Sheff Utd story

Cheers mate, yeah hopefully we can. Obviously got the cup final to look forward too as well.

SHEFF UTD 0 - 1 MAN UTD
Half way has now passed and i think this fixtures shows how far we've come. We played Man Utd in the first game of the season and got absolutely battered 4-1! However, this game was much closer. Man Utd still dominated but we threatened despite not having a single shot on target. We kept getting in good positions but failing to make the final ball count or failed to manage to get on the end of the cross. Man Utd were still worthy winners but it was much better than last time.

SHEFF UTD 2 - 0 GILLINGHAM - FA cup
A very routine victory, we won this one without getting out of second gear! As with a lot our cup games, a weakened team was put out which included Kolar, Eagles, Scougall, Aquiliani, Romagna and Distin.
This routine victory draws us at home to Burnley in the next round.

View attachment 316130

View attachment 316129

SHEFF UTD 1 - 1 EVERTON
A decent draw against another mid table side. Not an awful lot between the sides but with Everton's ageing squad i really felt we could get the win here.

View attachment 316128

View attachment 316127

NORWICH 0 - 0 SHEFF UTD
A slightly disappointing draw, us and Norwich are both doing well after our promotions with Norwich currently 9th in the league.
This game also sets us both us nicely for the two legged league cup semi final with the away leg being played next.

View attachment 316126

View attachment 316125

SHEFF UTD 2 - 3 NORWICH
Well we're still in it! A disappointing loss but we can definitely still progress. Such a shame after going 2-0 up with early set piece goals from Danny Wilson and John Brayford. We should have been able to see the game out following that but 3 sloppy mistakes at the back allowed Norwich back in it.

View attachment 316124

View attachment 316123

SHEFF UTD 4 - 1 BURNLEY - FA cup (4th round)
Another routine victory in the cup. Again a second string side was played against Championship side Burnley. We did well after going 1-0 down following a very good strike from Andre Moritz. Goals from Pelle, Haililovic and a double from Le Fondre saw the game out.

SHEFF UTD 4 - 1 NORWICH
What a win!! WE'RE IN THE FINAL !!
A hat-trick from Diafra Sakho (recently back from injury) wins us the game and sends us into the final where we'll play our favourite team ... MAN UTD.

View attachment 316119

Well we've dropped down the league a little this month, probably because most of our efforts have gone on the league cup. We're still 5 points ahead of safety but we really need to pick up some of our prevous form to climb back up the league.

View attachment 315803
ARSENAL 2 - 0 SHEFF UTD
Not a great start to the month with this defeat which really brought us back to earth with a bump. Arsenal really showed their class here and were by far the better side! Shaqiri scored early on and never really looked back from there.

View attachment 315795

View attachment 315794

SHEFF UTD 6 - 2 IPSWICH
Here is when it all clicked! 2 hat-tricks in 2 weeks from Sakho put us on our way to our biggest win of the season. Ipswich are struggling and bottom of the league so a win was always expected but i never thought we'd score 6!!
Further goals from Traore, Pelle and Brayford, who is continuing to earn his space in the team, earned us the best victory of my career.

View attachment 315793

View attachment 315792

SHEFF UTD 2 - 3 TOTTENHAM
Very disappointing to lose this so late on but still a pleasing performance which deserved more! Tottenham went down to 10 men after just over half an hour so really felt we could have got a result. Unfortunately Erikson popped up late on to ****** the win.

View attachment 315791

View attachment 315790

CHELSEA 5 - 3 SHEFF UTD
Our biggest loss of the season! I really felt that with our goal scoring form we could cause Chelsea problems ... and we did, just not enough!
In total we had 20 shots and 15 on target but just couldn't cope with Chelsea's attacking play. Vincent Aboubakar is really becoming a thorn in our backside ... we just cant handle him. A good performance from Traore who scored twice but ultimately Chelsea were far too good.

View attachment 315788

View attachment 315787

CHELSEA 2 - 1 SHEFF UTD - FA cup 5th round.

Once again Chelsea showed their class, we learned our lession a little following the last match where the dominated and scored 5! We sat back more and tried to hit them on the break, ultimatley though Chelsea are just a better side than us.

View attachment 315785

View attachment 315784

SHEFF UTD 0 - 1 QPR

Our poor form continues, thats three defeats in a row now!! QPR are in a similar position to us so this was disappointing not to get anything, especially conceding so late!

