Celtic 2-0 Kilmarnock (Milevskyi, Ljajic) (Camacho sent off)
Hearts 0-2 Celtic (Bale, Kryvtsov) (De la Red sent off)

The pre-season friendlies didn't go as well as hoped, though the win against Arsenal was good. Came from 0-2 down to draw against Liverpool thanks to an 89th minute equaliser from Ahmed Besson! Solid games against St. Johnstone and Kilmarnock kicked off the season, with Kadlec being adjudged offside for two goals against Kilmarnock. A Killie player got sent off, and in the next game against Hearts de La Red got sent off together with Eggert Jonsson.

Miscellaneous & News
After the announcing their pre-season friendlies fixtures, journalists were calling Celtic for more information as so many top European teams were coming to Parkhead. Mr. Webb was asked whether he had delusions of grandeur, whereupon Mr. Webb replied: "Now that you mention it, I've been wanting to invade Poland for quite some time. Anyway, I've gotta be off!" Mr. Webb later phoned the journalist using Artur Boruc's Polish phone, greatly worrying the journalist. Celtic announced massive gate receipt income after the Valencia game. The club had raised a total of £6,466,530 through gate receipts in pre-season, 20% of the total gate receipts for the whole of last year.

Celtic's assistant manager Italo Galbiati signed a new contract then retired, forcing Mr. Webb to recruit the services of Massimo Neri!

Claude Makélélé suffered a brief bout of food poisoning after a nasty chippy consumed in Glasgow. Best Kebab on Cathedral Street is under investigation.

Ahmed Besson became the youngest player to ever play for Celtic; two days after his 16th birthday he debuted against Kilmarnock at Celtic Park.

Mr. Webb applied for the vacant managerial posts in Argentina and Ireland, but was rebuffed.

After the Hearts game Mr. Webb was asked what he thought of the amount of cards handed out in the last few games. "Ach well, the referees aren't always right, but the players have been a touch rougher this season. Hopefully they'll tidy up their act after this." Celtic are in a bit of fix, as Camacho is injured and suspended, De la Red is suspended and Crosas was sold last week. Makélélé may get to play after all! And Mr. Webb needs to sort it out quickly, or people may start to question his magnificence!

Thanks, is Neri any good? He was a bit of a last resort as i couldn't figure out what i really needed as my coaches were already pretty decent.

Makelele? Thought he retired.

Got him when i thought i wouldn't be getting in any more DM's, so he's just going to tutor Camacho now.

7 mil for caldwell is a great sale
great thread!

Hehe, wasn't playing him and got my hands on a fantastic French regen and Marc Muniesa, so no qualms about letting him go!

Also, will update next weekend. Got my draft dissertation due on Thursday.

September Update

Key Players
Crucial to this year's campaign, especially the European campaign, are Artem Milevskyi, Artur Boruc and Kryvtsov. Essentially, Milevskyi needs to bang the goals in and we need to stay solid at the back.

F
ixtures (League cup in green, Champions League in red)
Celtic 4-1 Dundee United (Gallacher, Milevskyi, Milevskyi, Milevskyi)
Celtic 3-2 Rapid Wien (Maloney, Milevskyi, Kadlec)
Celtic 3-0 Aberdeen (Verratti, Kadlec, Kadlec)
Berwick 0-4 Celtic (Dell'Agnello, McGeady, Sanogo, Ljajic)
St. Mirren 0-4 Celtic (Dell'Agnello, Dell'Agnello, Dell'Agnello, Kryvtsov)
Real Madrid 0-0 Celtic

All our league games were convincing displays of power, but against Rapid we came back from 0-2 down after the first half; tremendous fightback! Real Madrid controlled the game, but had **** all penetration, thanks to the Holy Goalie! We were dangerous on the break, Milevskyi and Kryvtsov attempts were scrambled off the line more than once!

Competitions
Done well so far, especially pleased with 0-0 against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeau! Casillas and Boruc both had terrific games! We're not top of the group due to goal difference, but we'll get there!

Miscellaneous & News
Celtic's new youth and training facilities are now complete. Sporting top facilities, the club hopes to attract better players and better youth to fuel the club for the coming years. Mr. Webb was ecstatic about the new facilities, especially about the Rocky training montages constantly being projected onto the wall, accompanied by the original music. Also included in the new facilities is the complete Rocky DVD collection, including soundtrack. Mr. Webb stated that the Rocky montages were better motivators than Scott Brown wiggling around in his underwear, singing the Divinyls' i Touch Myself.

All part of the new facilities

Got a good run going, Tho I dont think I'll ever look at Scott Brown the same.

Aye, but the Champ ions League games have been sketchy affairs. Scraping a win at home after a terrific second half performance... And did the same against Toulouse now. They're wins, but in no way convincing ones.

October and November Update

Fixtures (Champions League in red, League Cup in Green)
Hibernian 1-2 Celtic (Kadlec, Kadlec)
Celtic 2-1 Motherwell (Kadlec, Kadlec)
Celtic 3-2 Toulouse (Milevskyi, Milevskyi, Milevskyi)
Rangers 0-6 Celtic (Webster O.G., Whittaker O.G., Kadlec, Kadlec, Kadlec, Sanogo)
Dundee United 0-2 e. (Lukaku, Aquino) (Delac sent off)
Celtic 2-2 Falkirk (Femenia, Kadlec) (Otamendi sent off)
Toulouse 2-1 Celtic (Dell'Agnello)
Celtic 4-0 St. Johnstone (Sanogo, Sanogo, Sanogo, McGeady)
Celtic 1-1 Hearts (Sanogo)
Rapid Wien 1-5 Celtic (Milevskyi, McGeady, McGeady, Brown, Kadlec)
Kilmarnock 1-2 Celtic (Sanogo, Verratti)
Celtic 3-1 Dundee (Caddis, Besson, Maloney)

October started off scrappily with three dodgy wins, where we came back from 0-2 down against Toulouse. Then against Rangers something happened. We absolutely destroyed them; Kadlec was on fire, though we were a bit lucky with two own goals. Then the form went down against Dundee United, with Delac being sent off for a hand ball. The keeper sent off for a handball... idiot picked the ball up outside the box.

Otamendi got sent off early against Falkirk, resulting in a much more timid Celtic. Toulouse routed us in France, and the score could've been far worse, though they didn't seal the win until injury time. We deserved to lose. Then our form picked up (again) against St. Johnstone where Sanogo was played from the off and putting faith in the youngster paid off! McGeady also started finding his form. A poor game against Hearts followed, with a massive media battle build-up. Then Rapid opened the floodgates and got destroyed. A win against Killie with a team of youngsters who controlled the game and were unlucky to concede was satisfactory, with more or less the same team seeing off Dundee.

Compet
itions

Qualified for the Champions League final stages, still in all the cups and safely ahead of everyone in the league.

Miscellaneous & News

Mr. Webb was linked with Sevilla and Deportivo in November, though he clearly stated he didn't want to leave for any team or money.

Mr. Webb lashed out against "title" rivals Hearts after some goading, saying Hearts weren't going to win anything at all.

De la Red finally realised he was being a spoiled brat and officially apologised to Mr. Webb for doubting his magnificence.

Christian Gourcouff, the O.M. gaffer has been showering Milevskyi with compliments in the media. Mr. Webb is apparently less than amused. Napoli are after Muniesa and Getafe are after Bale. Mr. Webb has said neither are for sale, especially now that Dôdó's out with a broken ankle.
