If you're soo annoyed at the situation Hibs are in then why don't you do something about it....*nudge nudge*

There on the back up list with Hearts but will probably only do Aberdeen next time depending.

You built a really nice side in Dundee ;)

Perhaps too good. Never meant to build a team that was so far out front that i would win the Champions League. i wanted that title to myself.

September

Aside from a visit from Dundee Utd it was a good month
Two comfortable wins in the Europa League
We needed penaltys but saw off Hamilton in the League Cup

Thanks in part to my fellow European sides having the odd blunder we still sit 2nd a LONG way from Dundee Utd. The other half of Dundee is not in such good shape.

Two wins from two games puts us top, Brugge was far easier than i expected but the real test of a double header with Feyenoord will be in October

I'm incredibly annoyed that i didn't think of doing this first.. this is a great challenge

I just read from page 1 again :D

October

Aberdeen are bought out for £8m and are put on the stock exchange by there new owner
Back at Ibrox on the face of it a pretty awful month. We lost 3 tough away games in a row in the league to Celtic & Aberdeen then in europe to Feyenoord. We recovered to beat Motherwell in a brilliant match then ending the month on a high beating St Mirren to reach the League Cup Semi's where the party will end against Dundee Utd

With Dundee Utd gone at the summit Celtic & Aberdeen aint too far away for 2nd. With winter coming and Cup and Europa League distractions coming to an end we'll soon see what were made of!

One game in Holland and i decided to go for it and in a even match Feyenoord got the odd goal to put them in pole position to qualify top

November

Takover attempt at Rangers as the month begins. Will this finally be a rich owner? No local consortium. Dang it!
Slow start to the month but we finish it with 4 wins
Goalless draw with Feyenoord ends our hopes of top spot in the Group but beating Petrolul puts us into the lat 32 with Celtic & St Mirren. Hearts need a draw to make it 5 Scottish teams in europe After Christmas with Dundee Utd in the Champions League or Europa League depending on there final match.

We will finish 2nd. I usually play my best team if there is a mathematical chance of winning a group but have no faith in Pertolul

I've just read the whole story this morning. Great work and looking forward to more updates.

December

Transfer Embargo in place so no transfers in January to help the team or the bank balance.
As our Europa League distractions get out of the way our form usually improves massively but this years jump was crazy!
We manage a 2-2 draw with Dundee Utd ending a long winning run.
During this entire save Rangers had only beat Celtic once in 14 years. Today was a large dose of revenge

Plenty of Scottish Interest here. If we win its a last 16 tie with Torino or Standard

January

Club takeover collapses and Embargo is lifted. There would be another takeover attempt under way by the end of the month.
I Change our Expectation to Europa Qualifiers which give me enough cash to sign a former Celtic captain of mine.
On the pitch it was far from our best month
We lost 1-0 in the League Cup Semi Final to Dundee Utd

Not helped by ending the Falkirk game with 8 men we stumbled back down to 3rd. Big turn around needed in March but all the Europa League teams are suffering hence Aberdeens rise to a dangerous 4th and St Mirren faling back outside the top 6.

Europe

1st eg was a joke. My new regen enemy Omar Chihab got sent off after 8 minutes doing so for the 2nd match in a row and leading us to a poor 1st leg defeat. 2nd leg and with a very 2nd hand defense we somehow kept control of the game and won the tie to set up a trip to Italy against Torino
Celtic & St Mirren also found themselves in the last 16 while Hearts went out to Rosenborg after a late goal.

March

New chairman takes over and puts another £3m into the bank and will further upgrade the training facilities
St Mirren & Dundee Utd are the only sides less in Europe
Two away thrashings is signs of happier times coming towards the end of the season.

Torino pushed us to a draw at Ibrox then in the 2nd leg they went all Italian on us to put us out. St Mirren did what Hearts couldnt against Rosenborg while Celtic were also upset by the away goals.

End Of Season

Dundee Utd beat us 1-0 in another Cup Semi Final before going on to Loose to St Mirren in the Final
St Mirren had there share of final misery as they lost 3-2 in extra time to Ajax in the Europa League Final
Two bad results with Motherwell cost us any chance of 2nd place so back to the Europa League next season.

Top 2 remain the same. Were on the verge of 2nd with Aberdeen & Hearts the next best. St Mirren have a dire SPL season ending in the bottom 6 but more than make up for in the cups. Dundee go down and Falkirk join them by loosing to Cowdenbeath in the playoffs.

