Nuri Sahin has signed a 6 year contract with Real Madrid as Jose Mourinho begins to strengthen his squad for next summer.

Real Madrid seal deal for Sahin - FourFourTwo

**** it. Wanted him at United. Would have been the perfect replacement for Scholes, and only gone for £12M too.

Madrid have got excellent bargains in Ozil and Sahin.

Superb player, fits in very well. Khedira will be on bench now. Sahin Alonso will be holding the midfield.

Why didn't Dortmund sell him for more? Oh well, gotta trust Jürgen Klopps judgement. I hope Dortmund won't sell anymore, would be a **** shame.

Had a release clause in his contract that he can leave this summer only for £12M, and everyone found out about it.

£12m release clause on such a talented player seems strange. Sahin probably required that.

Never actually watched the lad, heard a lot about him though. I'm sure now he's at Madrid that I'll see him play quite a bit next season.

104 - Sahin has created the most goal scoring chances this season in the Bundesliga. Productive.

Impressive, Madrid certainly do need more quality - particularly creative - in their squad to knock Barcelona off their perch.

Mistake there too... 104 not 102.

I wonder where all the other talented players from Dortmund are going this summer...

HUUGEEE SIGNING.. My poor BVB -.-... Let's hope Madrid doesn't sink Sahin, I hope Mourinho takes him to the next level!

Mats Hummels is going nowhere. I doubt Götze will leave either. Kagawa and Subotic might go and I think Barrios will stay.

I find it hard to understand how exactly Sahin will fit in Mourinho's set up. He and Xabi Alonso are both creative deep-lying playmakers with Khedira playing the role of the holding midfielder/ball-winner, and Ozil in the advanced role. If he sacrifices Khedira, Madrid will become way too attacking, and it's hard to sacrifice Alonso given the fee paid for him and his talents.

What's gonna happen to Alonso? One of them is gonna have to sit on the bench, they're the exact same type of player.