View attachment 315783

View attachment 315782

SHEFF UTD
5 - 1 STOKE
I honestly cant understand how we can have 2 performances so different, by an large it was the same side playing but a totally different looking side.
Anyway, this was another occasion where we just clicked! Stoke had been doing really well and are 6th in the league so this result was very pleasing. Halilovic with his first hat-trick for the club, goals from Danny Wilson and Sakho followed. We seem a much better side now Sakho's back and we're able to field a proper number 9.
A nice way to end the month anyway ... and we look forward to the cup final next.

View attachment 315781

View attachment 315780

So after that mixed period we move up the league slightly into 14th place, 8 points clear off the bottom 3. We now need another 9 points from the last 10 games to reach our target of 40 points.

View attachment 315778

It looks as though our good form has also caught the attention of some of our rivals who decided to part company with their managers:

View attachment 315798

Ipswich were the first club wanting my services, they parted company with Mick McCarthy who left the club bottom of the table, 9 points off safety and without a win in 12 games!! Having looked at their squad, they deserve to go down ... its terrible! I dont really know how they've managed to stay in the division for the last 3 seasons.
After turning them down, Gerado Martino was appointed. He's got a tough job on his hands.

Then ...
View attachment 315796

Hull City were next to try and persuade me away from Bramall Lane. They parted company with Steve Bruce after 5 and a half years of service. Bruce left with Hull just in the bottom 3 and 3 points off safety. They've acctually got some decent players and have been in the Premier League for some time now. However its going to take a much better offer for to leave Utd, especially with a cup final coming up and the possibility of Europe if we win.
Eventually CAROLS QUEIROS was hired.

Dan Walker: Hello and welcome everyone to a football focus special where today we'll be looking at this afternoons League Cup Final between Sheffield United and Manchester United. My guest today, Robbie Savage will the talking you through the main talking points.

So, Robbie, how do you see today's game going?

Robbie Savage: Well i cant see anything other than a Man Utd win today. I mean just look at their line up, its far superior to Sheff Utd's who i feel dont really have a chance. Man Utd have also already beaten the Blades twice this season, both comprehensively. The first game where Man Utd won 4-1, Sheff utd hardly had a kick!

Dan Walker: Okay, so do you think Sheff Utd stand any chance whatsoever today?

Robbie Savage: Well they have a chance but a very slim one. If they're going to have any success today then Alen Halilovic really needs to get on the ball more, Forshaw's also had a decent season playing right wing and cause Man Utd problems on the counter.

Dan Walker: And who are the danger men for Man Utd then?

Robbie Savage: It really could be anyone! In the previous two meetings it been Falcao but i know he's been struggling with an injury so might not feature this afternoon. Without him, Lucas Moura and Wayne Rooney will have to be on form to compensate. My concern for Man U today are their full backs, it looks as though Phil Jones will be playing right back and Johnny Evans left back. They just wont bring the attacking threat that Rafael and Luke Shaw offer.

Dan Walker: Okay so were not far away from kick off, let's have a look at the line ups:

Dan Walker: And there's big new coming from the Red Devils camp with Vanja Milinkovic-Savic coming into the starting line up, the 20 year old making his first appearance for Man Utd and only his 25 professional game in his whole career.

News is coming to us that De Gea has pulled up during training, at the moment the extent of the injury is unknown.

Robbie, how do you think this will effect the game?

Robbie Savage: This gives Sheff Utd a great chance, they really need to target him being Man Utd's weak link.

After seeing that side, i actually think the Blades have a decent chance here. This will be the best chance of silverware they'll probably ever get. This is a really weak Man Utd side and Sheff Utd really need to go for it.

Dan Walker: Okay, well we're approaching kick off now so lets see how this plays out.

KICK OFF

8"
A good chance for Man Utd here, Lucas Moura found some space on the edge of the box after finally getting the better of Haidara. A decent effort from Moura but Jug matched it with a good save down to his left.

19"
Moura did well down the right hand side and put a low cross in to the edge of the box where Wayne Rooney was lying in wait. After creating some space for himself, Rooney then ballooned the ball over the bar. A good chance wasted.

View attachment 315758

31"
After being kept quiet for the first half an hour, Juan Mata finally comes to life and creates a great chance for Ander Herrera from the edge of the box. A tame shot follows which Jug collects with ease.
Man Utd are really putting the pressure on now, the Blades just cant seem to get on the ball.

