Save games not loading Post 11.2 patch ?!

the ossue is fine with new games, but bizarrely not with old games

actually you can, do a system restore to before the update and then stop steam from auto-updating...

you can then play your 11.1.1 saves but obviously won't have the 11.2 patch

If it was me, I'd just start a new save and play that while waiting for the hotfix...
 
This is frankly rediculous !

So anyone who loaded the Polish leagues is pretty much screwed !
So there goes my time and hard work.

Disgusting again from SI, every year they give us a half baked steam of **** and expect us to put up and shut up.
FM11 is the last game I will buy in the series.

christ put your toys back in the pram.its not like they saw it coming, and they have been working through the night for a fix. so you can either wait, or start a new game. You're not the only one in this position.

Looks like you've answered your own rant then. If you hate it so much, don't buy it. None of us feel the need to unleash the RAEG on FM, because we think the good outweighs the bad by a **** of a lot.

Really hope hotfix will be out soon, would suck to have to start over, since the game becomes most fun after first 2-3 seasons
 
Yeah my palermo save is dead, dont know why i started a save like that before the .2 patch though. I normally wait before i do my big game saves

Like someone else said, good for you.

This is why you wait for the 2nd patch (the bug fixing patch) every year before starting any long term saves.
 
So if you didnt pick the polish league you can download the patch and still use your saves?

yeah, and you can start a new game with the polish league. you just cant load a save game that has the polish league

yeah, as Mike said. I downloaded ptatch through steam, had a save game with only english leagues, and no loading problems whatsoever

I not going to download it anyway as i have started another save already. I will download it when i do another one
 
Forgive me again but whats the difference in saves?
I just play the game save it, what other save can be used?
 
the same thing happened to my celtic game, working fine then when i went back on it steam had to update it to play it, go to load my game and wouldnt load and i didnt even have the polish leagues on. why? just why?
 
Just been a patch and my old save game works now :D
