You done a lot better than i did,we're 20th after 38 games,but i'm **** at FMThe media wrote them off, the bookies tipped them to go down, the neutrals forgot about them, but Stockport have surprised them as they finished the season in the top half, with a position of 10th. If it wasn't for a slow start, Stockport could have easily squeezed into the play offs. Manager Sam Charnock has taken the plaudits as he dived into the loan-market many times. "The loan window is there to be taken advantage that and we did that well, some of our loan's have been awesome, Lauri, Shoddy and Perks have all been awesome alongside many more." But it remains to be seen whether Charnock will attempt to keep the players together. Charnock then added: "It's going to be hard to keep these lads together again but I will certaintly try, as we push for the play offs."

New Look Stockport?
Manager Sam Charnock has revealed he will need to sign at leat 8 players if his Stockport side need to push for the play-offs. On Stockport County's BBC 606 Forum, "TheOnlyGreyInTheVillage" has explained that the squad is in talks with 3 or 4 players currently, but it remains to be seen who these players will be, So far we only no that Everton striker Jose Baxter has joined on loan for the season.

Despite several attempts to seal the deal for Hughie McAuley to extend his stay at Stockport, no deal could be reached and he has left the club. Manager Sam Charnock asked his Backroom staff for advise on who to appoint and Stockport Manager looked no further than experienced England Coach, Steve Wigley!
Wigley was formerly a coach at Premierleague outfit Bolton Wanderers and decided to step down to Stockport but Wigley doesn't see it that way. "This is not a step down, this club are going places and I want to be part of it."