40"
GOOOOAAAAALL
Sheff Utd take the lead following a good finish by Graziano Pelle.
The Blades take the lead against the run of play after Man Utd have had numerous chances to take the lead. Can they now hang on ...

View attachment 315757

HALF TIME - Sheff Utd 1-0

Dan Walker: So Robbie, not exactly as we thought was it?

Robbie Savage: Absolutely not, but i really feel this could be Sheff Utd's year. They've done so well in knocking out Liverpool and Man City on their way that you wonder if its just meant to be.

Dan Walker: So can you see Man Utd getting back into this?

Robbie Savage: Oh definatley, they've still got quality players on the pitch and have already had chances to take the lead.

Dan Walker: Okay, well lets see if they can:

SECOND HALF

60"
Man Utd now rack up their 20th attempt on gaol from yet again Wayne Rooney who squanders a good opportunity as Andre Wisdom blocks his shot for a corner.

70"
Man Utd introduce Falcao for Herrera to try and find this equalizer.

74"
Falcao straight into the action as he has a good strike from 25 yards which Jug tips over the bar.

78"
Sheff utd have a chance of their own to double their lead. Dele Alli breaks away following yet another Man Utd corner. Michael Keane managed to head away with the ball bouncing to Alli who then ran nearly the full length of the pitch. Unfortunately, there was no end product as he hit a weak effort straight at the goalkeeper.

87"
Things are getting desperate for Man Utd now as Rooney tries from distance. Sheff Utd are playing so deep that Man U just cant see a way past them.

90+"
A cross comes in from Moura which met the head of Falcao ... which goes over the bar! This must now be the last chance for Man Utd.

FULL TIME

SHEFF UTD 1 - 0 MAN UTD

We took a slight turn for the worst in the league following our League Cup success:

HULL 2 - 3 SHEFF UTD
Another very good result, a close game which could have gone either way. Fortunately our attacking play won us this one. Another great game by Sakho who again managed to get on the score sheet, Jenkinson also managed to score after getting himself back in the side. Romagna also put in a good performance after filling in for several injuries we have at the back.
We did very well to follow up our cup success with another victory.

View attachment 315256

View attachment 315255

SHEFF UTD 1 - 3 LIVERPOOL
A frustrating game in which Liverpool dominated from start to finish. An equalizer from Sakho got us back into it but Liverpools superiority shone late on with goals from Emre Can and Insigne.

View attachment 315253

View attachment 315252

SWANSEA 2 - 2 SHEFF UTD
Again, a very close game. n injury sustained by Keane is very worrying, hopefully this wont be anything serious. Goals from Romagna and Thorne bagged the point for us. I rested a few for this game due to the amount of games already played and the fact that survival should be straight forward this wasnt a must win game.
This now puts us on 35 points with 7 games to go, this really should see us retain our Premier League status.

View attachment 315251

View attachment 315250

SHEFF UTD 0 - 0 SOUTHAMPTON
This point edges us nearer to our 40 point target, 4 more points are needed from 6 games. A decent draw in a pretty uneventful game. Both teams pretty much safe from relegation playing out a dull goalless draw.

View attachment 315249

View attachment 315247

SHEFF UTD 0 - 0 ASTON VILLA

Another boring goalless draw between two mid-table sides. Slightly more action than was in the Southampton game but still nothing really to report. 3 points to go before we hit the magic 40!!

View attachment 315246

View attachment 315245

WEST HAM 1 - 4 SHEFF UTD
Finally something to cheer about ... some goals!!
After going 1-0 down we really played well to get back in it, an Adam Forshaw hat-ticked followed and all three points were ours. This puts us on 40 points and keeps our Premier League status intact.

View attachment 315237

View attachment 315235

CARDIFF 1 - 0 SHEFF UTD

This is where we really took our foot off the gas. Again a number of changes were made following our target being met. A dead rubber for us with Cardiff still fighting for their lives.

View attachment 315241

View attachment 315240

LEICESTER 3 - 2 SHEFF UTD
Another disappointing result ... we just want the season to end and get on our holidays!
We really didnt get off to a good start, conceding in the first goal followed by two more before half time.

View attachment 315239

View attachment 315238

Well we've confirmed our Premier league survival with 41 points. Ipswich are (as predicted) the first team to be relegated after 36 games.

With just 2 more games to go we havent really anything else to play for.

