*** January Update ***

Very good month this. Still top of the league and through to the League Cup final :) Benjani starting to hit the goal trail and brought in a few fresh faces for the title run-in. Had a run of 20 games unbeaten in the league, which has stood us in good stead to win the SPL, at least. :)

Results: ( League in normal font, Cup games in italics. )

Celtic 1-1 Rangers - Late McDonald equaliser was the least we deserved.
Hamilton 0-2 Celtic - Strong showing in the Scottish Cup 4th Round.
Celtic 2-0 Falkirk - Another confident showing.
St. Johnstone 0-1 Celtic - Good scrappy win.
Motherwell 1-2 Celtic - Good showing from youngsters to reach the final.

Competitions

Sit proudly atop the league table, 7 points clear of nearest challengers Rangers. Into the Scottish Cup 5th Rnd. to host Dundee after win at 2-0 Hamilton. Have drawn At. Madrid in the Europa League 1st. Knockout Round, which was the round the board would expect us to reach. I'm quietly confident that we could cause an upset. Playing Rangers in the League Cup final after the youngsters - yet again - showed their quality and defeated Motherwell 2-1. at Hampden. See screenshots for more.

Transfers

Busy month here for me, investing some serious money into top-quality youngsters from across the globe. The pre-arranged transfer of Korean midfielder Ki-Sung-Yong ( 20 y.o. ) was added to that of Stirling Smith ( 16 ) on a 250K deal from Aberdeen, a £4M signing of 16 year old Spanish midfielder Sabino Ormaextea. Brazilian striker Alipio ( 17 ) joined from Real Madrid ( 375K ) and Left-back Sergio Garcia ( 16 ) left hometown club Mallorca for 150K. Meanwhile, Hotshot Italian striker Simone Dell'Agnello moved to Scotland from ( the inter side of ) Milan, and Nicolas Lodeiro, the 20 year-old Uruguayan attacking-midfielder, left C.F. Nacional for £2.7M, after being impressed by manager Christopher McLaughlin's future plans for the club.

More players left the club as well, with the highest-profile sale being centre-half Stephen McManus jetting off to Sevilla, with the Spanish side acquiring his services for 2.5M. Fellow defender Darren O'Dea left for Wolfsburg after returning from a loan spell at Championship side Reading. Hibs signed Jason Marr for £500 plus future clauses and incentives, while Bumbling striker Chris Killen joined Belgian outfit Standard Liege for £300K after failing to score at all this season. Finally, Japanese winger Koki Mizuno joined Club America in Mexico for £170K.

Good luck mate, I'll follow this! :)

Hi, i'm playing with Celtic too :D

Buy Erik Huseklepp and put him as a striker, i bought him cheap and sold him for alot more the next season to Chelsea + he was my top scorer. In the second transfer window buy Adriano. Patrick Viera gonna be free from Inter so you can get him after a while.

Here is my tactic, you may notice i'm on the 3rd place but i've only played 2 games in the second season:

January - March Update

Hey guys, another good couple of months. Having a swell time with this story :)

----------------------------------

Competitions:

Top of the league by 8 points (screenshot), and winners of the League Cup. Still unbeaten in three showings against Rangers, 3 wins ( 2 league and 1 LeagueCup ) and a draw ( league ). Through to ScottishCup Semis vs. Inverness CT, other game is Hearts - Dundee United. Lost out in Europa League, but very happy with performance(s).

-----------------------------

Results:

Hamilton 1-2 Celtic
Celtic 1-1 Hibs - Just could not score
Dundee 1-3 Celtic - Scottish Cup 5th Round.
Celtic 0-1 Hearts - Much the same as Hibs game.
Aberdeen 0-3 Celtic - Great recovery from shaky patch in league.
Celtic 2-3 At. Madrid - EuropeLeague 1st Knockout Rnd. - 2-0 before getting complacent.
Dundee United 0-4 Celtic - Fantastic performance
At. Madrid 3-3 Celtic - 6-5 aggregate loss, but go out with our heads held high.
Rangers 2-3 Celtic - Another win against the HH ( Hated Huns )
Falkirk 1-1 Celtic - Struggle for inconsistency continues.
Dunfermline 2-4 Celtic - Good strong win to get through to Cup semi-finals.
Rangers 0-1 Celtic - First silverware comes with triumph over Gers, LeagueCup coming home! :D
Celtic 2-0 St. Johnstone.
St. Mirren 0-2 Celtic - Delighted with this as we had a very depleted squad - see screenshot.

-------------------------------

Miscellaneous:

Took over as manager of Nigeria. Will post national team results with Celtic results from now on. Qualified for the WorldCup before my arrival - in Group C with Costa Rica, Holland and Serbia. Hoping that I can secure some young Nigerian talent for Celtic and incrrease my managerial reputation while in charge of Nigeria.

