Playing fitbae the Glesca Celtic way ;p

December Update
Fixtures (Champions League in red)
Celtic 0-2 Real Madrid
Aberdeen 1-1 Celtic (Kadlec)
Motherwell 1-3 Celtic (Kadlec, Kadlec, Fitzpatrick O.G.)
Celtic 7-0 St. Mirren (Kryvtsov, Kryvtsov, Kryvtsov, Kadlec, Kryvtsov, Kryvtsov, Brown)*
Celtic 4-0 Hibernian (Verratti, Lukaku, Kryvtsov, Kadlec

The game against Real was far closer than the scoreline suggests. Higuain wasn't wasteful with his chances however, and Kadlec missed an open goal (!). Completely dominated against the Dons, but couldn't seem to break them down. They scored first, but in the 92nd minute we got a Kadlec equaliser. Routed Motherwell, St. Mirren and Hibs with three fantastic performances, with Kryvtsov's 5 goals being a new goal scoring record!

Competitions
Drew Inter in the Champions League, which is a potentially tricky one to navigate.

Player of the Month

Definitely goes to Sergiy Kryvtsov. Scored 5 goals against St. Mirren! Not bad for a centre back!

Miscellaneous & News

When it was known Celtic would play Inter in the first Champions League knock out stages, Mr. Webb seemed unperturbed. He asked the gathered press to take a look at their record against the Italian side, clearly alluding to the Lisbon Lions.

After the defeat at the hands of Real Madrid and the draw against Aberdeen, Mr. Webb took the Celtic squad up for a recreational few days at the Overlook Hotel. The whole squad apparently watched Stanley Kubrick's The Shining before withdrawing to the bar where they met this man. Boruc apparently screamed like a little girl after Mr. Webb had painted "redrum" on his door.

The only man in the bar.

Artur Boruc's door.

*Updated to 10.3 here. My wingers are working again!!! Using this corner configuration was lethal with the amount of corners you get from Goals Galore.

Good story, glad to see it back.

Hopefully you can give Inter a wee upset in the Champions' League. :)

Aye, think i can now that the 10.2 winger bug's been resolved! Had to take a short hiatus from FM as i had to do my thesis, which was handed in on Thursday! Never forgot about the story and was itching to continue!

January Update

Transfers
In
Guillermo Ochoa £8M (América (Mex))

Out
Artur Boruc Loan to Buy £625K, £9.25M (Real Madrid)
Shaun Maloney £5.5M (Middlesbourgh)
Paul McKinlay Loan (Stirling)

Artur's only cover for the f
irst team, so reckon he'll come back. Otherwise, it's not a bad wee deal. Bought Ochoa as he's younger and better than the Holy Goalie. I felt a twing of sadness for loaning him to Real.

Current l
ine up

Either Sanogo or Lukaku play as a targetman, with Milevskyi or Kadlec as a poacher. However, Milevskyi is more suited to playing as a targetman.

Fixtures (League Cup in green, Scottish Cup in teal)
Dundee 0-6 Celtic (Bale, Verratti, Sanogo, Sanogo, Kryvtsov, Kryvtsov)
Celt
ic 5-1 Dundee (Gallacher, Verratti, Verratti, Lukaku, Lukaku)
Celt
ic 2-0 Rangers (Milevskyi, Kryvtsov)
Falk
irk 1-5 Celtic (Kryvtsov, Kryvtsov, Kryvtsov, Kadlec, Caddis)
St. Johnstone 0-3 Celt

Celt
ic 4-0 Rangers (Brown, Milevskyi, Kadlec, Kadlec)
Celt
ic 6-1 Kilmarnock (Sanogo, Sanogo, Sanogo, Kryvtsov, Kryvtsov, Gallacher)

The f
irst win over Rangers was a touch sketchy as the team seemed to be underperforming in the first half, but two goals in the last ten minutes ensured our three points. All the other games were complete dominations, though when Killie were first to score at Celtic Park I was a touch nervous.

Player of the Month

Kryvtsov again! Look at the goals!

Miscellaneous & News
Gareth Bale has thrown a h
issy fit because Mr. Webb refuses to sell him. "We want to at least make a profit!" was his response to O. M.'s attempt a buying the young Welshman.

