Sir. Frank de Boer - The different 4-3-3 formation

Welcome, and enjoy this tactic!

The tactic has two versions, because I want to win every single game and that is not possible with a subtop club in the Champions League. That's why I created a similar tactic with a counter philosophy. I began with creating a 2.0 version, which I will also upload for you. That is the base of this tactic thread.


Tactic help
Opposition instructions - Yup. Implemented in the tactic.

Pre-season - The pre-season is important to let your team suit the tactic. Make sure you play a lot of friendlys. I play in every 5 days 2 games, and I select always the longest pre-season.

I don't have the players for the tacticroles - If you don't have the players for the roles the tactic has, switch some roles and see how it works out. That's not a crime!

The formation
The formation is based on the Ajax philosophy. Alright, I know, Ajax' is using a 4-3-3 formation but this tactic is still a 4-3-3 formation and does play like the Ajax way with lots of possession, shots and dominating. And there is a 4-2-3-1 formation tactic. The left is the 3.0 version and the right one is the 4.0 version.

I hope that every opposition player has opposition instructions. As it has to be!

Make sure you set both tactics in your slots because it makes you less predictable if you switch between tactics. :wub:

You don't get it. In-match it plays like a 433 to me. I am an Ajax fan and this is how I see Ajax. When I play the two AMC as a CM they walk too little deep in striker positions and come to get the ball what I don't want to. My DM needs to set-up the attack.

Second part, I tweaked the tactic to make it work for Ajax. Even against stronger opponents it work for me, with a standard squad.

Thanks for that update, but doesn't say a lot. I will do a test with another team.

I think I should change AM ( S ) ... Because defence is so weak....
