Chamionship – Matchday 30

Hull 0-3 Palace

Luigi+Del+Neri+Gd8zofEIbWam.jpg

Verkhovtsov (30, 39), Dembele

An impressive win away to recently relegated Hull. Fabricio however sprained his ankle, seeing him sidlined for 5-7 weeks, just after a great start to his Eagles career. Juventus Boss Luigi Del Neri was spotted at the game as another manager of a top side watches the progress of Verratti from the stands.

Chamionship – Matchday 31

Palace 2-0 Watford

andros_townsend.jpg

O’Shea (3), Dembele (90+3)

Great stuff considering the last time these two met Watford trashed Palace 4-0. Andros Townsend was shown a second yellow for a dive and was given his marching orders, inexperience or just general stupidity you decide. Ambrose twisted his ankle and will be out for 4 weeks.

Chamionship – Matchday 32

Leeds 2-0 Palace

DavideSomma_2492827.jpg

Somma (pen 8), Watt (87)

A very Spanish Leeds team made their home fans happy with a 2-0 victory over Palace who drop to 2nd in the Championship. Kevin on loan from Arsenal pulled all the strings with a selection of delightful passes. Palace’s 7 game unbeaten run comes to an end.

Chamionship – Matchday 33

Palace 1-0 Bristol City

article-1302018-0AB86415000005DC-971_468x286.jpg

Dembele (9)

Back to the top of the pile after this win, could have scored 5 or 6 more but former England no.1 was having a stormer Bristol now 17th announce soon after the game the sacking of Keith Millen as their manager due to the poor position in the league for the expected promotion chasers. Verratti came off with a pulled hamstring during the game and will be out for around 4 weeks.

FA Cup 5th Rnd

Palace 2-1 Birmingham

1472859466-27042010120457.jpg

Dembele (29, 87) – Martins (79)

Through the quarter final after another surprise win against Premiership opposition. It could have been more embarrassing for the blues with Palace creating 9 clear-cut opportunities to score, if it wasn’t for Foster pulling off more than 5 or 6 world class saves and poor Palace finishing. Palace in the end left it very late scoring in the 87th minute saving what could have been a complete waste of chances. Liverpool will be their next challengers.

Chamionship – Matchday 34

Preston 1-4 Palace

1979417-vlarge.jpg

Brown (71) – Luccin (2), Gardner (7), Tshabalala (67), Verkhovtsov (pen 88)

A win but not a good performance, a lot of the side that played in the cup game were rested, This resulted in poor passing accuracy. Peter Luccin scored his first for his side with a powerful header which came off the post before crossing the line. Palace go 2 points clear at the top.

Chamionship – Matchday 35

Palace 4-1 Reading

0,,10323~9455767,00.jpg

Verkhovtsov (22), Gardner (42, 90+1), Zaha (79) – McAnuff (56)

A win and a solid performance to match with the Eagles really hitting form. Zaha coming off the bench to score as he looks to break into the starting eleven his 14th league goal of the season. After the game Verkhovtsov was named player of the month with Gardner finishing 3rd and Casey received manager of the month for the 3rd time this season.

Championship – Matchday 36

Cardiff 2-3 Palace

3b603ebf6e2dad9a941f74e60338fc97.jpg

Burke (54), Chopra (66) – Gardner (35), Renteria (72), Verkhovtsov (90)

Great game for the neutrals full of action and very exciting. The game ended in great fashion, as the game looked to be heading for a draw and both sets of fans were accepting that the point will be shared an something of beauty happened, up stepped Verkhovtsov 25 yards out smashing the ball into the corner of the net nearly busting it in the progress.

Championship – Matchday 37

Palace 2-3 Ipswich

Newcastle-v-West-Ham-Leon-Best-Goal-Celeb_2547843.jpg

Gardner (5, 52) – Scotland (14), O’Connor (30), Best (37)

An uncharacteristic defeat at home for the Eagles today, as the fans watch is disbelief on how their side didn’t at least get a point. Palace had 28 shots compared to Ipswich’s 10, but no matter how hard they pressed they just couldn’t find the equalizer.