Feb-April update

Fixtures
Hearts 0-3 Celtic (Verratti, Kryvtsov, Lukaku)
Clyde 0-8 Celtic (Kryvtsov, Kryvtsov, Kryvtsov, Kakuta, Kakuta, Kadlec, Sanogo, De la Red)
Celtic 6-0 Dundee United (Kryvtsov, Kryvtsov, Milevskyi, Milevskyi, Sanogo, Ljajic)
Celtic 2-2 Inter (Kryvtsov, Brown)
Celtic 0-0 Aberdeen
Dundee United 2-3 Celtic (Milevskyi, Milevskyi, McGeady)
St. Mirren 1-5 Celtic (Silva, Brown, Milevskyi, Otamendi, McGeady=
Partick Thistle 0-4 Celtic (Sanogo, Sanogo, Sanogo, Gallacher)
Inter 4-1 Celtic (Sanogo)
Celtic 4-1 Motherwell (Lukaku, Lukaku, Milevskyi, McGeady)

Celtic 3-0 Motherwell (Sanogo, Sanogo, Sanogo)
Hibernian 0-0 Celtic
Celtic 4-0 Dundee (Lukaku, Lukaku, Kakuta, Sanogo)
Rangers 0-3 Celtic (Lukaku, Lukaku, Aquino)
Celtic 2-1 Bayern Munich (Lukaku, Milevskyi)
Celtic 2-0 Rangers (Kadlec, Kadlec)
Celtic 1-0 Aberdeen (Weatherston O. G.)
Celtic 3-0 Rangers (Kryvtsov, Brown, Gallacher)
Hearts 0-3 Celtic (Besson, Sanogo, Verratti)
Dundee United 1-5 Celtic (Lukaku, Lukaku, Kryvtsov, Aquino, Aquino)
Celtic 3-0 Falkirk (Besson, Aquino, Milevskyi)
Celtic 5-0 Falkirk (Milevskyi, Kryvtosv, Olejnik O. G., Kadlec, Kadlec)

Against Inter we would always struggle, however we took the lead at Celtic Park, but they equalised and then they took the lead. However, Broony scored to draw us equal. But we were going to struggle in Italy, as Kadlec was out with injury and Milevskyi was suspended after picking up a yellow in Glasgow. I was, however, not expecting to lose 4-1. I wasn't expecting us to go through after drawing 2-2 at Parkhead, but would've prefered to have lost by a bit less. Winning the League Cup 4-1 against Motherwell was good. Conceeding the goal at Dundee was ******* annoying, as it would've meant a 10 match clean sheet! Winning the season with a 0-3 win over Rangers at Ibrox was awesome, and then beating Bayern in a friendly was also good. The reason behind the game was trying to gauge where we are, as we don't get many games against good sides. We ended the season with a decisive 5-0 win over Falkirk in the Scottish Cup, with Milevskyi getting a goal and three assists!

End Of Season Analysis

Thought we did fairly well; I would've liked to have progressed somewhat further in the CL. Won

Keeper - Ochoa, Paulo and Delac. I may need to sell one. Sold Boruc for a total of £10 million.

Full backs - Struggling to hold onto Gareth Bale, which is a growing problem. Maybe try to get Diego Renan. Also, may want to get a somewhat better right back.

Centre backs - My centre backs are sound; Kryvtsov, Otamendi, Muniesa and Ahmed Besson (fantastic regen).

DM - Fully covered by De la Red and Camacho.

ML/R - Scott Brown and Ljajic have the right side sorted, and Gallacher and Aquino are sound on the left.

AM - McGeady and Verratti are fantastic; Kakuta's not even pushing for a spot.

Target man - Milevskyi is my main target man, but I prefer playing Sanogo or Lukaku. However, Milevskyi plays in the big games.

Poacher - Kadlec and Milevskyi are sound here. Wellington Silva is still not pushing for a spot.

Miscellaneous & News
Mr. Webb has become the manager of Ghana in a surprise move. Mr. Webb was thrilled to be able to spend his summer preparing Ghana for the World Cup qualifying stages. Mr. Webb declined offers from the ivory Coast and Nigeria.

Mr. Webb has been inducted into the Scotland Hall of Fame after winning the Scottish Cup. Mr. Webb failed to call a press conference due to being sloshed.

Celtic are currently upgrading their youth facilities which are supposed to be ready in 4 months.

Mr. Webb has lately asked his assistant manager to handle the press, after an incident where the press were greeted by loud rock n' roll (specifically *** Pistols) and a clearly intoxicated and half-naked manager.

League Table

Sorry about the long update, thought i'd done a Feb one!

