San Marino 5 - 0 Cittadella
From Olimpico, Serravalle, Att:-4396
Tiboni (17, 19, 31), Koman (60), Armiche(78)
napolisalernitana.jpg

Cittadella controlled most of the match, but they couldn't find the finishing product, where as San Marino were turning almost every single shot on target, into a goal. Tiboni scored his first ever hattrick for the club, but he was taken off injured on 38 minutes.
San Marino added two more before the game was over, Koman getting his first of the season and Armiche delighting the home fans with a great individual effort. San Marino win in impressive fashion, 5-0

Serie B: Matchday 9

Albinoleffe 0 - 1 San Marino
From Atleti Azzurri D'Italia, Bergamo, Att:-3010
Armiche (90+2)
0.jpg

Both teams were guilty today of giving the ball away easy, and not taking their chances in front of goal. San Marino were content to shoot from far out, which didn't pay off. As the game went into injury time, both teams looked like they'd settle for the draw, but San Marino attacked and score, Armiche volleying home, which shocked the home crowd and sent the travelling supporters crazy. San Marino edge this one 1-0

McClaren: It's early days

RTR1NV7Q.jpg

Fiorentina manager, Steve McClaren, has today said that the season is only young, and he expected his side to easily qualify for Europe, even though his side sit 13th in Serie A with only 6 points from 6 games.
He went onto add that San Marino would probably fall away very soon, and they'd never enjoy such a good start ever again

Serie B: Matchday 10

San Marino 2 - 1 Livorno
From Olimpico, Serravalle, Att:-4500
Koman (11), Natali (31)
Lambrughi (83)
Livorno+Calcio+v+SSC+Napoli+Serie+ESEI7Y-brO1l.jpg

A full house witnessed a back and forth game today, with Livorno the slightly better side, how ever it was San marino who took their chances, with Koman scoring just after 10 minutes. San Marino doubled their tally when Natali headed home on the half hour mark.
Degre was returning to San Marino to face his old club, but even he couldn't stop them. Livorno did score near the death, to give the fans a nail biting finish, but San Marino stunned critics again, picking up 3 points against promotion favourites, Livorno

Serie B: Matchday 11

Taranto 2 - 0 San Marino
From Erasmo Lacovone, Taranto, Att:- 4391
Garofalo (55), Maah (87), )
taranto_jacovone1.jpg

San Marino crashed to their first league defeat of the season, against bottom of the table Taranto.
San Marino failed to take their chances and when they went down to ten men, they lost their concentration and Taranto took advantage, finally winning the game 2-0.

Impressive start of the season, you don't want to win Serie B straight away do you!?

Spotting some good signings as usual, gotta love Tiboni and his nasty long shots!

McLaren at Fiorentina is a shock, my favourite club could now become San Marino's fiercest rival :P

Italian Cup Qualifying 3rd round

San Marino 5 - 2 Foggia
From Olimpico, Serravalle, Att:-4500
Takak (2), Natali (5), Bernacci (17), Fedi (32), Tiboni (81)
Ahmadi (25), Sissoko (56)
vucinicfallsagainstl_236261.jpg

San Marino hosted Foggia in the Italian cup, and this season more then any, they were desperate to reach the Italian cup, proper. And they got off to a flying start, scoring 2 in just 5 minutes. The Bernacci added the third, San Marino were cruising. Ahmadi pulled one back for Foggia, but Fredi scored again on the half hour mark to give San Marino a 4-1 lead, which they took into the break.
Sissoko then scored for Foggia on 56 minutes, and tried to mount a come back but Tiboni put an end to that, scoring San marino's 5th of the gam on 81 minutes. San Marino are in the first round of the Italian cup for the first time in their History, if they can make it through the 4th Qualifying round

Yeah, very impressive start, but we've been very lucky in most of the games and some of the signings were luck too, i bet if i started this challenge again, things would be totally different....which is why FM2011 is Brilliant, no same game is the same

Tiboni is doing ok for us, but Benacci is the better striker.

And yes, i couldn't believe it when Ginger balls was put in charge of Fiorentina...he seems to be doing a good job of sucking there too lol

Serie B surprise package, San Marino, have been drawn against AlbinoLeffe in the 4th qualifying round.

Serie B: Matchday 12

San Marino 0 - 0 Crotone
From Olimpico, Serravalle, Att:-4113

San Marino stumbled again in the league, this time against lowly Crotone, with both teams only managing 1 shot on target each. Both teams were terrible today, and on this form, San Marino will find themselves gradually sliding down the table

Mutu: McClaren isn't the man

Adrian-Mutu-4d0a6e6f24820.jpg

Fiorentina's Romanian star, Adrian Mutu, had told local press that Steve McClaren isn't the man to bring Fiorentina back into Europe.
It is believed McClaren is furious with Mutu, putting his future in doubt.