FA Cup 6th Rnd

Liverpool 2-1 Palace

palace-fan-006.jpg

N’Gog (24), Gerrard (90) – Renteria (63)

Liverpool showed an air of cockiness when the line ups where announced, only Johnson, Lucas and Gerrard of the 1st team started as the Merseysiders gave they young guns a run out. N’Gog scored a peach of a goal running from the halfway line till eventually slotting it past Speroni. Substitute Renteria came on and equalized soon after, scoring his 20th of the season. With 66 minutes gone Gardner went down injured with a fractured cheekbone that will see him miss 4 weeks, all three subs had been made in the dash to equalize, it was either James at the back on three at the back, Casey risked it and went for the latter. The risk was paying off with Palace even hitting the crossbar twice and also having a penalty shout turned down. 90th minute Mr.Liverpool, Stevie Gerrard does what he does best by scoring a header to seal a place in the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

Championship – Matchday 38

Leicester 1-1 Palace

Richie-Wellens_2364873.jpg

Wellens (62) – Renteria (15)

Renteria got his 15th league goal of the campaign as yet again Palace slip up this month, fatigue seems to be showing with the squad looking tired. Goncalves will be missing for 2 weeks with a damaged elbow, also Palace lucky to draw as Renteria’s goal, offside maybe?

Championship – Matchday 39

Palace 2-1 Milwall

0,,10323~9420981,00.jpg

Askou O.G. (8), McCarthy (68) – Schofield (44)

Nine changes to the 1st team for the home derby versus Milwall, Pereiko making his debut between the sticks. Forest played earlier in the day and lost so Palace knew a win today would put them top by 1 point. Up step club captain Paddy McCarthy to score against your rivals and to put you top of the league.

Championship – Matchday 40

Barnsley 3-3 Palace

Jamil%20Adam_633573453143750000.jpg

O’Connor (47), O’Brien (60), Adam (90+3) – Zaha (38), Dembele (62, 87)

Super sub Dembele came on to nearly win the game, grabbing a brace in his short stint on the field as he starts to blend to the English game, his 2nd was Palace’s 100th league goal of the season. Casey’s men conceded with the last kick of the game but will still count themselves lucky as their 3 goals were the only shots on target.

Championship – Matchday 41

Palace 3-1 Sheff Utd

Sheffield+Wednesday+v+Crystal+Palace+meWtYIpjxzCm.jpg

Renteria (8), Soukouna (44), Spence (78) – Evans (15)

Micky Adams comments of “Palace will stumble, they look tired and well fall at the final huddle” only seemed to motivate the Eagles. Renteria will be suspended for 3 games after picking up his 10th yellow card of the season.

Championship – Matchday 42

Scunthorpe 0-5 Palace

0,,12562~3634863,00.jpg

Dembele (20, 90+1), Spence (24, 36), Zaha (45)

Palace now look stronger than ever, they controlled the game like champions and surely with this form will be testing themselves against the big boys in the Premiership next season. The next for games will be vital in regards promotion and the title race.

Championship – Matchday 43

Palace 4-2 Swansea

Crystal+Palace+v+Swansea+City+1-x2tJdNoswm.jpg

Spence (24), Tshabalala (51), Dembele (68, pen 75) – Dyer (18), Cuthbert (45)

Today’s win against Swansea means that in the Eagles next game away to Portsmouth a point will be enough to secure automatic promotion. Dembele again looking sharp finishing again with 2 goals to his name as he quickly is becoming a fans favourite.

Championship – Matchday 44

Portsmouth 1-1 Palace

GYI0061657111_crop_450x500.jpg

Dickinson (17) – Cadogan (2)

Casey won’t be happy with a draw but with promotion ensured surely he will crack a bottle of champagne on the coach home. Travelling Palace fans will be singing tonight. Nice also to see a Palace grown player to get the vital goal to send them up. The board later said Casey has done wonders since arriving.

Championship – Matchday 45

Palace 5-0 Doncaster

Crystal+Palace+v+Doncaster+Rovers+KSyHH0JOeJOm.jpg

Dembele (23, 39, 80), Renteria (29), Ambrose (83)

Last game at home this season and they gave their fans a present for their support this season. 5-0 has put Palace in the driving seat as they stand 3 points clear at the top above Forest with a much higher goal difference. Dembele scores his 1st hat trick for the club, the league title is on its way.

