Crystal Palace have made their first signing of pre-season bringing a new midfielder by the name of Haris Medunjanin. Medunjanin has joined Maccabi Tel-Aviv for a fee of £1.4million, the Bosnian who has 3 caps for his country is reported to have signed a 4 year deal at around £15,000 per week. Haris 6'2 has played for other clubs such as Valladolid, AZ and Sparta playing 121 times and scoring 21 goals. Last season for Maccabi Tel-Aviv he played 33 games scoring 4 goals and providing 11 assists, he was regarded as the key man of their side.Madunjanin is known for his great technique, flair, creativity, superb passing and deadly set pieces.
Another name being linked to the club is Michael Owen, Owen just released by Man United is said to have both Palace and Mallorca chasing him. It is rumoured Palace are the favourites and are currently in contract talks with the former European footballer of the year with reports speculating a deal of £20,000 per week along with a few bonuses. Mallorca are yet to make a move, it will be interesting if Owen will remain in his homeland and return to Spain where he spent a season with Real Madrid. The Eagles still linked to many others also as they look to strengthen the squad and it seems Casey feels like he is on an episode of "Bargain Hunt".

Try and get N'Zogbia from Wigan, and Adam from Blackpool as they both have been Relagated and they will want to play Premier League football Paul Robisnon for a GK from Blackburn maybe?
This is a great story m8 will defo be following, keep this up and it has the potential to be one of the best
Casey has brought in two more new players in the last few days and eight have been shown the door, most of the eight have been release and are the following players:
Claude Davis
Alex Marrow
Kieran Djilali
David Wright
Stephane Noro
The other three sold were Febian Brandy to Preston for £425k, Nastja Ceh to Pescara for £16k and Sergey Pareiko to Liverpool for £775k. Pareiko mainly left due to the signing of young English keeper Alex Smithies from Hudderfield for £950k. Another new face is Guillermo Burdisso from Rosario Central for a bargain of £800k, the younger brother of Nicolas spent last season with his brother on loan at Roma and has 1 cap and 1 goal for Argentina, a great signing for the Eagles after losing their loanees from last season Gardner and Spence. Casey is said to be highly disappointed after Korey Smith joined Leeds instead of a move to Selhurst Park, Casey is a keen admirer of Smith and hope he can work with him in the future. In a press conference Casey was extremely open with who he has his eye and who they have made bids for, here are the names of those mentioned.
Joe Mattock -- West Brom
Michael Owen -- Free
Adam Hlousek -- Slavia Prague
Takayuki Morimoto -- Catania
Cheikou Kouyate -- Anderlecht
Diego Buonanotte -- Malaga
Emerson -- Lille
Leo Lima -- Al-Nassr
Segundo Castillo -- Deportivo Quito
Ismael Bangoura -- Al-Nassr
Daniel Kofi Agyei -- Fiorentina
Casey also admitted he had failed to sign Gaby Mudingayi, Nathan Delfouneso, Anele and Jelle Vossen.

Pre-Season and New Signings
Today we will be looking at some more new signings, exits, pre-season results and who will be missing tomorrows opening game of the season against Man United at Selhurst Park
Pre-season went well for the Eagles with 4 wins out of 4. Palace faced CP Baltimore, Hearts, Man Utd Reserves and Bromley. They controlled each game with ease showing a real desire to get ready to prove the pundits wrong who are expecting Palace to finish bottom come the end of the season. Now lets talk transfers, one more player left since last time, club captain Paddy McCarthy to Watford for £950k. Paddy and Casey never got on and it was a matter of one or the other in the end. Before we introduce the new signings the new Captain will be Verkhovtsov the ever present leader from last season and also injuries, Tshabalala has between 5-8weeks still of recovery and Dembele will also miss the United game with 3 weeks left of recovery due to a pulled hamstring. anyways lets meet the new Eagles.....
Adam Hlousek - Slavia Prague - £3.3million
22 year old winger has been brought in to ease the absence of Tshabalala and create more competition for the left flank spot. Adam has a wicked left foot and loves to strike with power, wont be long until the big sides of Europe start watching this name, Robben in the making.
Michael Owen - Free Agent
Do i really need to introduce him? we all know him but at 31 years old and having a hard time avoiding injury, is he past it? or could this be the move he needed to regenerate his career. Michael is desperate to get to 100 caps for England and is currently on 91 caps, hopefully this step down will help him make a comeback before its too late.
