Stockport Go Marching On

Just 3 months away, Stockport looked dead and buried, looked like they would be battling for relegation but after a stunning 2 month turn around, it has seen Stockport just 1 point away from those much wanted play-offs. Undoubtedly, the most memorable win will of come against promotion certainty's Crystal Palace, manager Sam Charnock said in the media he would hope to defend and get at least a point. But against all odds, Stockport came racing out of the traps, a stunning 6- 1 win gave every one a shocking surprise. But then a 2 - 0 win over Leeds gave Stockport so much confidence, not looking like losing, Stockport came up against Charlton, but they came out with a 0-0 draw and then shot back down to 10th.
Stockport have had a rollercoaster 2 months but know they look for stability in which will certainly be a entertaining end to the season.
Manager Sam Charnock has heaped praise on loanee striker Lauri Dalla Valle, the striker is Stockport's top scorer with a stunning 26 goals.
"Lauri has been absouloutely outstanding, his goals will be key to any success at this club."

Fair Play Sam, on current form the play offs should be a breeze :)

This is so similar to my start with Port Vale at the very beginning. My first two-three points were dog poo but then I picked it up and managed to get third somehow. I am sure you can do the same mate if you keep going. Keep it up :D

Amazing two months Sam :)

Keep it up and another Wembley trip for us is coming ;)

My dad did :)

Harry also suggested it ;)

Heartbreak

For Brighton and Millwall, the unexpected happened, nobody thought it and nobody believed it was possible, Stockport have won promotion to the Championship! It is a shocking turn around as just two years ago Stockport was in administration and now they are in the second tier of England.
When 2011 came, Stockport were low in 15th place and since then have just lost 2 games since then and key to there success are players such as Owain Fon Williams, Clint Hill and Lauri Dalla Valle.
Dalla Valle is currently on loan from Liverpool and will expire in January 2012.
Next season looks a tough one for Stockport, and after surprising all odds this season, what will offer next season.

You've had Dalle Valle on loan for a while XD

I wrote Heartbreak because I wanted people to think I didn't go up.

And I like Dalla Valle so every January I extend his loan for another 12 months XD

End Of Season Review
(Manager's View)

The lads have done brilliant this season and have surprised everyone by getting into the second tier of English Football, but they haven't surprised me, every week they've tried there hardest and that's paid off. On the training ground they've been superb, with results such as a thumping 6-1 win over Crystal Palace the lads have shown they have potential to play at this level. We all know at this club it's going to be hard but the Chairman has been brilliant, I've told him I will attempt to avoid relegation, which will hopefully not put too much pressure on the players, these expectations have given me 700K on new players and I intend to use that.