Good strong squad mate hopefully youll get a better run in the Champions League next year.

Summer Ghana Update

After a few friendlies I settled upon a line-up using the same tactics as I do with Celtic.

As you can see,
I've got three quality DM's and a good ML at my disposal, but not much quality elsewhere.

F
ixtures (2014 World Cup Qualification)
Rwanda 1-4 Ghana (Asamoah, Gyan, Gyan, Gyan)
Ghana 5-0 Guinea-Bissau (Gyan, Muntari, Essien, Osei, Dickoh)
Ghana 3-0 Sudan (Essien, Osei, Muntari)
Ghana 1-0 Rwanda (Essien)

The home game against Rwanda was a nervy business; Essien didn't score until 30 seconds of injury time remained! Gyan is out for the forseeable future with broken ribs, courtesy of Sudan.

Miscellaneous & News
Perrotta and Gudjohnsen have signed on at Celtic as coaches. Ghana is struggling to find anyone wanting to coach, be physios or in general work with the Ghanese team.

Mr. Webb made himself unpopular in Rwanda when he called it "German East Africa" during a press conference prior to the game in Ghana.

Celtic 1-0 Manchester United (Milevskyi)
Celtic 2-3 Athletico Madrid (Brown, Gallacher)

Celtic 1-1 Manchester City (Gallacher)
Celtic 3-0 A. C. Milan (Brown, Bale, Kryvtsov)
Celtic 1-3 Porto (Kryvtsov)

Our form varied with how many players were match fit and above 80%, though our worst result was clearly against Porto. These games tested our players and brought in a lot of money. Kadlec truly is a hot/cold player; he can turn out fantastic displays when he can be motivated.

Fixtures (League Cup in green, friendlies in blue, Champions League in red)

Celtic 3-1 Dundee United (Onyszko O.G., Kakuta, Dell'Agnello)
Celtic 0-5 Barcelona
St. Johnstone 0-3 Celtic (Brown, Kryvtsov, Kryvtsov)

Celtic 0-0 Anderlecht
Dundee 0-5 Celtic (Aquino (pen), Aquino (pen), Lukaku, Verratti, Bale)
Rangers 0-6 Celtic (Sanogo, Sanogo, Lukaku, Aquino, Kryvtsov, Milevskyi)

We got demolished by Messi rather than Barcelona. We've been poor in the Champions League; aside from the Everton game where we played really well and stole a goal, we're struggling.

Compet
itions

We're doing swimmingly in the League aside from two draws, though things aren't quite as peachy in the Champions League. We've drawn too many games and now we only have Everton at home and the rest away.

M
iscellaneous & News

Celtic's youth facilities have been further upgraded and now are amongst the best in the world. Andy Hyslop, who's been through it, is the first player after Charles Webb took over to come through it and play for the first team, and it is rumoured Celtic may sell De la Red come January to accomodate for the youngster. Andy Hyslop has had loan spells at Fulham and Stirling.

After almost a 2 years of whining, Gareth Bale signed a 4 year contract with Celtic, citing the excellent local sheep as the main reason.

When asked what the money acquired from the high-profile pre-season friendlies would be used for, Mr. Webb replied "Team-building vacation to Australia, contraceptives supplied. We're to spread our love of football."

Mr. Webb has taken to wearing expensive Ray Ban aviators of late, replacing the cheap H&M ones. They are sexy.

Mr. Webb has become more media-friendly of late, and when asked where he was during the league game against Rangers and Ghana's game against Sudan, he curtly replied "Waxy O'Connor's." Waxy O'Connor's is a pub in Glasgow.

After facing Rangers in the league cup, Mr. Webb was asked about the discipline his side and Rangers showed, as Boyd two-foot tackled Lukaku, Ljajic being sent off after 25 minutes, one penalty and a slew of yellow cards. "We showed spirit, dedication and attitude, and we won 0-6. So **** 'em."

SPL and Champions League tables

Right, a few games have been redone....

Fixtures
Dundee 0-2 Celtic (Eren, Silva)
Rangers 0-5 Celtic (Femenia, Milevskyi, Verratti, Kryvtsov, Bale)

Eren scored his first goal ever for Celtic. Femenia had a terrific game against Rangers; 2 assists and a goal.

Miscellaneous & News
Mikhailichenko, the Ukraine gaffer, was spotted at Ibrox, apparently having a look at Kryvtsov and Milevskyi, both of whom turned out impressive performances.

