

May Update
Fixtures (Scottish Cup in teal)
Dundee United 3-7 Celtic (Kryvtsov, Kryvtsov, Milevskyi, Milevskyi, Kadlec, Verratti, Aquino)
Rangers 1-2 Celtic (Kryvtsov, Brown)
Hibernian 1-3 Celtic (Kadlec, Kadlec, Aquino)
Celtic 2-0 Hearts (Milevskyi, Kryvtsov)
Celtic 3-0 Hibernian (Kadlec, Kadlec, Besson)

The Dundee United game was amusing to say the least. We were a bit unlucky to concede against Rangers, as an own goal from McGeady was their only goal. It was good to ensure a treble against Hibs, even though it was pretty much expected.

Competitions
Treble in Scotland is good, though there's a distinct lack of a challenge, which is boring. Getting to the Champions League semi finals was good though, even if we did get trashed by Chelsea.

Miscellaneous & News
Both Otamendi and Kryvtsov are transfer listed per their requests at Celtic. There was no comment from Mr. Webb, though he did swear a lot. As to exactly why the want to leave a club that achieved what it did this year is unclear. Mr. Webb's team talks, drinking and reputedly tackling Kryvtsov for being slow on his feet are speculated may have something to do with it.

Mr. Webb has taken Celtic to the Champions League semi finals and won the Treble in Scotland and there's speculation that he might be able to reach the same heights with Ghana in the World Cup Qualifiers.

Celtic was involved in the highest scoring game in SPL history when they beat Dundee United 7-3 at Tannadice. Some sloppy defending and aggressive attacking helped this box to box game shoot itself into the history books.

Celtic are reported to be spending £1M on upgrading their training facilities.

Mr. Webb, following the fantastic season, had signed a 4 year contract with Celtic, worth 95,000£ a month.

Can't believe your still going with this story, I commented on it months back when you first started. Really good going mate, good commitment. Check out my new story if you can :)

Nice league win, you absolutely dominated. With a few good signings maybe you will have a chance to go that step further in Europe, although you did very well last season.

Thanks, I'll have a wee look at your story too! Considering posting my squad and seeing where people think there's room for improvement!

Heh. i just rage-quit. The board accepted a £5M bid for Sanogo whom i paid £20M for. Going to reload tomorrow and see if i can do anything about it. i was also struggling with no less than 5 players requesting transfer.

Unlucky with Chelsea mate. Try and stick it ano it does your head in when the boeard **** with you but try and keep your players and they will settle maybe only sell the ones you can make a good profit on.

Well, i sort of just hit quit game, and i don't know when i last saved, it was complete knee-jerk reaction! Got exams coming up (last year at uni and applied for Cambridge PhD's), and more importantly, an Old Firm tonight;p

F
ixtures (Friendlies in blue)

Celtic 3-2 CSKA Moscow (Panchenko O. G., Kryvtsov, Lukaku)
Celtic 1-2 Barcelona (Besson)
Celtic 2-3 Atletico Madrid (Aquino, Sanogo)
Stirling 1-3 Celtic (Thijssen, Verratti, Lukaku)
Celtic 3-2 Internazionale (Sanogo, Dodô, Kryvtsov)
Celtic 4-2 A. C. Milan (Kadlec, Kadlec, Kadlec, Femenia)
Celtic 2-0 Shakhtar (Kadlec, Kadlec)
Celtic 2-0 Manchester United (Lukaku, Kryvtsov)

Sketchy game against CSKA we should've won easily. They were 0-2 up after the first half, though a brilliant fightback won it! Against Barca we lost plainly because they are a better side. However, one point to take away was Besson scoring. Not bad for a teenager! We were really unlucky against Atletico; we were 2-1 up with ten minutes to go and the team shut off and lost through a severe lapse in concentration with 25 seconds to go.

We should've beaten Stirling a lot more comfortably, but we were playing the reserves. I was quite happy with our game against Inter, with Dodô scoring a peach of a goal from 25 yards. Our next game, against our previous opponent's rivals, went exceedingly well. We led 2-0, they equalised and we hammered them for the last 20 minutes. Not quite the 3-0 win of last season, but we'll take it! Kadlec's hat-trick was excellent as well.

Kadlec's good form continued against Shakhtar, netting him a brace. We then beat Manchester United 2-0, which was a very nice way to wrap up the pre-season.

Competition summary

Extremely pleased with the season in general! Champions League semi finale and domestic Treble!

Players
During summer the tally of unhappy players has increased. Kiko Femenia, Otamendi, Kryvtsov and Renan all want to leave following lots of speculation in the press, in addition to sneaky managers praising their ungrateful hides! Even contracts worth 325,000 pounds a month aren't enough! Ridiculous!

As for the rest of the squad, there's room for improvement. But I'll give them another season to improve, then it's game on!

Miscellaneous & News
Celtic raced up the rankings following their European campaign, where Chelsea finally thumped them in the Champions League Semi Final. With an average age of 22, this is considered quite a feat by many involved in the sport.

Champions League Draw

We drew Bayern Munchen, who beat Chelsea in the final last year. Hurray.

August, September and October Update

Fixtures (Champions League in red, League Cup in green)
Hearts 1-0 Celtic
Celtic 6-0 Dundee (Lukaku, Kryvtsov, Kryvtsov, Kryvtsov, Kryvtsov, Kadlec
St. Johnstone 1-4 Celtic (Kryvtsov, McGeady, McGeady, Kadlec)
Celtic 2-2 Falkirk (Femenia, Lukaku)
Fenerbahce 0-0 Celtic
Aberdeen 0-2 Celtic (Sanogo, Thijssen)
Celtic 2-1 Arbroath (Besson, Tjissen)
Celtic 3-1 Rangers (Thijssen, Sanogo, Sanogo)

We lost to Hearts... We outplayed them, but couldn't break them down and they scored a late goal. Then we went 0-2 down at Parkhead to Falkirk, but clawed a point back in the dying minutes! We were unlucky to draw with Fenerbahce, but it could've gone their way as well. The Arbroath game was a sketchy affair, as another Hearts encounter loomed ever closer until we scored two. Our game against Rangers was an equally sketchy affair; we don't seem to wake up until the other team scores!

Competitions
We're doing alright, even though we could, and should, have done better.