Season 15 Review

Season stats

SPL - 3rd
Scottish cup - Semi Finals
Scottish League Cup - Semi Finals
Europe - Europa League - Last 16

Another year and another 3rd place for me. Good runs in the cup were only ended by Dundee Utd.

SPL Review

Dundee Utd - 8/10 - Only managed the double thanks to St Mirren. Finished under 100 points too. Jack love got 40 goals. His best season since i left as winger Bastian Schafer took all the awards

Celtic - 7/10 - Almost identical to last season except there was no cup finals and a better European run so i'll give them a extra point for that

Rangers - 7/10 - First season went well. There star power was good enough to bring in some pretty good players right away. Depending on the offers coming in i might be busy with transfers again.

Aberdeen - 6/10 - A step back in position at my fault. Sanchez was amazing for the Dons who will hopfully stay top 4 next term

Hearts - 7/10 - After spending the most money in the summer outside Dundee it was a free signing from Hamilton Paul Cherrie led them back to the top 6 again

Motherwell - 6/10 - A surprise team in the top 6. On loan striker Dietrich was the difference between top 6 and bottom 6 as well as a former player of mine Willie Moore

St Mirren - 7/10 - Best performances came in the cup & Europe which had a huge bearing on there first finish outside the top 6. There cup run cant be ignorred

Hibs - 5/10 - A Quiet run to the 8th.

Ross County - 6/10 - First season back in the top flight and they were comfortable.

Dunfermline - 6/10 - John Collins did it again and Dunfermline will be in the top flight again next year.

Falkirk - 5/10 - I'll say the same about Dundee. Both sides were in a shambolic state. Hemeroging goals. To be fair on them this was a high scoring season

Dundee - 3/10 - Falkirk were bad but on there day they could put away some decent sides. Dundee could not hence they were relegated a few weeks earlier.

It took extra time but the better side won in the San Siro

SPL still 8th while Turkey move up the list

In the Club rankings Rangers fly up the Rankings from the 200's to 82nd. Dundee Utd 4th, Celtic 20th, St Mirren 49th, Hearts 89th. Aberdeen drop back to 145th after failure to qualify for the group phase.

Season 16 - 2028/29

France ended Italy long unbeaten run in the European Championship Final 2-0.
Steve Clarke retired from managment and for some unknown reason they went to Hamilton manager Paul McGowan to be there new manager, Actually his stats are pretty good.
England Phillip Cocu & Spain Frank De Boer as the Dutch seem to be taking over the World

Targets
SPL - 2nd
Scottish Cup - Final Appearance in either cup
Scottish League Cup - Final Appearance in either cup
Europe - Europa League last 16

We came close to overtaking Celtic last season so 2nd has to be the target with Dundee Utd so far ahead. Hopefully we can avoid Dundee Utd and reach a cup final and if we can get to the last 16 in the Europa League i'll be happy.

Out
Two main players leaving were Omar Chilhab who got sent off 3 times in the last few months including back to back games pushing my patients and ending his time at Rangers. Daniele Preda was a 1 season only guy so delighted with the profit on him. Youngsters Jamie Anderson & Jim Sinclair didnt live up to there reputations and were sold off too. Anyone leaving on a free was dead, rotted wood.

Ourselves, Dundee Utd & Aberdeen sell of 2 big players each. Dundee Utd made the biggest purchase £1.8m on an average Motherwell midfielder however made a brilliant free signing from Monaco too.
Aberdeen & Celtic will rely on loans to try beat us to 2nd place.

Four changes are planned. Benali or Medina will end up as starting center back and Japanese wing back Makoto takes over from Dean Moore. Midfield is quite similar to how we ended last season while both new my attacking wingers are set to start.

Dundee United Europa League Groups
Kilmarnock Champs League playoff/Europa League Group Stage
Rangers Champs League playoff
Celtic Champs League 1st/Europa League Semi

We've got a tough draw. Galatasaray & Metalists will be tough away days were we'll have to get something to get to the knockout phases. Aberdeen's draw is even tougher. St Mirren have a good chance to get through, Hearts have Spartak & Leeds in there way while Celic face Dinamo & AZ. In the Champions League Dundee Utd face Zenit, Benfica & Petrolul so they should get through.

Transfer Window

Dundee Utd & Celtic keep on selling although Celtic picked up an amazing striker on a free who i could interest in Ibrox to replace there main sale. St Mirren splash some of there Europa League money from lasts season. Rangers couldnt get anyone they wanted so only the sale of overpriced Dean Moore from us.