Diego Buonanotte - At. Malagueno - £2.3million
At 5'3" this little trickster won't be scoring many headers, Diego has lightening quick feet and an unpredictability you normally cant get for as cheap as £2.3million. Massive bargain will provide goals and score a few himself, loves to score goals that make leave you in awe.
Daniel Kofi Agyei - Fiorentina - Ln Fee £400k
Some have labeled the next Essien and some have labeled him the next Pirlo guess he will chose when he declares if he wants to represent Italy or country of birth Ghana. At 19 he already has the tackling, Passing, Technique but more importantly the mentally to be a great. A big favourite of Casey, loan has an agreed buy price of £7.5million
Danny Simpson - Newcastle - £1.3million
When Danny was offer the Palace for that price they couldn't say no. The 24 year old right back will be challenging Clyne for the right back's place, Clyne will need to keep on his toes to keep his place as Simpson has talent.
Kyle Bartley - Free Agent
Casey was surprised to see the 6'3" former Gunner released. Maybe wont get much game time this season but he is a steal and one for the future. Kyle has 3 under 21 caps for England and spent last season at Rangers on loan.
Tom Adeyemi - Norwich - £350k
After failing to sign Korey Smith Casey still wanted a young center mid, where better to look then Smiths midfield partner at Norwich. Tom 6'1" is a good all rounder and will hopefully be a the club for many years.
Palace are also widely expected to be signing Joe Mattock and Liam Palmer in the next few days. A loan bid has been reported to be made for Jeremain Lens but its rumoured that his agent has said he is unlikely to be interested.
All the well known youngsters like sanogo, lukaku, kadlec have all been sinced by big clubs already

August 2011
Premiership – Matchday 1
Palace 1-1 Man Utd
Owen (63) – Giggs (9)
Palace kicked off their Premiership season with a big point against Man United. The Eagles played extremely well, keeping possession and create chances didn’t seem a problem, perhaps unlucky not to win. Of course it would be Owen to score on his debut against the side who had just released him not long ago.
Premiership – Matchday 2
Arsenal 2-0 Palace
Chamakh (33), Turan (38)
Palace have really been thrown in at the deep end with their opening fixtures and today were completely outplayed. Palace couldn’t even manager to get 1 shot on target during the whole game. Palace spend most of the second half down to ten after Renteria was booked on the 46th minute and two minutes later shown a second yellow. Renteria has been really poor this season so far, Casey is said to be looking for a new striker and Renteria could be on his way out.
Loan Stars
Palace has strengthened even more with two loans as well as signing two more youngsters. Joining the ranks will be Nathan Delfouneso for the season for a fee of £300k and joining from Man Untied is left back Fabio for the season for £210k, Fabio was chosen instead of Joe Mattock who was expected to sign for £3.3m but Palace cancelled the deal.
Now to the new young Eagles, Liam Palmer was signed from Sheff Wednesday for £110k, the Scottish under 21 international is a very promising midfielder and at 19 can only get better. Casey also signed Juraj (regen) a Slovakian winger from Zilina for £525K.
League Cup 2nd Rnd
Palace 6-3 Bristol City
James O.G. (14), Delfouneso (32, 54), Hlousek (63), Verkhovtsov (78, 90+2) – Chipperfield (19), Stewart (83), Haynes (90)
Three debuts made today for Fabio, Palmer and Delfouneso, Nathan impressed scoring twice one of which was a superb individual run beat four players and slotting home in the corner. Casey experimented a bit and hopefully the new signings shown today will shine this season.
Premiership – Matchday 3
Palace 0-2 West Brom
Morrison (10), Dorrans (25)
How did West Brom win? This will be a question on many fans minds tonight. Palace ran the game but two clinical break aways from the Baggies stole the points. Carson was not letting anything past him making 9 saves in total including a penalty save from Adam Hlousek, Scott was a deserved man of the match. Palace stand 17th in the table.
Deadline Day Magic
Crystal Palace have splashed out all their remaining cash today on deadline day, firstly bringing in Nigel Reo-Coker on a free. The ex Villan has a lot of Premier League experience and Casey felt this is exactly what is needed at the club. Although it has been reported that the wage budget with all the recent arrivals has been smashed and with Casey struggling to sell players Fans will be crossing their fingers that it’s not a repeat of the 2009/2010 season.
