Romsey Town Chairman Kai Mclean has appointed unknowb Allen Johnson as the clubs manager. It appears that the two of them already know each other and that they feel they will work well together. Both Chairman and Manager feel that the club can progress very far under each others guidance.
Both men were present at the local trials. After Romsey dismissed all of their previous players contracts, the club had to look for more talent with Mclean eager to look at mainly local talent, with the few exceptions.
All the above players were offered contracts with Romsey Town after impressing Kai Mclean and Allen Johnson. The club will now look to Pre-Season to show off their new young talent and it will also be working on way to make the players gel together.
Yeah. I can sort that for you. took ages to do everyone must have missed that. Just so you all know I had to bump us up a league too as the one we were in (Wessex) players dont have full time contracts and get snapped up by other clubs for free. Now everyone has a contract and a 50mil buyout clause to deter clubs bids for them
I would love training for the ppm places shots if possible, and individual role Poacher for now (although ideally I don't want to be played as a poacher)

Romsey Town who have been through a Renaissance this summer will be kicking off their Pre-Season shortly. Club Chairman Kai Mclean and new manager Allen Johnson are relishing testing their new youthful side against everybody and anybody. There is a real sense of confidence and commitment from everybody involved with the club.
With Romsey a club that has dwindled down in the lower leagues for years. Kai Mclean has stated over and over again that he fully believes the club can become extremely successful. The American mogul has ploughed in roughly over a million pounds of his own money into the club and this has allowed the club to improve it's first team and youth facilities and the youth setup itself.
With the club having been invigorated in every way the expectation form the fans is that the club emerge as one of the leagues strongest contenders and that the club can challenge for a Cup win this year. Allen Johnson has the unenviable task of managing the young squad and it will be interesting to see if he can get his young guns to perform.
Romsey decimated poor Malmesbury who were hand picked as Romsey's first opponent to gauge just how well the 'Town' youngsters could cope. They certainly impressed in this game. Sam Freebody scored a first half hattrick wowing the Romsey spectators. He will soon be a fan favourite if he can continue to 'bang' the goals in. Danny Welsh was also on target in the first half scoring from a tight angle. Michael Mccabe was tremendous at the back and really shone on a day where the defence had little to do.
Their were wholesale changes at half time with only newly appointed club captain James Williams staying on as Johnson swaped his team over. Towering Andy Samuels and Andreas Naterr both scored braces either side of a John Cruddas fifteen yard fizzer which almost took the keepers right hand off. There were two clean sheets as both Nathan Walker and Sam Smith kept Romsey's goal protected in each half.
Romsey Town fans got a glimpse of what may be in store for the season but rest assured there will be bigger opponents out there for Romsey to tackle.
Romsey looked good in their last outing although the competition was hardly fierce. However the club did score ten goals, The 'Town' face another lowly competitor today in the shape of Andover who are another team Romsey should comfortably beat. Kai Mclean who was present at the last game will again be in town to watch his side take on their nearby opponents. Allen Johnson will be looking to play some of his youngsters who missed out against Malmesburys,
Another thrashing by the hands of the 'Town' who never once looked like they would even concede let alone be beaten. Both Nathan Walker and Sam Smith kept clean sheets in each half and Johnson will have his work cutout trying to figure out which keeper will claim the number 1 shirt! Sam Freebody will surely be battling it out with Billy Bryant for the number 10 shirt as between them they scored an incredible seven goals today. Freebody claimed his secod hattrick in as many games and Bryant scored four on his first start for the club. It was Thomas Hornsletten though who scored the first. The stand in skipper was unstoppable as he made a run into the box and smashed his shot into the top left of Andover's goal.
Once again it was all change at half time as Johnson still tried to figure out what his strongest eleven is. Danny Welsh scored late in the second half to make it two goals in two for the left midfielder who is currently playing well too.