View attachment 315257

During this period Fillipo Romagna made his way into the team and also managed to win young player of month for March with some very impressive performances, as well as scoring a couple of goals. He looks to be a decent prospect already.
Fellow youngster Adrian Segovia also got a mention, coming second for the same prize.

View attachment 315232

So unfortunatley we finish the season with two further defeats, at home to Newcastle and away to Man City!

NEWCASTLE 2 - 0 SHEFF UTD

A dissapointing result which will end the season on a bit of a downer. Goals from Mane and Sime De Jong selaed the victory. In the end it was a pretty close game but Newcastle showed better finishing that us.

View attachment 314876
View attachment 314875

MAN CITY 2 - 0 SHEFF UTD

City finally got their revenge here after suffering two defeats to us earlier on in the season. Man City were very good and thoroughly deserved their win. Man City's class really showed here with a brace from Domenico Berardi. Berardi had joined City a year ago for £41million, this showed the gulf in class and finances between us.

View attachment 314874

View attachment 314873

So these two defeats see us finish the season in 14th place on 41 points! This ensured we surpassed our pre season target which was 40 points. In the end we finished 7 points clear of the relegation zone!

View attachment 314870

So with the end of the season upon us i thought id show some stats from the season:

Ibrahima Traore wins fans player of the year:
View attachment 314868

Traore has had a great season following his loan spell from German side BMG. Traore finished the season with 9 goals but was also instrumental in setting up a number of goals for his team mates. With Traore's contract set to expire next month the rumours are surfacing that Sheff Utd are preparring to offer their on loan star a permanent deal.

Kevin McCabe retires:
View attachment 314866

This news is actually slightly worrying as Kevin McCabe is the current chairman of Sheff Utd so his retirment has led to a consortium looking to take over the football club. We'll wait to see what happens here but i know new chairmen normally want to appoint a new manager ...

View attachment 314864

This possible take over also means the club's been put under a transfer embargo!! Meaning we are unable to offer for any pleayers whether it be full transfer, loan offers or free transfers! This could really hamper the squad if this drags out!!

I'll also take this chance to show our season so far with the Czech Republic:

View attachment 314862

So we went on to win the group with some comfort! Taking 24 points from the 10 games and finished 5 points clear of second place Serbia. Bring on the World Cup ...

Going well so far mate, be interesting to see what happens in regards to the takeover!

View attachment 314833

Really pleased with this group! I feel we have a great chance to progress. South Africa and Saudia Arabia should both be winable games, Colombia are a very good side, actually ranked second in the world with a very powerful attacking line up.
Group B is probably the stand out group with Spain, Belgium and Brazil all in the same group! This means one of the pre tournament favourites will be knocked out at the group stage.

View attachment 314832

2014 winners Germany start as pre tournament favourites to retain their crown. They've also been drawn in a fairly straight forward group which shouldnt cause them too many problems. Spain are second favourites after winning all their qualifiing matches, however a tough group with Brazil and Belgium could cause a problem in qualifying.
Czech Republic meanwhile are placed at 30/1 outsiders, the media probably think qualifying from the group stage should be the aim but cant see us progressing much further. A potential second round tie against Argentina or Holland could also hamper our chances.

View attachment 314830

Unsurprisingly, Barcelona's Neymar starts the tournament as favourite to win the Golden Shoe. His team mate, Lionel Messi starts the tournament in 5/1 second favourites.
Czech Republic have two players on the list with main striker Tomas Necid coming in at 75/1 and attacking left winger Ladislav Krejci at 100/1.

Going well so far mate, be interesting to see what happens in regards to the takeover!

Cheers! Yeah its really hard having this transfer embargo as i wanted to make all my signings before the World Cup but wasnt able to. Missed out on half a dozen players already!

2018 WORLD CUP SET TO BEGIN!!

Russia will kick off the 2018 World Cup against surprise qualifiers, New Zealand. The home nation will go into the match as big favourites, Russia go into the tournament as 20/1 tenth favourites, pundits are expecting them to qualify from their group fairly easily.
New Zealand on the other hand are 1000/1 long shots and are ranked as the lowest nation to qualify for this years World Cup.

Lets see how the first round of results go ...

GROUP A

Russia 3 - 1 New Zealand
Ghana 1 - 1 Slovakia

GROUP B

Spain 4 - 1 Japan
Brazil 3 - 2 Belgium

And next we have Czech Republic against South Africa in the first game of Group C.