Championship – Matchday 46

Derby 2-3 Palace

665095984-02052010121256.jpg

Davies (23, pen 79) – Renteria (24), Dembele (31, 83)

Only needed a draw but a win was the icing on the cake, Dembele snatching a late winner. Palace have done it roll on next season…….

Palace win npower Championship

Simon Casey since coming in as the new Crystal Palace boss has turned his side around, this time last year palace avoided relegation to league one on the last day on the season but this season the last game of the season gave them the tittle as the go on to face the top side next season in the Premiership. Many have called it a miracle with the media stating at the start of the season and expected finish on 22nd in the table and limited resources nobody could of predicted this not even Casey himself who said he be happy with a top half finish and including that achieving that wouldn’t be easy. Forest grabbed the second automatic promotion spot while Burnley gained promotion through the playoffs beating QPR 2-0 in the final.

Palace have a lot of players to thank, the defence battled hard with the help of Speroni in nets, Verkhovtsov got over 20 goals in 50 games this season as he showed to be a menace in the air, from the spot and a few long range piledrivers to help his sides cause. Verratti and Tshabalala pulled the strings in midfield with the two providing a combined total of 48 assits. Upfront Renteria who scored 24 goals in 36(3) games, Dembele with 17 in 16(8) and the surprise figure of Zaha with 17 in 27(13) along with 10 assists.

WilfriedZaha_2536463.jpg

In other news this season dropping down to the Championship will be the relegated Blackburn, Wigan and Blackpool. Chelsea retained their Premiership title with no doubt tanks to new signings Torres, Ganso and David Luiz. It was a close title race with United 2nd, Arsenal 3rd and a trailing Liverpool grabbing the last Champions League spot, Liverpool also won the FA Cup beating United on penalties. Sunderland won the League Cup and will have Europa League football to look forward to next season along with Birmingham who finished 5th and Man City in who finished in 6th place. Aresnal lost 3-1 to Bayern in the Champions League final and At.Madrid beat Shakhtar to win the Europa League.

Breaking News

SuperStock_1848-189518.jpg

Just days after South African winger Siphiwe Tshabalala signed a new contract for the Eagles his career at the club has been dealt a major blow. Tshabalala playing for South Africa against Egypt, a collision with defender Ahmed Fathi left the winger on the ground, the worse feared was the outcome, Tshabalala will now face up to 5 months out with a broken leg. Tshabalala had been in the form of his career playing 41 games this season scoring 10 and setting up 22, this will be a huge disappointment to the start of Palace's Premiership campaign.

This is a class story mate too bad about Tshabalala though he sounded like 1 of ur star players

Any idea on transfers for next season?

Crystal Palace announce Objectives and Budget

england_crystal-palace.png

The board at Crystal Palace have stated on the club website the aims of the coming season will be to avoid relegation at all costs. Eagles boss Simon Casey has been given a budget of £19.75million and a wage budget of £205k p/w to bring in any players need to brought in to help the fight for survival. Casey have been linked with a number of players including the likes of Tom Cleverley and Milan Vilotic. Who do you think Palace should sign for the new season? Have you say now...

well done mate shud do well, try and get someone like josh mceachran on loan

Cleverley is class in my Utd save so if u need a winger i wud get him can make them and score them is challenging Nani and Valencia 4 their spots at the moment am thinking of selling Park cause hes never gonna get playing time anymore

If u do get him u have to play him as an advanced winger though and he works best with support duty

Look at free transfers, Michale Owen will be free and he will join

ya Owen will need a huge sallary though hes currently geting like 50000 a week or something like that Cleverly is getting a lot less if I remember correctly will have to check though

Ive looked into Owen just waiting for him to be released so his wage demands drop.. Cleverly seemed interested but not anymore... ive been looking at some lesser known names hopefully they will sign and be a success... alot of bigger clubs have been poaching my potential signings though

Thanks for the support and suggestions appreciate them all
keep them coming
