Im in my 5th season with Blackburn now and I have found the last 2 seasons that I will either hammer a team 4 or 5 nil, draw 3-3 or 4-4 & if I lose it will be a hammering. Although I have improved every season in league position (promotion, 7th, 4th, 3rd & now about to finish 2nd) I have always found the tactic to be unstable. But using Macca's tweak above for the home tactic my team has come on leaps and bounds. I dont use the away tactic as my current team is pretty strong so I dominate most teams away from home anyway (apart from United!). The only tweak I haven't used yet is changing the Shadow Striker to an Attacking Mid.

I am also about to go into the CL final and I think this is a massive thanks to Macca's tweak!View attachment 317420

Would also like to point out my losses to Liverpool & City was with very weakened teams due to inuries or me resting players.

Right, reckon I've nearly nailed it.

Forget about home and away for the time being. The home tactic was such a brilliant base to work from, I thought again (after a couple of frustrating draws away from home).

So, tweaks from above in home tactic (B2B, AM and remove offside).

Then when you are at home change philosophy to Fluid.

I then thought, if i am confident of the win, regardless of home / away, keep it the same. For games that are now important (cup finals / semi finals / away games to rivals / title contenders / some home games against the very elite like barca / real etc) just change the philosophy to Structured.

This was on the basis that I want less creative freedom in these games, and follow the roles.

Since this tweak I have beaten Bayern away 3-0, Liverpool in the FA Cup Semi 3-1. Give it a blast.

I appreciate your help mate :) Feel free to upload your tweaks when you feel they are done

Going to try a different way of tweaking.. I'm going to watch Full games and take a note were I see things are failing..

The tweaks - is these made on the 1.2 version or the 2.1 version?

One more :-)

You do not apply the below in your structured version?

Away tactic. Change one of the CM(s) to a DLP(s), I usually change whichever one I had changed to B2B in the home tactic. Change the other CM(s) to be a Box to box. Also change the Shadow Striker to to a AM(a).

no tweaks?

No tweaks...

Now i won Fiorentina... won 3-7 away and 2-1 home..

but they did 4 shots in all game to score 3 goals... Match engine...

Semi finals with Braga, time to face a real team, PSG, they have my 82M€ Odegaard

Thanks for those tweaks Macca, I'd been on the hunt for a new tactic and have tried three or four out this evening. I replayed this game three times with the others before trying this tactic with your tweak and had drawn 0-0, 1-1 and won 1-0. On using the tactic with your tweak, this happened with a squad only feeling 'competent' towards it. This was January 2017, my third game as Leicester manager and in a Championship fixture.

Can someone please tell me where is the link for the latest tweak?

Hello.

No, i don't play with an "away" tactic anymore. Just the tweaks to the home tactic I mentioned (CM to B2B, SS to AM and remove offside). I then look at the team I'm playing and If I am worried they might win, I change to structured, or if I'm confident of the win, play Fluid.

Oh, and Merry Christmas everyone :)

When you change a cm to b2b you leave the player instructions the same?
and the AM(with the same player instructions as was the ss?) on support or attack?

the tactics in the first post are the ultimate versions or i need to search the last versions in the whole thread?
