St. George FC complete successful month

"Brilliant," I said to myself as I looked at the date on the bottom corner of my laptop. August, and we've got a 100% record, inlcuding wins against Premier League Sides. I knew we were going to do well, but I was impressed, I was brimming with excitement for the new season.

There'd been brilliant performances from just about everyone in the squad, and the Starting XI had been rotated so alot of people get a feel of the ball before the season.

I'd also had a restructure of the backroom staff. All foreigners were shipped out and a new, improved backroom staff took shape. An experienced, English Assistant Manager was what I needed and I got this in the form of Steve Gatting.

As you can see, a set of results to be proud of. I allowed Steve-o to control the game against Sunderland, to see how the lads did under him. Looks like it was a decent move.

My player of the Pre-Season has got to be Fabian Delph. He's played in the 6 games, claimed 2 Man of the Match awards, finished 3 goals and made 5 assists. Solid from the lad; I knew he'd be key to my plans.

Top Scorer of Pre-Season is Nile Ranger with 5 goals in 5 apperances. He's finished the majority of chances presented to him, and I think he's just claimed the starting strikers slot.

The only downside to Pre-Season is the injury of James Tomkins. But he'll be back in a week or so. I had a word with him about how key he is to the side and he's elated now; but it's true and the lad deserved a lift.

I think we should dominate N-Power League 2. This squad is capable of competing in the Championship, but I guess we're going to have to work our way up.

I took a sip of tea and saw a new email pop up from Pat Rice, Arsenal assistant manager. He's told me they've rejected my £5.25m bid for Jack Wilshere. Unfortunate, but we'll live.

Really enjoying this!

Absolutely top read mate. :)

KIU. :D

such a brilliant idea, just downloaded the db and kits now :)

hopefully you can keep up the pre-season form into the league ;) keep it up :)

Rovers slain as St. George FC roll on

"Wow. I knew we were good, but we could compete in the Premiership." I said calmly to the picture of my mum, my dad and me. It'd been 12 years since they'd died, but I still can't believe it. It's always been a soft spot for me.

I drifted into a daydream, as I remembered life with my parents. Even as a fully grown adult, they were always close to me. I was awoken by the loud buzzing of my laptop. Wretched thing.

But it wasn't wretched news, in fact, it was quite the opposite. Lord David Triesman, Chairman of the Football Association and now St. George FC, had sent me an email regarding the club's finances and recent results.

I spat spilt the remaning quarter of my warm sausage roll onto the floor as I read the mail; it seems Mr. Triesman is actually fairly fond of St. George FC now. He's a powerful ally. And he's a powerful ally who's just injected £5.5m into the club's finances.

Another very pleasing month. The win over Blackburn Rovers is particularly inspiring, the lads were brilliant. You could tell they were playing their hearts out, and they're a credit to themselves when they're in that mood.

Meanwhile, the unbeaten record is maintained and the reputation of the club, of the academy, grows bigger as the days pass by. One day, we'll be in the Premier League, with all of England's best U23 players. One day.

Absolutely love this! Exceptional read and will with out a doubt follow this! Really enjoying it. Going to download the database and give it a go myself but will be more interested in following yours tbh... keep up the good work!!

when is the next update comuing in? :P

When I've got a few more followers I think. Don't know if people are actually reading it. But most likely tomorrow morning.

You can count on me to follow, this is a cracking idea and I wish you the best of luck.

Thanks for the positive comments. If everyone who was following commented with a little bit of feedback, that'd be brilliant. :)

so far so good, but you knew you would destroy that league with these players, right?

Triesman would only let me into League 2.

i.e. it wouldn't be realistic to be let into the Championship straight away, or even League 1.

Great story.by the way do you have a reserveteam and a U18 team?