View attachment 314815

Adrian Chiles: Hello and welcome for yet another day full of excitement and good football. Our first game today see's 2014 hosts, South Africa take on the Czech Republic who are appearing in their first World Cup since 2006 where they were knocked out at the first round.

So chaps, how do you see this game going?

Ian Wright: I see a very close game today, Czech Republic are in great form after achieving an unexpected qualification. I see a draw today, i just cant pick a winner.

Glen Hoddle: I cant see South Africa getting anything today, i just feel Czech Republic will have too much for them, especially giving the form their in and the feel good factor they must have.

Adrian Chiles: So who do you see as being the match winners today:

Martin O'Neil: Kermit Erasmus has been South Africa's match winner throughout qualifying and i can't see that changing yet. If South Africa want any success today and indeed throughout the tournament then he needs to find his form.

Lee Dixon: I really see Ladislav Krejci being the match winner for the Czech Republic, he's been the one who creates everything for the Czech Republic and usually Vaclav Kadlec is their in the box to finish off his good work.

Adrian Chiles: So, the game is approaching, lets see if our experts are correct:

KICK OFF

8"
A good chance for Czech Republic as Kolar plays a through ball for Kadlec who looked to get free from the last defenders only for the cover defender Xulu got a last minute block.

21"
Another chance wasted for Czech Republic as Kadlec again was free of the defenders before putting his effort wide.

25"
A rare chance for South Africa as midfielder Maluleko tried a long range shot which forced a good save from Petr Cech.

44"
Another half chance for Czech Republic just before the break, this time falling to Daniel Kolar who really should have finished following good play from Pavel Kaderabek.

HALF TIME.

Adrian Chiles: Well, just as we expected hey?

Glen Hoddle: Absolutely! Just as we said. A very tight and nervy game. The Czech Republic have definitely had the better chances and kept possession better but it doesn't count for anything if you cant stick the ball in the back of the net.

Ian Wright: I really feel that the Czech's need to get Krejci needs to get on the ball more in they want to hurt South Africa.

Adrian Chiles: Okay, well lets see if we can get a winner out of this game.

KICK OFF

55"
Another wasted opportunity wasted by Vaklav Kadlec following yet again good play from Krejci down the left wing. South Africa really need to learn to stop him or its going to hurt them!

62"
South Africa getting more in the game now as they switch to a 4-4-2 formation and try and hit the Czech Republic on the break. The game's becoming much more stretched now.

79"
Substitute Tokelo Rantie takes the ball past Lukas Hejda with ease deep in the Czech's half. Rantie picked up the ball following a promising attack from the Czech Republic but now manages to feed through youngster Morgan Sithole who powers a shot beyond Petr Cech who has now chance. GOAL.
1-0 to South Africa.

85"
Czech Republic really going for this equalizer now, pushing everyone further forward. They must have had the ball in the final third for about 10 minutes now without managing to break down this stubborn South African side.

90+5"
A corner taken by Krejci, this must be the last chance of the game now! The corner gets headed away but only as far as Krejci who again puts another cross in towards the back post where he finds Radim Reznik who heads into the top corner. GOAL. 1-1. The right back found himself in an unusual situation following the set piece but finished just like a natural striker.

FULL TIME - 1-1.

In the other game in Group C, Saudia Arabia and Colombia played out a very entertaining 2-2 draw, meaning after the first game all 4 teams are on 1 point and cant be sperated.
We'll see what game 2 brings as Czech Republic take on Saudia Arabia while Colombia take on South Africa in the games early kick off.

With Colombia beating South Africa 1-0 in the earlier kick off, its now left to the Czech Republic to beat the supposed whipping boys of the group, Saudi Arabia, to keep up. Although Saudi Arabia were tipped to lose every game of this group, their performance in the first game against Colombia will have given them planty of confidence.

Lets see how we get on:

Czech Republic 5 - 0 Saudi Arabia

Forward Vaclav Kadelc bagged a first half hat-trick, with Liverpool full back Pavel Kaderabek and Marek Suchy put a gloss on the finish. 5-0 up at half time really killed the game off and ensured there would be no fight back from the lowest ranked team in the competition.
This was a thourouly dominant performance, as the stats show, and in truth we really could have had more! We look our foot of the pedal in the second half and just settled for the 5 goal margin !!