Finally, Aly McCoist has joined Arsenal as a coach. After the recent premiership brothel scandal, he realisede just what he was missing. Not the Stadia, the players nor the money, but Peter Ried's ping-pong girls. :P

End of Season Update

Well you'll all be pleased to know that I've finished my first season on this thread and hope to continue for many more to come :)

Competitions:

Unfortunately I lost the league on the last day after letting an 8 point lead slip from my last update :| :( But the up-side is that we completed a domestic cup double with a 2-1 win over Dundee United at Hampden.

Results: All in League except those in Italics

Celtic 1-1 Kilmarnock - Just one of those games. You press and press but just can't score

Hibs 2-2 Celtic - Another frustrating result. :|

Celtic 2-0 Motherwell - Back on track with solid performance. (H)

Rangers 2-0 Celtic - Not as bad as scoreline suggests. They were just better on the day.

Dundee United 1-0 Celtic - A Boruc blunder put our title hopes in jeopardy and let Rangers top the table for the first time since September. Darren Dods hupmed a long-ball up the park, only for Boruc to rush out and let the ball hit his waist, then turn side-on as DAvid Goddwillie passes the ball in from 18 yards. :@

Inverness CT 1-2 Celtic - Finally, a win! :D :P Good performance, scoreline should have been higher.

Celtic 3-0 Hearts - Another good performance, but we had to rely on Rangers to slip-up. They scored to win 2-1 against Aberdeen after being 1-0 down, in the 94th minute.... :(

Celtic 2-1 Aberdeen - Another good display but this time Rangers, with 10 men, scored through Bosnian Sasa Papac on 84 minutes :|

Motherwell 0-1 Celtic - Had to win by > 3 goals and hope Rangers slipped-up. In the end neither happened but now we are desperate to win next year.

Dundee United 1-2 Celtic - Good performance to win Scottish Cup :)

Transfers: Have been very busy, as you will see in the screenshots.

Main Transfers IN:

David Goodwillie - £6M - Dundee United.
Abou Diaby - £3.5M - Arsenal
Landry N'Guemo - £1.7M - AS Nancy Lorraine
Nabil El Zhar - £850K - Liverpool

Main Transfers OUT:

Marc Crosas - £ 4.1M - Napoli
Zheng Zhi - £1M - Hertha BSC Berlin.
Danny Fox - £850K - West Ham
Lukasz Zaluska - £650K - Arsenal
Shaun Maloney - £7M - Tottenham
Paul McGowan - £150K - Walsall

Pre-Season:

A very good pre-season so far in terms of scores and performances....

Exeter 0-2 Celtic
Partick Thistle 1-5 Celtic
Albion Rovers 0-4 Celtic
Rochdale 0-6 Celtic
Crewe Alexandria 1-6 Celtic

Champions League:

Drawn against Austrian side Grasshoppers. Play the away-leg first, which is my next game.

Nigeria

I had little time to be despondent over coming second in the SPL a I had a World Cup to go to. What a great time we had. Nigerian fans partied, drank, sang - and some even wore Celtic strips. We had a hard group of:

The Netherlands
Costa Rica
Nigeria :D
Serbia

.... but we had some confidence that we could cause an upset.

World Cup Results:

Costa Rica 1-1 Nigeria - 1-0 vs. a deflated 10 men until Joseph Yobo plays a great through ball to their striker, who runs onto it and scores.

The Netherlands 4-2 Nigeria - 3-0 down at half-time after defensive game-plan collapsed. Went 'Overload' in the second 45 minutes and managed to win that half 2-1. :)

Serbia 2-1 Nigeria - A good performance by most accounts, just not the score.

So we flopped in the World Cup, gaining only 1, solitary, point. Ah well, there's always... 4 whole years later :| :P

Finally, thanks to all those who are reading this - I really appreciate your support  :) Just ask btw if you would like any more screenshots ;) Any tips for the story or for my team are nice also. Hopefully you will continue to read my for my next season and further as we attempt to topple the rule of the establishment side... the HH

Thanks again, Chris :) ;)

You paid a lot for Goodwillie! But you got good deals on Maloney and Crosas; as you know Maloney's the mainstay on my right so hope you've made the right decision! Unlucky with the league, but at least you won both cups! Think you could've received more for Fox and Zhi; not been using them at all?

Hoping for a national team managerial post as well; can make it a challenge to also win the World Cup;p

please put the goalscorers in future, id love to know whos scoring

Good decision buying Diaby. Could've got him cheaper at the start at the season, but his value is going to go up, granted you play him enough :P Unlucky about the title though mate, next season, you'll win it :)
