How did Mancini stay @ City for that long.. City should have sacked him as happens usually in the game.. weird

How did Mancini stay @ City for that long.. City should have sacked him as happens usually in the game.. weird

Considering he didn't win anything in the first season, didn't even get to a cup final and only finished 3rd in the premiership it was strange that he wasn't sacked there and then, but to go on for 19 years and only get to 1 European Champions league final and lose it and only win 1 Europa League is beyond belief.

Theres also another City Manager Malcolm Anderson who joined in 2039 and didn't win anything for 7 years before winning the FA Cup in 2046 next win was the European Champions League in 2049, never won the Premiership and was finally sacked in 2053 so only 2 major trophies in 14 years ???, Man City chairmen must be very lenient !

I'm in 2018 and City has won absolutely nothing, but Mancini is still there.

Psycho's FM13 British 2050 and beyond Save-game Project

For those unaware there's a brilliant thread On SI Games forum by roversawh7 which looks at how far in the future you can get in a save game with the big 6 European Nations and takes a look at the leagues and competitions every 100 years. Link here FM13 Holiday Project 2: Top 6 European Countries

So hows mine going to be different you ask, well for a start I'm just going to be focusing on England,Scotland, Wales, Ireland and Northern Ireland Leagues (all lowest leagues loaded) and the major continental and International Competitions. And I'm going to be uploading screen shots every 25 years (game years) apart from the first which starts as the title says in 2050.

I'm also adding a...

Young Player Watch where at the start of the save files I'll be picking out a player 18 or under to see how they did during the 25 years.
Best Player Watch at the start of the save
Best Player Focus at the end of the Save
Transfer Focus
Hall of Fame and Manager Focus
Club Focus – Just before I upload screen shots from a save I'll post a message asking for 3 Clubs from any of the nations loaded, The first 3 responses will be chosen (only 1 team from 1 member)

Here we go then, shortly I'll be uploading Screen-shots from the 2013 season, Hall of Fame, Young Player and Best Player Watch.

Save Games will be available to download though not straight away, the 2050 save game will be uploaded once I get to 2250, this is to stop anyone getting ahead of me and posting screen-shots of future seasons before I get the chance.

i really cant wait, want that savegame:(

A scout from AC Milan sent to scout another player spotted him on training field and was impressed enough to phone the AC Milan manager and recommend they sign him there and then before Albinoleffe could give him a full contract. The Scout approached the youngster outside the grounds and whisked him off to the San Siro where they signed him after a brief trial and medical.

He made 3 appearances for the first team in his first season and for the next 3 seasons became a regular.

Airdrieonians were formed in 2002 as Airdrie United, following the bankruptcy of the original Airdrieonians.

Accountant and Airdrieonians fan Jim Ballantyne attempted, with the help of others, to gain entry with a club called "Airdrie United" who were essentially to be a reincarnation of Airdrieonians. Their application however was rejected as the then English Northern Premier League side Gretna were preferred by league members over the new Airdrie United.

Airdrie United then went on to complete a buy-out of the ailing Second Division side Clydebank and were relocated to Airdrie, and the name was changed to Airdrie United. While this means that the club is therefore officially a continuation of Clydebank it is almost universally accepted as a reincarnation of Airdrieonians.[1]

From 2012-2048 Airdie for the most part kept their heads above water to stay in the First division with the exception of 3 times being relegated but successfully promoted back up the following season.

2047/48 season saw them successfully gain promotion to the Scottish Premiership where for 52 seasons have seen them win it twice (2065 and 2070) , runners up 13 times (consecutively from 2060-2064 and 2071-2073) and 3rd place 3 times.

Other Trophies Airdie have won since 2012 include 9 Scottish Cups, 6 Scottish League Cups and 2 Scottish Challenge League Cups.

Unfortunately Airdrie now find themselves back in the First division being relegated in the 2099/2100 season but many predict if they can keep hold of the players they have a return to the premiership is not far off.

For the majority of the time since 2012 The Owls have found themselves playing in the NPower Championship. Unpredictable is the key word for this team with the knack of finding themselves fighting for promotion one season and fighting a relegation battle the next. it could be said that stability is the issue as the longest the club ahs stuck with a manager is 5 years but many only last 1 season.

The longest stint the club has had in the Premiership since 1999/00 season is 6 years 2087-2093 and the longest stint below the Npower Championship is 17 years 2045-2062.

The Only honours to date since 2012 are Npower Championship winners in 2081, Npower League One winners in 2062 and Npower League Two winners in 2060.

However one thing The Owls supporters can look forward to is the return to the Premiership after winning the Npower Championship play-offs in a penalty shoot-out in the 2099/00 season.

For 64 years the England senior team won nothing and then went and won the World Cup in 2030 and defended the title in 2034 and 2038, 40 years later they won it for the 5th time and again successfully defended the title in 2082 beating Portugal 6-2.

England are the only team in World Cup history to win 3 consecutive titles, only two other teams Italy and France have managed to win 2 consecutive titles.

In 2084 England won the European championships for the first time in their history.