This now puts us in a great position to qualify, given our goal difference is far better than all the others, a point against Colombia in the final game would secure qualification. A draw would in fact suit both sides as Colombia would also secure qualification with this result.
Having said that, Colombia should really be going for the win to secure top spot and the chance of playing a weaker side in the first knockout round.

Lets have a quick look at Group 3 which is the Group we will meet in the next round:

Well its certainly advatnage to who ever can finish top of our group as the chances are a next round tie with Wales awaits. Wales and Argentina have already secured qualification having picked up 2 wins from 2 and face each other in the final group game. Wales will need to get a win if they want to top of the group.

Argenita have been the form side of the competition so far, scoring 9 goals in 2 games, Messi getting 4 of those (including a hat trick against Costa Rica), Di Maria with 2 and Aguero with 1. Wales on the other hand have got this far by having a great defence, which are yet to conceed a single goal.

A good result against Colombia (win or draw) and an Argentina win would be ideal for us as it means we avoid the in form Argies and will have a very winable game against the Welsh.

Well the final group game is here, lets see how we get on:

Czech Republic 1 - 1 Colombia
A decent draw against a good side, in terms of chances create the game was pretty even, although Colombia did have a lot more of the ball than us. A lot of Colombia's possession was in non threatening areas which we were quite happy for them to have.
We took the lead early on through Vaclav Pilar, who enjoyed a rare start due to us resting a few first teamers. James Rodriguez then equalized with a wonderful long ranged shot.
This result will suit both side, albeit the Czech Republic slightly more, as it secures qualification for both sides.

In the last remaining Group C game, South Africa took on Saudi Arabia, the sides played out yet another draw meaning neither team challenged for the top 2 spaces.

Meaning Group C finished ...

So we end up as group winners!!

Group D
In Group D it was only the Argentina v Wales game that mattered as Holland and Costa Rica were both knocked out with a game to spare. Argentina ran out comfortable winners in the end thanks to a brace from Tottenham star Erik Lamela.

This also brings an end to the group stage of the tournament, lets have a look to see who made it through:

This is the best news for us as it means our first knock out game will be against Wales and we avoid Argetina!! Although Wales are playing very well and even beat the much fancied Holland, i still see this as a very winnable game.

So lets take a look at the draw for the second round:

RUSSIA V BELGIUM
SOLVAKIA V BRAZIL
CZECH REPUBLIC V WALES
COLOMBIA V ARGENTINA
FRANCE V ENGLAND
ECUADOR V MEXICO
CROATIA V GERMANY
USA V IVORY COAST

A couple of decent draws there, England v France is probably the stand out game followed by in form Argentina against Colombia. Hosts Russia have a winnable game against Belgium while ourselves (Czech Republic) face a tough Wales side.

lets see how everyone gets on:

Here we have the line ups for the Wales match, as you can see we've gone back to our strongest possible side following a few of the lads getting a rest vs Colombia. The best news possible for us is that Gareth Bale picked up an injury before the match and is out of the squad and flown back home. Wales seem to putting all their home in Sam Vokes who starts up front on their own. Its now easy to see why Wales have conceeded so few goals in this competitionplaying 4 at the back along with Ashley Williams playing as a sheild just in front. Jack Collison and Joe Allen also primarily play a deeper role.

What a win!!! We're through the next round!

It was a fairly even game with the majority being played in the midfield areas. Wales only managed 1 shot on target all game, probably due to the defensive line up being used and the injury to Garth Bale which ruled him out. Vaclav Kadlec is the man who bagged the winner in the 71st minute following good play down the left hand side from Krejci.

Lets see how everyone else gets on:

So wins for host nation Russia is a big plus for the whole tournament with the local support. Fairly straight forward victories for Brazil (against Slovakia), Argentina (against Colombia) and Germany (against Croatia).
Also good wins for England, who are in fantastic form, and Ivory Coast who beat U.S.A in an evenly match game. Mexico also got the win over Ecuador in a seven game thriller in probably the game of the round.

After these results, the draw for the Quarter final also took place:

RUSSIA V ARGENTINA
BRAZIL V CZECH REPUBLIC
ENGLAND V IVORY COAST
MEXICO V GERMANY

Yeah pretty although Brazil arent on great form and have struggled throughout.
No news yet! Still got a transfer embargo so constantly missing out on good signings! It'll be tough to strengthen the squad properly.
