Too Much Too Take

Another poor month for Stockport but there is a highlight, the last game of the month vs Mk Dons provided Stockport with a brilliant 4-1 win.
"We can't get complacent, last time we did that we got punished, we need to get on a run now, and the next game is against top of the table Crystal Palace and we need to come back down to earth"

Nice win against MK Dons but how did you get into that position oO)?
C'mon Sammy, you can do better than this!!

Deserved More

With playing teams such as Crystal Palace,Leeds and Charlton, any manager would have taken points against them. But it was the loss against Rochdale which dissapointed the Stockport manager. "Two mistakes in the first half cost us, and Rochdale took their chances."

Seems like the table is quite tight at the moment, seeing as your only 8 points behind 6th and your 18th, you could easily be in the play offs at the end of the season.

Good luck.

We Wont Stand In His Way

Chairman Jim Melrose has today told Stockport fans that if manager Sam Charnock decides to join Q.P.R he can with his best wishes.
Melrose said: Sam has done great work for this club and has every right to persure his dream of managing in the premiership and if he see's QPR as the right team to do so, he will go with my best wishes".

Will Charnock be tempted to join Rangers or will his love for Stockport tempt him to stay?

OFFICIAL STATEMENT

Stockport County can today announce the future of manager Sam Charnock.
Charnock was linked with Championship side QPR in the past few weeks.
Charnock told Stockport County to tell the supporters of his future this week.

"I am fully committed to Stockport and wouldn't leave for all the money and the biggest club in the world, I hope I can get this club to the Premiership."

ANY FOLLOWERS? ANY TIPS?

Stockport fall at last hurdle

Manager Sam Charnock urged his players to try and get an unbeaten month and everything was going to plan until Stockport met Southend and lost 3 -1.
Southend went 2 up until Lauri Dalla Valle scored and in the last minute Francis Laurent got the goal to kill off Stockport. "I can't blame the lads for that performance today, if anything it was my fault, there was no need for me to change the squad as much as I did."
Charnock has also heaped praise on Lloyd Sam. "Lloyd has had to play in an unfamiliar role, just behind the striker, he's been playing like an Aguero at Atletico Madrid but he's done it brillantly."
I've been enjoying the role, it has given me alot more space and Lauri's pace has given me that as he drags defenders away."

Things are on the up Sam! Keep it up lad!

May I ask what is UT3?

UT3 (Upper Tier 3) , is where I sit at County. the second highest stand at County which explains 'from the heights'

and cheers :)

Oh right. Thanks for clearing that up

Same again for Hatters

Stockport County went the whole month unbeaten until they stumbled across Blackpool.
Despite being 14th in the league and have only lost 2 in 2 months, Stockport are only 6 points off the play-offs, so maybe it's an unbeaten month that's needed.
"We have to keep going right through till the end of the month, we've improved immensely over the past couple of month, we're 6 points off the play-offs and we need to fight all the way to get in there."

Quality Story ... Im about to start up an Oxford Story which i hope everyone can enjoy...il post it once written up :) keep up the good work guys .

Getting Closer

The first month of the new year has looked good for Stockport, they are now just 8 point away from the targetted play-offs. In the managers view though, they could be much closer. "We lost to Norwich and Southampton and we could have won those games, and if we did, we would have been just 2 points away from the play-offs."