And finally the Eagles have broken their old recording signing by deciding to sign Nathan Delfouneso on a permanent basis for £6million. Casey’s logic behind this was that with no fixed fee in the loan for purchase acting now while we have the money rather than risking an inflated price tag and more competition would be stupid. Palace better hope these are wise moves as survival is needed.

September 2011
Premiership – Matchday 4
Sunderland 3-0 Palace
Kozak (4, 19), Gyan (24)
Sunderland were lucky to win by 3 goals in a very close encounter. The Black Cats were help due to one Palace player having a stinker, the last player you want on your side to have a poor game, thatss right the keeper Speroni. Owen received a gashed leg and will miss 8-10 days also Reo-Coker made a solid debut.
Premiership – Matchday 5
Palace 0-3 Everton
Yakubu (8), Cahill (34), Rodwell (38)
Everton opened the scoring in controversial style as an outrageous decision to not award the Eagles a free kick after a foul on Dembele during the build-up of Yakubu’s goal. In the second half Palace improved dramatically even scoring but Delfouneso goal was chalked off for an alleged foul, replayed showed this was not the case with Lee Probert making another mistake. Palace are worryingly starting to get results that are making them look like this season’s whipping boys.
League Cup 3rd Rnd
Coventry 0-2 Palace
Juraj (24), Dembele (44)
A much needed win for Palace to help boost confidence for the boys. Ok it was in the League Cup and against a weaker side but still the moral boost will surely help as Palace look for their first win in the league this season. Juraj with his first goal for the club, the youngster looks promising.
Premiership – Matchday 6
Chelsea 1-2 Palace
Lukaku (19) – Owen (22), Hlousek (90+1)
The last game you’d expect Palace to be getting their first win of the season away to Chelsea, after Lukaku early goal even more so but Palace battled hard and deserved their win. The Eagles even hit the post twice during the game as the put Chelsea under great pressure in the second half. Owen again scoring in a big game but it was Adam Hlousek who was the star today smashing a thunderbolt past the helpless Chelsea keeper after a delightful pass from Verratti to put him though in stoppage time. Hlousek was a threat all game and has been impressive in every game this season spearheading every attack, Tshabalala just returning has big competition. Palace 17th but if they had lost they would be bottom.
Verkhovtsov (13), Owen (34), Juraj (pen 58, 90), Dembele (82)
Casey’s side changed to a 4-1-3-2 after the success of the formation against Chelsea. Delfouneso got in great positions but again has lacked the finishing, if only Palace could combine his pace with Owen’s finishing. As expected it was a physical game but Palace dealt with it well. Juraj got his 1st ever senior goal from the spot quickly followed by his second, the Slovakian is showing great potential.
Premiership – Matchday 8
Botlon 0-1 Palace
Medunjanin (85)
Coyle was sympathetic to Casey before the game but I’m sure he won’t be after. Medunjanin scored his 1st goal for the Eagles heading home a Juraj free kick from point blank range. Juraj has been on fire so far in 1st 7 games for the club scoring 3 times and providing 5 assits. 3 wins in a row see Palace climb to 10th.
Palace did well to come back from 2-0 down to 2-2 but in the end Shearer’s men were too much. Spurs played some great football and their clinical finishing won the game. Verkhovtsov hit the crossbar on the 86th minute, Casey’s men pushed and pushed and perhaps deserved a point but this wasn’t the case in the end.
League Cup 4th Rnd
Palace 1-0 Nottm Forest
Kofi Agyei (41)
Forest go marching on in the cup with a tidy win against Forest. Verratti missed a penalty as he still goes looking for his 1st goal for the club. Kofi Agyei got his 1st goal for Palace as him looks a decent player already. Wasn’t all good news with Owen twisting his ankle and will miss 3-4 weeks, he will be missed as the Eagles top scorer has 4 goals in 8 games in the league.
Premiership – Matchday 10
Palace 1-0 Aston Villa
Juraj (37)
With fatigue taking its toll chances were made giving chances to Tshabalala, Buonanotte and Goncalves.Juraj scored a beautiful chip to win the game. Renteria had enough chance to score a hat trick but yet again the striker was wasteful this season. Tshabalala came off injured with a sprained ankle which will lead him on the sideline for 5 weeks.
