San Marino looked like they would drop more points today. They took the lead early on but Aversa Normanna scored an unlikely goal just before half time. In the second half, San Marino peppered the opposition goal, but again couldn't find the net. It took a wonder goal from Bernacci to secure a vital 3 points

Cavese were in 17th position going into this game, and San Marino were favourites for the win, how ever, they played poorly today and were lucky to come away from the game with a point.
San Marino seem to be stuttering at this late part of the season, now equal on points with Reggina, leading only by a few goals

San Marino were slow to get started in this match, looking very average in the first half. But they managed to score in the second, substitute Norman Sylla netting home from close range. It was touch and go for the remainder of the game, but Gela didn't really test the San Marino defence, and Fedi netted the winner on 84 minutes, giving San Marino more important points. Reggina also won today, so both teams are still on the same points
The next 3 games may go down as the most important in San Marino's history, because if they manage to win all three, they will be crowned Serie C1/b champions, and will find them selves in Serie B, some where they have never played. But they will also be hoping Reggina drop a point or two in the upcoming games

San Marino really pushed their luck in this game. They looked slow and un interested. Luckily for them, Juve were not looking that good either, but they still had their chances. A really poor game but San Marino walked away with the 3 points, putting them two clear of Reggina, who only managed a draw, with two games of the season to go

With San Marino scraping a win in their last league game, and Reggina drawing, San Marino have a two point lead with two games to way. If San Marino can win their next game, they will surely go on to be champions, but you'd forgive the fans for worrying, as Regina now what it takes to gain promotion to the big leagues, where as San Marino do not

What a first half from San Marino. They tore their opponents to bits, scoring 2 in the first 6 minutes. Bova did pull one back for the visitors, but the amazing Bernacci netted two before half time, to give San Marino a 4-1 lead.
San Marino were more relaxed in the second half, and knowing that they had won the game, looked to conserve energy for their final league game.
San Marino awaited eagerly for the Reggina result, but they too had won, so it would go to the final game of the season. San Marino knew a point would win them the league
Today, Palermo beat Genoa in the Italian Cup final 2-1, clinching the cup. In the stands was Mr Drezzy, who is understood to be looking for cheap new additions to his ageing squad

San Marino were very cagey today, and held the ball up in the midfield, too scared to go forward, incase of a counter attack. After the first half, N'Kong had the ball in the back of the net, but the goal was ruled out for a phantom hand ball. And after all 3 substitutions were made, it seemed as if the no goal would have cost San Marino the league, because Fedi went off injured on 54 minutes. How ever, San Marino managed to hold on, clearing the ball of their own line. the game finished 0-0, which handed San Marino the title, and their first foray into Serie B. The Bumper crowd invaded the pitch, and celebrated with the players
After drawing their final league game, 0-0, San Marino were crowned Serie C1/B Champions, and they find them selves in Serie B next season. Mr Drezzy has worked wonders since his arrival almost 2 years ago, and many fans hope he stays in charge for alot longer.
Hellas Verona also secured promotion back into Serie B, winning Serie C1/A with ease. They will face San Marino in the Serie C Super Cup in just a few days time

San Marino pulled out all the tricks in the hat in this game, but found them selves on the wrong end of the 3-1 result. San Marino will wonder how they lost this game, and they have it all to do in the second leg if they want to win this trophy
In a leaked document, allegedly from San Marino manager Mr Drezzy, to the clubs board, has indicated that upto half of the entire San Marino team could be shown the door, in an effort to raise funds to secure bigger name signings.

McClaren announced as new Fiorentina Manager
Fiorentina have today announced that Steve McClaren has been named as new manager of the club. They believe he has the experience to take Fiorentina back into Europe. At the press conference, Mr McClaren said he was happy to be in charge and wanted to prove to a certain some body he wasn't afraid of Italy, and expected to do well there.
McClaren joins from Bristol City, after guiding them to an unlikely play off final, where they lost 2-1 to Portsmouth
Having set a target of reaching Serie B in 3 years, San Marino done it in one year. How ever, with prominent members of the first team retiring, or just losing their ability through age, San Marino have asked their manager to do everything in his power to help the team avoid relegation.
San Marino are favourites to go straight back down, and this will obviously turn away players who would find it hard enough to Drop to Serie B any way.
San Marino have a busy Pre-Seaon this year, welcoming suck sides as Sevilla, Juventus, Roma and Palermo to the Olimpico.
Only time will tell if San Marino survive their first ever season in Serie B

A few new signings had their first run out today and looked impressive against Sevilla. Even though San Marino lost, it didn't matter, they came so close to drawing the game and gave Sevilla a run for their money.
But the main aim was to receive funds, and a packed house meant that some much needed cash was injected into the bank
