My overall most enjoyed successes in FM are:
- FM05: getting the Wigan (championship) job when I was stuck with Rushden at L1 (three seasons there after promoting them from L2, and with the last season being worse than the previous, going from being 1pt short of promotion play off to need the winter transfers to get clear of relegation, though still ended just 5pts short of promotion play off in the end) and take them to Premier in the first season. I moved to FM09 before playing that first PRM season.
- FM09: Doing a game getting in the skin of a more rigurous manager as I was in previous games (see Dexther Bolle, Crewe Alexandra story, though Sophitia is hotter FM09 story here) which show how much fun is it doing it that way instead of going transfers happy. And a very special feeling of discovering Andy Carroll, who I loaned to become my key striker when I played championship in the second season.
- FM10: Getting to draw 1-1 to Real Madrid scoring the first goal and defeating Barça and Atlético de Madrid in my first season in La Liga with Burgos who I brought up from Tercera (fourth tier).
- FM11: Still waiting to get to one such success. Again experiencing how much more gratifying is taking the role of rigurous manager who doesn't go to the transfer for whatever looks shiny.