November 2011
Premiership – Matchday 11
Man City 2-0 Palace
Tevez (8), Silva (26)
An even enough game but with the talent City have they only needed one or two chances. Palace never really threaten against the best defence in the league. With all the said Palace played well and can be proud of their performance.
Premiership – Matchday 12
Wolves 3-1 Palace
Doyle (9, 42), Wilhelmsson (59) – Medunjanin (83)
Palace found it difficult today as they were completely outclassed by Wolves. Doyle destroyed the Eagles defence as they failed to deal with him all game. Casey won’t be happy that is for sure.
Premiership – Matchday 13
Palace 4-0 Newcastle
Medunjanin (5, pen 74), Juraj (34), Delfouneso (49)
Just the result Palace needed after two straight defeats. Palace ran riot as Newcastle crumbled. Delfouneso scored his 1st goal since signing on a permanent basis, ending his goal drought. Medunjanin opened the scoring with a 30 yard free kick, quite the curler, keeper no chance. Palace now in 11th
Premiership – Matchday 14
Liverpool 2-0 Palace
Suarez (8), Dann (34)
Crazy red card for Verkhovtsov, he was never the last man, home crowd may have influenced the decision. Palace fought had in the second half but to no avail, Palace still remain 11th. The Eagles appealed the red card but no action was taken as it still stands.
League Cup Qtr Final
Everton 1-2 Palace (AET)
Distin (13) – Delfouneso (45+1), Burdisso (113)
A great game, Delfouneso’s goal was vital, scoring just before the break seemed to change the game. Second half Palace came out flying applying high pressure on the Everton defence but Howard came the Toffees in the game. Burdisso scored from a corner in extra time to send Palace into the semi were they will face Burnley, Palace now have a great chance to go on and win the cup. In the other semi-final it will be Liverpool facing Fulham.
Another big win for the Eagles as they look to be hitting form. Verratti finally got his 1st goal for the club today capping a great performance from the Italian. Medunjanin ran the show, scoring and providing assists he really looks to be settling in well, he also received a statement after the game from Juve boss Del Neri who admitted he is a big admirer of the Midfielder. Dembele scored a great solo goal as Palace sit 10th.
Premiership – Matchday 16
Palace 2-0 Nottm Forest
Dembele (15), Burdisso (63)
It is well documented that Davies and Casey don’t get on a war of words before the game seemed to have a big impact on proceedings. Davies said he tipped Palace for the drop, Casey responded by saying, “he must be clinically insane, his side are 17th in the league he shouldn’t be making comments like that and concentrating on his side avoiding it, if he was sitting in 10th like us I’d understand, I’d be worried to have him as your manager, his priorities aren’t right.” These comments seem to affect Forrest who played with no confidence. Owen picked up another injury this time a twisted knee sees him out of action for 3 weeks.
Premiership – Matchday 17
West Ham 1-0 Palace
Riki (81)
The Hammers were very lucky to win today, Palace were caught on the counter and paid the price, They should have scored a few themselves but again their finishing cost them the game. Fabio broke his wrist during the match and will be out for a month.
Premiership – Matchday 18
Burnley 2-1 Palace
Ayite (26), Carraro (47) – Delfouneso (55)
How many 1 on 1 has Delfouneso missed this season, too many to think of, the youngster is really struggling to find the back of the net regularly, yes he did score but he only has 2 league goals this season and really with the amount of chances he had be on double digits. Palace fell apart today, when Owen is out them really seem to lack confidence. Simpson out for 4 months with a torn calf muscle
Premiership – Matchday 19
Man Utd 2-0 Palace
Rooney (46, 83)
Rooney was too much to handle today for the Eagles defenders, grabbed himself 2 goals as he looks as sharp as ever. Palace couldn’t even get one shot on target and they slump to their 3rd defeat in a row.
Premiership – Matchday 20
Palace 0-2 Arsenal
Fabregas (33), Bendtner (87)
Better make that 4 defeats in a row as again Palace were outclassed by the Gunners with Wilshere and Fabregas tearing the Eagle’s defence to pieces. Delfouneso had to simple chances in the dying stages of the game but the out of form striker failed to even test the keeper. Palace sit 12th in the table. After 4 defeats pundits are starting to question Casey’s stubbornness to change from a 4-1-3-2. With the transfer window opening will Palace be looking to offload any players on bring in some new faces to help this poor form, who knows? Here is a look at the table at the half way point.
