hey jhopper, tried the tactic, had some pretty good results, though in not sure it suit gourcoff, i tend to get the best out of him playing as an avd playmaker, with roaming

Man United (0) v (3) Barcelona - Absolutely torn apart

Man United (3) v (2) Aston Villa (Evans, Welbeck, Holtby)

Man United (2) v (1) Stoke (Rooney, Villa)

Man United (4) v (0) Standard (Villa x3, Guerra)

West Ham (0) v (2) Man United (Spence O.G, Milevskyi)

Man United (2) v (0) Sunderland (Villa x2)

Standard (0) v (1) Man United (Rooney)

Man City (2) v (2) Man United (Anderson, Nani)

Man United (3) v (1) WBA (Villa, Nani, Evra)

Changed the tactics after the Aston Villa game as I felt we were too weak at the back. Ever since we have been very impressive, only dropping points away at title rivals Man City, and even then we were cruising until the last 10 minutes, when they injured our anchor man and Fletcher didn't have enough time to settle resulting in them scoring 2 goals. I think we can keep this form up for a long time now and hopefully develop a lead at the top of the table. Another update with screenshots will follow later but at the moment I don't have the time.

Thanks for reading guys !

i guess you have a nice position in the table? and if your sig is updated then i guess you have:P doing nicely

Sig is not updated, thats last season :P

09.05.2015 Man United 2 - 2 Coventry Villa, Gourcuff

Man United today clinched their 3rd succesive premier league title, with this draw against Coventry. This draw meant that United were 4points clear with just the one game to go.

The fans were delighted but with a Champions League final against Chelsea and FA Cup final against Burnley still come, the season was far from over yet !

23.05.2015 Chelsea 0 - 1 Man United Rooney Champions League FINAL
30.05.2015 Burnley 0 - 2 Man United Rooney, Welbeck FA Cup FINAL

That's it !! United have completed a sensational treble after wins against Burnley and Chelsea in the FA Cup and Champions League finals respectively. The fans are delighted with manager Jake Hopper who becomes one of the all time top spanish managers. He is said to be seriously considering his future, not just at the club but in the world of Football altogether.

"This has been a fantastic season and I am very proud of the players. I am exhausted at the moment and will need to take a break for a few weeks to recover from this exciting end to the season. I will then consider my future and have a sit down with the board, but I cannot see myself staying in the game much longer, as I think I have achieved all I possibly can now. I would like to thank all the players and staff, who have been absolutely fantastic during my spell here at the club, and also all the readers who have motivated and encouraged me through my management career here and at Fulham"

Thanks Very Much for following this story, but I don't think I will be continuing with this save.

I am planning on starting a game in the Championship with one of the lower sides such as Derby, Plymouth, Peterborough or Blackpool. Also interested in Swansea, as that's where I live, maybe a relegation scrap or bottom half team in the premier league, somebody like Blackburn, Bolton or Burnley. Or perhaps a stint in Spain with a club outside the top teams.

Any recommendations on teams who people have enjoyed would be welcomed.

Thanks to anybody who has followed this thread and an even bigger thanks to anybody who put the effort in to post :) Here are some screenshots for you to look at :

Well done :D . Especially like the result against Liverpool in the Champions League, I bet that one pleased the fans.

Fantastic turn around you've had at this club. nothing but respect :)

Top-notch story...which formation do you use? Do you stick to one or do you switch depending of the opposition!?
Keep it up!

Well done mate. Just read all 3 pages and nothing but respect as said above me. But good choice on stopping now, there is not much more you can achieve.

Well I used a 4-4-2 with attacking wingers in pretty much every match, bar away matches to Chelsea and Man City. Still have the game file and am struggling to find a team I enjoy at the moment, so may go back to this save but leave United and go somewhere else or maybe sell my whole team and see how I can do with the youth or something alone those lines. Any suggestions ?

Thanx mate!
Dunno how familiar you are with Swedish football...but I think you should take on (my team) AIK in the Swedish Premier Division (Allsvenskan). Might be a challenge worthy your knowledge...And I can promise you that it will be difficult to lure Milevskyi, Defour & co to Sweden... ;-) It would be very interesting to see if your knowledge could guide them to European glory as well... :-)
Otherwise I think it would be a great story to read if you took on for example Notts Co. just to see if you would be able to win some silverware with them as well!

Keep up the good work writing your stories...great fun to read!

fantastic thread. loved the fulham story too, whats your secret dude, i love fm2010, but am a poor poor manager.

You just have to make a tactic to suit your team. I find it better to use the in-game create a tactic to suit your best 11 players, dont use other peoples tactics as they wont necessarily work for you.