Serie B: Matchday 13

Triestina 0 - 0 San Marino
From Nereo Rocco, Triesre, Att:-5928

4-0delvarese1azioned_402166.jpg

San Marino shared a point with a very good Triestina team. Triestina had San Marino on the back foot for the entire game, and it was a miracle that San Marino finished the game on level with Triestina.

Serie B: Matchday 14

San Marino 2 - 1 Frosinone
From Olimpico, Serravalle, Att:-4500
Bernacci (68), Albertazzi (OG 89)
Santoruvo (87)
2007_09_08_SanMarino_Tschechien_14.jpg

This was a very cagey encounter from both sides. But San Marino thought they had done enough on 68 minutes, with ever present Bernacci smashing home in fantastic style. But it looked as if San Marino would draw again, with Frosinone scoring 3 minutes from time to tie the score. But San Marino had luck on their side today, as Albertazzi miss kicked a clearance, the ball rolling into an empty net. San Marino win 2-1, luckily

McClaren: Mutu is the problem!

Steve-McClaren-edited1_2527149.jpg

Steve McClaren has today slammed Adrian Mutu, suggesting that the problem in Florence is not himself, but disruptive Adrian Mutu.
He said that Mutu will not play for the first team again, and he was looking to offload the troublesome striker

Mr Drezzy: We've signed Mutu!

mutu.jpg

Mr Drezzy, San Marino's manager, has today said that San Marino have signed Adrian Mutu on loan. Apparently, he will arrive in San Marino in January, and spend the rest of the season there.
It is understood Mutu has left Italy, and headed home to Romania until he is required in San Marino

Serie B: Matchday 15

Novara 1 - 2 San Marino
From Silvio Piola, Novara, Att:-2749
Drascek (5))
Tiboni (42), Koman (54))
novara_comunale1.jpg

What a game, Novara took the fight to San Marino, scoring early on with a decent chip from Drascek. San marino controlled the ball well but couldn't make it happen in the final third, where as Novara's strikers just didn't have their shooting boots on, missing easy chances.
Their misses let San Marino sneak back into the game, with Tiboni scoring from long range. After the break, Novara piled forward and San Marino hit them on the counter attack, with Koman scoring 9 minutes after the re start.
The game went on and Novara looked like a defeated team, but in the 93rd minute, they had scored an equaliser, but it was ruled out for a foul. Replays show that it was never a foul and Novara have every right to feel upset, non the less, San Marino win the math 2-1. With Siena losing, San Marino open up a 5 point lead, with San Marino fans having to pinch them selves, after finding themselves at the top of the table

Serie B: Matchday 16

San Marino 3 - 0 Piacenza
Natali (4, 82), Borini (90+1)
From Olimpico, Serravalle, Att:-4419

9a5f68ecd982b188d364718a28a80aaa.jpg

San Marino got off to a flying start, pleasing the home crowd, with Natali scoring a placed header on 4 minutes, but Piacenza came straight back at them, but with two injuries in the space of a few minutes for Piacenza, killed their resolve. The injuries shocked them and San Marino managed to contain them.
Piacenza began to pluck up their courage and started attacking San Marino. Mr Drezzy saw this as an ideal chance to counter attack, and on a Piacenza attack, San Marino countered with Natali finishing off a fantastic team move on 82 minutes. San Marino were leading 2-0, Piacenza had no answer.
And a minute into stoppage time, Borini scored to end the scoring and give San Marino an impressive 3-0 win, and important points

McClaren: Mutu can leave, he just can't go to San Marino

McClaren.jpg

After the deal had been signed, sealed and delivered, Steve McClaren has said that Adrian Mutu will NOT be joining San Marino in January, adding that he can join any one apart from them

Court of Sporting Arbitration: Nipping this in the bud

chateau_bethusy_court_abritration_sport.jpg

The court of sproting Arbitration has released a statement today, hoping to nip a situation in the bud, before it went out of control.
They said that the deal had already been signed and Mr McClaren had no right to refuse Mutu the loan move. They suggested that McClaren lets him leave, other wise himself and his club could find them selves with huge fines, and the Court of Sporting Arbitration would push the loan deal through any way

What a game! San Marino matched Siena all over the pitch, trading blows with the Serie B heavyweights. San Marino were so close but it was Sienna who walked away with all 3 points today, closing the gap to four points.
