In the SPL we were not to hot either. Defeat to St Mirren and a Draw with Hearts was not what i expected. However were still sitting 3rd where i can see St Mirren being our main rivals once it all settles down. Dundee Utd beat Celtic 4-1 in the top of the table clash.

Bayern lead the way while it will be between St Etienne & FC Kobenhaven for 2nd while we just look to save some pride.

1 Point gap at the top. Were only 4 points behind our next opponents 3rd place St Mirren. Hibs, Inverness & Hamilton as close as you can get at the bottom.

We finally grab a point to end the group bottom as we knew we would a long time ago. Early days for this squad so not to distraught.

EDIT 29/7/14 - Celtic were Knocked out despite having a easy Group. Dundee Utd won there Group and St Mirren shocked the world by knocking out Dinamo Kiev on head to head record.

The Greek winger/Striker will join a very strong attacking core. With his international reputation he's guarrented to bring my some money in the near future.

Out
My South African midfielder Mhlonishwa Ndlovu had a offer of £2m which i negotiated up to around £3m a great return considering he's out of form this season and he is about to miss most of January at the African Nations

Perfect month with 5 wins from 5 drags us into a fight for 2nd place.
Victory in the cup sets ups a Semi Final with Rangers

We have opened a small gap to St Mirren and tighten our grips on 3rd and are now looking ahead to catch Celtic for 2nd who are only 5 points ahead.

Will you finish when you reach nr 1 in rankings ?

If i get the SPL to no1 i will be amazed! will probably carry on till the next FM game is on the go unless my new job gives me to much time and insperation to play another save.

March

Hibs sack Allan McGregor and replace him with Hamiltons Darren Barr. Hamilton take on Paul McGowan as there new boss
We close the gap right up to Celtic then get utterly robbed by loosing 5 starting players to international duty to Celtics's 1. We went on to loose 5-0
Only consolation is Dundee Utd beat Celtic 7-0 in the League cup final

Dundee Utd secure the title. Were cheated out of 2nd spot. For now St Mirren should have enough over Hearts & Rangers for 4th. Hamilton got 1 point in March to put them ahead of Inverness.

End Of Season

Man Utd end Dundee Utd's dominance of Europe knocking them out 4-2 in the Quarter Finals
Rangers shock even my beating us 2-1 deservedly in the Scottish Cup Semi Finals
Final game of the season is my 100th at Aberdeen
Do Bilbao always become great in this game. record points, record goals and the La Liga title to go with there Champions League final appearance

Dundee Utd break 100 points while Celtic only just held us off for 2nd place. St Mirren struggled through the final 10 matches ending up 4th. Hometown here Barry Wilson could not save Inverness who went down.

SPL - 3rd
Scottish cup - Semi Finals
Scottish League Cup - 3rd Round

Digression from last year im afraid. 3rd equaled our results from last season but both cups saw us upset by Rangers & Livingston.Work on the squad is required to secure our spot on 3rd and push towards 2nd.

SPL Review

Dundee Utd - 9/10 - Cleared 100 points and won all before them in Scotland. Only reached the Quarter Finals of the Champions League but thats still great for the countrys coefficants.

Celtic - 6/10 - 75 points, a early exit from the Europe and the Scottish Cup and a humiliating 7-0 defeat in the League Cup final. Laudrups time must almost be up! Ali Khamis led the team and without them i couldnt begin to think where they would be!

Aberdeen - 6/10 - Cant complain about a very competitive run to 3rd place. Cups were a disapointment but we were not ready for Europe and combining domestic football left us shattered. A mistake i'll try and avoid next season.

St Mirren - 7/10 Better form in the league but are now firmly the 4th force in the league. A Brilliant run in the Europa League to the last 16 is a great boost to the national coefficiants.

Hearts - 7/10 - Jumping up from 8th last season Hearts are back in the top 6 where they should be, I'd say they would be the 5th best side in the league with the remaining sides much worse off. On Loan Celtic youngster Liam Stanton was the influencial force being there rise back to the top 6.

Rangers - 6/10 - These neeps are just impossible to figure out. The team were except 1 player rating under 7, Ahh a huge influx of loan players from the premierships youth teams! 64 Year Old McCoist cant be far away from getting out of our lives

Dunfermline - 7/10 - Lost there lead striker but improved from last season and might have a good enough base to stay in the SPL long term.

Motherwell - 5/10 - Last summer i declared Motherwell were back in the top 6 to stay. Well 1 year later and there back in the bottom 6 despite improving there side and having Derek Adams they stepped back this season.

Dundee - 7/10 - Loaned a heep of player shut only 1 made a significant difference. Goal machine Gary Milne from West Ham outscored Everyone except Jack Love. Will he be back in the SPL next season? I hope so!

Hibs - 4/10 Rather than getting annoyed with Hibs i can only feel sorry for them having sold there best players and struggle to get suitable replacements in.

Hamilton - 3/10 - Last season they managed to stay up for the first time but a 3rd season was denied by a 115th minute Falkirk goal in the Playoff

Inverness CT - 2/10 - Time is up for Inverness. A few real bad choices of manager leaves them leaving the SPL for the 1st time in the save. Highland representation is saved by Ross County winning the Championship.

Champions League Final
Athletic Bilbao 0-2 Barcelona
View attachment 351048
Strange stat but Barcelona have won the Champions League every odd year in the 20's 21,23,25 and 27. This was after 10 years without even making the final.

Continental Standings
Forgot the pictures but not much happening here.

National Coefficients
Scotland are still 8th but with less Coefficients point for the first time in a very long time as we dropped 2000 points thanks to Celtic being poor and our Europa League group performance.

Competition Rankings
Still 8th here too.

Scotland on the rise in the Club Rankings once again. Dundee Utd are still 5th, Celtic are up 1 to 20th despite an aweful season and Aberdeen move up a bit to 156th. Other sides worth a mention are St Mirren 78th! Hearts 128th and Rangers down at 179th.

Last Action Of the season

I take over at Rangers
View attachment 351041

Still the most time winners despite almost 2 decades without a title. I was always my plan to take over Rangers before Aberdeen so that i could make the last and greatest team from Aberdeen but McCoist by some miracle was never ever getting sacked and only by retiring did we see the back of him. Aberdeen will almost certainly be my next and final spot unless Celtic go to pot or a rich owner takes over a smaller side. But back to Rangers this will be weird. I have NEVER EVER played as Rangers as they are up there with Man City & Liverpool as clubs i dislike the most lets just say. We'll look more closely at a very different Rangers side next season as this side is DUMP!

Hey mate, absolutely loving this story! As a Dundee United fan I am very impressed with their progress!

I was wondering if you could upload the save? No worries if you don't want to.

Omar Chihab join after spending his career so far in La Liga and finally former Motherwell youth player Chris Chaplin returns to the SPL after time down south with Villa, Birmingham and Norwich. Old Rangers players will be back up with u19 James Anderson the standout well only youth prospect.

If not Clive O'Conner is waiting in the wings with Ryan Lilley & William Gauld all have experience of racking up goals in the SPL.

I brought in a few good youths to Aberdeen to help them as much as possible before leaving. Alan Thompson the man i replaced now replaces me getting a 2nd bite at the Pittodrie cherry.
Pretty quiet away from my work. Dundee Utd on spent £7m Celtic & St Mirren loan as usual.

FM Season Preview
View attachment 350579
Dundee Utd are as expected huge favorites for the title as are Celtic for 2nd. Closer between Aberdeen & St Mirren for 3rd. Rangers are tipped for 8th but i think we'll do much better than that. Top 6 at worst. and Falkirk are the biggest odds i've seen so far to go down.