Three Players stand out in England's finest period, Sam McDaid, Earl Bowlker and with his phenomenal record of 145 goals in 144 appearances Oz Machluf.

If England can continue to reproduce players of this magnitude then future success is guaranteed.

Rob Rawson started his management career at Dundee FC in 2084, despite getting relegated from the Premiership the club stuck with him and were rewarded the following season by winning the Challenge League Cup and finishing champions of the First Division.

Celtic in late November 2086 were looking for a new manager after Gearóid Heffernan left to join Stoke City and impressed enough by Rawson's achievements the previous season approached him to be their new man.

Winning the Premier League and getting to the Quarter Finals in the Scottish League Cup and Semi Finals in the Europa League in his first season at Celtic however alerted other clubs of his managerial ability and in early November 2087 Plymouth who for the past 3 seasons were struggling to remain in the Premiership approached him.

Rob looking at getting a foothold in the English Premiership snapped up the offer, finishing 11th in the Premiership and getting to the Quarter Finals of the Capitol One Cup and Fifth round of the FA Cup in the 2087/88 season saw him yet again attract attention of a top team.

After Andy Keeling left Arsenal high and dry mid pre-season 2088 to join Inter Milan, Arsenal were looking for a manager that could take on the job of managing a team built by another manager without having to spend any money (Keeling had already spent 108M on players during pre-season).

Finishing 2nd in the Premiership and once again getting to the Quarter Finals in the Capitol One Cup in his first season gave The Gooners hope. In the 2089/90 season again they finished second but they ended the season getting to the Final of the FA Cup (they lost) and winning the European Champions League by beating Barcelona 2-0.

A poor start though to the 2090/91 season cost Rawson his job and in November 2090 Arsenal sacked him.

In June 2091 Morgyn McStay retired from management at Manchester United and Rob was seen as the man to replace him by the board, though the Fans weren't too happy at having a ex manager of a rival team at the helm.

Rob soon changed the fans minds though by winning the Community Shield, Club World Cup, Capitol One Cup and Premiership in his first season.

So far to date Rob has won 6 Premiership Titles, 3 FA Cups, 1 Capitol One Cup, 4 Community Shields, 2 European Champions Leagues, 2 Club World Champions Cups and 1 European Super cup.

In july 2099 Rob signed a 5 year contract extension.

Stuart started his management career as the U19 manager of Scotland in 2061, in 2063 he was appointed Aston Villa manager and after gaining promotion to the Npower League One he left to join Ipswich town
where he took the team to the Premiership in the 2064/65 season.

Leaving Ipswich to join Sunderland in 2066 saw him get the team to the Capitol One Cup Final in 2068 losing to Manchester City 2-1.

With the Sunderland board thinking they were more than a mid table team they dispensed with his service in November 2069 and exactly a year after was appointed Airdries new manager winning the Scottish cup and finishing 2nd in the Premiership in his first and only season there.

After Leaving Airdrie Stuart had several short spells at Blackburn, Rangers and Fulham before joining Man Utd where he won the FA Cup and Community Shield in 2075 and Capitol Cup in 2076 however this wasn't good enough for a club of Utd's stature and they sacked him in November 2076 where he went on to rejoin Sunderland for a short spell.

In 2077 he joined Nottingham Forest and this is where his managerial career really took off, winning the Premiership in 2078, runners up in the Fa Cup and Community Shield winners. In 2081 they lifted the Capitol One Cup, Europa League and European Super Cup under his guidance.

In December 2081 he joined Tottenham and in the 3 seasons he was in charge won 3 Premiership Titles and 2 Community Shields.

In July 2084 Valencia believing they had a team capable of challenging Barcelona and Real Madrid for the la Liga title enticed him to Spain and despite them winning the Spanish Cup and Spanish Super cup in 2085, in the 3 seasons he spent there
the best league position in they achieved was 4th.

In May 2087 he left to join Bayern Munich, between 2087 and 2091 he won 4 German First divisions, 4 German Cups, 1 Europa League and a European Super Cup.

In July 2091 Stuart joined AC Milan in italy (his 5th country to manage in) and went on to win 3 Serie A titles, 2 Italian Cups, 2 Italian super Cups, 2 European Champions Leagues and 2 European Super Cups.

He retired aged 65 and could be considered one of the most successful journeyman of his time.

Later today I'll be finishing off the 2100 save-game screenshots and will be starting on the 100 years on special.

The 100 years on special will be a little different than the previous save-game data, its going to be more stats based and its only going to focus on the top leagues and competitions with also a look at how club reputations and finances change through the periods covered already.

Now as promised is a chance to get your hands on the 2050 save-game, there will be 5 chances to win it throughout the special so if you don't get the first one you've still got a chance later on.

The first question is..

As of the 2112/13 season which team has won the top flight in England the most times and how many.

a little hint look back at previous screen-shots and then guess and add on how many you think they may of won in the 12 years since the last save-game.

Correct team and nearest amount wins - if anyone gets it spot on I'll upgrade the prize to the 2075 save-game.
Only one guess per member and any editing of a post will forfeit your entry.

Good luck.