November Update

Fixtures (Champions League in red)
Celtic 3-0 St. Mirren (Kakuta, Lukaku, Lukaku)
Anderlecht 0-5 Celtic (Milevskyi, Milevksyi, Kryvtsov, Kryvtsov, Verratti)
Motherwell 2-5 Celtic (Kryvtsov, Kryvtsov, Eren, Verratti, Milevskyi
Dundee United 0-1 Celtic (Sanogo)
Celtic 4-1 St. Johnstone (Sanogo, Kadlec, Ljajic, Ljajic)
Celtic 5-0 Hearts (Besson, Ljajic, Besson, Dell'Agnello, Besson)
Wisla 0-5 Celtic (McGeady, McGeady, Kryvtsov, Kryvtsov, Kryvtsov)

Whopping return to form in the Champions League! Every single game in the league won with a three goal margin! Very good month, though too many goals conceded.

Competitions
Well, we've qualified for the Champions League with 10 goals in two games, after a scrappy start. Hopefully we can keep the momentum going and go a bit further as well!

Players
Kryvtsov and Muniesa are injured, which is problematic for my defence. Otamendi is the first choice and Ahmed Besson's good, it leaves us with very little cover.

Adem Ljajic has really stepped it up a gear, benefiting from an injured Scott Brown. He's currently giving him a run for his money in the starting line-up.

Miscellaneous & News
In a friendly game ending 1-2 between the Ukraine and Belgium, all the goal scorers were Celtic players! Milevskyi netted the first goal of the game, whereas a late brace from Lukaku won it for the country famous for its waffles, trapiste beer and being the place Britain and Germany sort their differences out.

Several clubs are trying to pry Femenia, Otamendi and Muniesa away from Parkhead with varying degrees of success. Otamendi has demanded transfer, Femenia wanted one but Mr. Webb apparently told him to "sit down and shut up," whereas Muniesa was just flattered by the interest shown in him, but not really keen on anything further, much like a hot blonde in a club.

There's much amusement as André Ayew, who has got a first team spot in Mr. Webb's Ghana, is the SPL top scorer... For Rangers. Mr. Webb was not available for comment.

December Update

Fixtures (Champions League in red)
Morton 1-4 Celtic (Femenia, Besson, Kadlec, Aquino)
Celtic 2-2 Everton (Kadlec, Kadlec)
Falkirk 0-2 Celtic (Femenia, Milevskyi)
Celtic 2-1 Aberdeen (Milevskyi, Aquino)
Celtic 2-1 Dundee (Aquino, Sanogo)
Rangers 0-3 Celtic (Sanogo, Sanogo, Milevskyi)

The game against Everton was a nervy business where we needed a win to go top of the group. That we were missing Kryvtsov was painfully obvious, as Otamendi doesn't have the same aerial ability. Kadlec scored an audacious lob from 25 yards early on to give us the lead, but just before half time Everton struck twice, and in the dying minutes of the second half, Kadlec brought us equal. Two very sketchy games against Aberdeen and Dundee, where the visitors scored first! Ended the month with a solid win over Rangers, where truth be told, they were far more dangerous than us in the first half!

Competitions
We're through the group stages and have drawn Juventus, which is hopefully an overcomable obstacle.

Players
After the Falkirk game, Femenia's been *****, though Aquino has been faithfully driving the goals in.

Miscellaneous & News
Tony Mowbray, the very successful Tottenham manager who's taken them to the Champions League, has shown interest in Otamendi. Mr. Webb told the former Celtic manager "to get stuffed."

It's rumoured Wellington Silva has been sold to Albion Rovers for an undisclosed amount, two cans of tennents, a fish supper and a Snickers.

Mr. Webb is rumoured to have brought in another striker, taking the total number of strikers at Celtic to 7.

Players
Thijssen has impressed during his first month at Celtic! 11 goals in total is pretty impressive! Hat-trick debut as well!

Ljajic and Verratti have also scored a few goals and got a lot of assists this month!

Miscellaneous & News

Celtic's new signing, Edwin Thijssen has made an instant impact at Celtic, with 8 goals in his first 4 league games for the club, and another hat-trick in the cup, and won the Player of the Month award as well!

Mr. Webb was apparently annoyed with the Celtic board as they didn't give him the funds to sign Nico Hauser and Wilson, two very promising youngsters.

Good few years in now its allways my faveourate stgae now that you have built your own team.
