SEPTEMBER UPDATE

Millwall v Dagenham & Redbridge

« Ward (8.1)
% Johnstone's Paint Trophy 1st round
This Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie against League Two Dagenham gave some of Millwall's reserve players a chance to impress. Manager Dan Lake made eight changes to the team that started against Brighton but this Millwall team still dominated possession. However, they didn't score their first goal until the 35th minute, a lovely passing move saw Steve Morison play Jason Price in who timed his run perfectly to remain onside and place the ball beyond the 'keepers reach. On 74 minutes Millwall sealed the win when Alan Dunne played a free kick into the area and captain Darren Ward rose above his marker to score with a thumping header.

Millwall travelled to Kent to face a Gillingham side who sat one place below them in the Coca-Cola League One table, by virtue of an inferior goal difference. It was the visitors who drew first blood, with David Martin scoring in the 17th minute from Steve Morison's clever assist. As it turned out this was the only goal of the game but Millwall could have won by a greater margin had it not been for some woeful finishing.

Millwall v Bristol Rovers

The Lions have made a terrific start to the season and few expected them to come away from this game against struggling Bristol Rovers with anything less than three points. The London side made a great start to the game, opening the scoring in the 9th minute. Defender Darren Ward intercepted a goal kick and played the ball forward to Zavon Hines on the halfway line, Hines flicked the ball on for Steve Morison and from 30 yards out he sent a crashing drive into the back of the net. But the Bristol Rovers players refused to let their heads drop and played some good football as they searched for an equaliser. The levelling goal came 8 minutes from half time, Ben Hunt's shot from an acute angle was kept out by David Forde but Ghanaian Jo Kuffour was on hand to smash home the rebound. Both sides contributed to an entertaining second half but some good goalkeeping from Forde (Millwall) and Andersen (Rovers) kept the scores level.

Millwall v Huddersfield

An assured display from Millwall saw them score four past Huddersfield whilst ensuring that their opponents didn't get a single shot on target. Targetman Steve Morison scored the opener on 19 minutes as he received the ball on the edge of the area and hit a low shot into the bottom corner of the goal. Millwall's second and third goals came in a 5 minute spell during the second half. In the 55th minute the Huddersfield defence failed to deal with a David Martin corner and Millwall's loanee defender Ritchie De Laet poked home the loose ball. Five minutes later Anton Jongsma's low drilled cross was turned into the net by striker Zavon Hines. Alan Dunne completed the scoring with a 90th minute penalty after Huddersfield's Robbie Simpson pushed over Ali Fuseini in the area.

Leyton Orient v Millwall

Top of League One Leyton Orient today entertained third placed Millwall in an energetic and thrilling game. A committed display from Millwall saw them take a 2-0 lead over their hosts with goals from Steve Morison and Anton Jongsma. On 22 minutes Morison found himself in the Orient area with just the 'keeper to beat, with Jamie Jones wrong footed Morison went around him and passed the ball into an empty net. Jongsma's 51st minute strike from 30 yards or more gave the Lions a 2-0 lead and will be an early contender for goal of the season.
At 2-0 it looked like Millwall were going to leapfrog Leyton Orient in the league table but a 76th minute goal from O's striker Scott McLeish sparked a furious comeback. Just four minutes later the Millwall defence were caught napping and Stephen Purches beat the offside trap to score the equaliser with a composed finish. Millwall came closest to wining the game at the death but Jones made good saves from Neil Harris and David Martin.

Millwall v Yeovil

« Martin (9.0)

Millwall returned to winning ways this afternoon against a lacklustre Yeovil Town side. This game was a slow starter with the ball trapped in midfield for much of the first half. The first opening of real note, in the 24th minute, saw David Martin finish a counter attacking move with an unruffled finish under the body of the advancing Alex McCarthy. Yeovil Town's tactic seemed designed to contain their opponents and they rarely ventured out of their own half, however, Millwall did score a second in the 64th minute. Neil Harris started the match ahead of Zavon Hines and the manager's decision was rewarded when the striker got ahead of his marker to head home from Martin's cross.

I really like the layout of this story !! There are a couple of things I would like to know though !!

1) How to record videos
2) What skin are you using
3) And how did you make those sky sports articles.

Good luck with Millwall !

Why is there no fans/stands in your matches?

It seems to be slowing down when I'm using FRAPS to record and have the stands on show, so had to turn them off to get smoother video. 8-|
