Ninety-five. Five more and Vera hit’s the century mark. With just five games left he needs to average at least one goal. Vera (95) would score another hat trick to show that he is our team. Vera would only have four shots this game, but would still manage to get his hat trick with three of them shots on target. The rest of our team have plenty of chances, especially good chances, but nothing seem to fall in. We would have a mix up in communication in the second half on a corner kick as Cantoro was going to come out, but Hernandez stepped up to head it out. Cantoro would hesitate for a second and with that the ball would hit Hernandez who was backing off and would head it into our own goal.

Careca (25) is quietly making his way up to a productive season. Not the best season for him especially after he scored 40 goals last year, but did his part as he scored two goals within the first ten minutes of this game as he would just shield the defenders before turning around and blasting his shots in. Vera (96) would get one himself before half time. Fans were surprised and upset that after halftime Vera would already be bundled up since he was taken out of the game. Fans wanted to see another hat trick, but coach Ryan said after the game he wants him rested for the biggest game of the year.

Shocking we actually were heavy favorites on the road for this one. However, we didn’t start out like that as we were very timid on offense in the first half. They would score first and luckily we answered right back with a goal by Galarza (12) off of a free kick. That is what the score would be going into half. Second half it would be the striker show as in two minutes we would score two goals by our strikers Careca (26) and Vera (97). Six minutes later we would put the game out of reach as Vera would be pulled down in the box and Galarza would finally take the PK kick since Vera wasn’t one goal away from a hat trick.

Its only fitting that finishing up league play we have gone perfect and was lead by Vera. “I don’t blame the team. For the last two games we have been terrible in the first half. I think it is cause everyone is excited to be playing again in the finals for the Champs league. Plus we are in the finals of the Spanish Cup that is only the second time. For both games we have been looking ahead, but at halftime we settle down and go back to business.” said coach Ryan. Vera (100) would score first before Bernardo would tie it up right before half. It would take around twenty minutes before we would get the lead back by Hernandez (9) header off of a corner. Still it would be the Vera show as he would score his second one as he shot it thirty yards out and bent it around two defenders and the outreach hands of Eduardo, our goalie for the past couple of years. Vera would be pulled down in the box and would step up and sink it for hitting the century mark in goals this year. Despite the loss Sporting was happy since they have made the Euro Cup for the first time in the last 14 years.

RECORDS ARE KEPT FOR THIS REASON

View attachment 151226

Careca wouldn’t let Vera have all the fun this year breaking records (Most goals in a season, most league goals) as he would still be able to keep one record. Sadly the record he broke wasn’t Vera’s, but Careca’s own record of assists by one so it now stands at 35 in a season.

View attachment 151227

It’s been a long time coming by legend Vera has broken the most appearances in a league game for Alcorcon with the last league game being the game he broke it by. While the new record is at 285, rumor has it that Barcelona wants to get back on track and is willing to pay for the release clause for Vera for 80 million dollars.

View attachment 151228

Not a shocker on this one, but 81 league goals for Vera is now a new team record, and is now the top goalscorer also for the league. Babacar was in second with 36 goals.

View attachment 151229

This award was a shocker. Not only did Vera not win ‘Player of the Year’ he wasn’t even in the top three. Still the winner and runner up was from our team as Careca takes it home this year for the fourth time we have won it with the first time a striker got it. Last year’s winner Galarza was runner up.

View attachment 151230

Everyone knew this was coming, but no one expected it would happen in the first year. Still it would be the first time our team would win this award, even though we finished first in the league four times, we never had the ‘Goalkeeper of the Year.’ Still with only 15 league goals given up doesn’t matter who else was in the running since he was the best. Still the report was that Cantoro is very injury prone, but played every single game for us this year.

View attachment 151231

They said the only way we would win this is if we went perfect in the league. Well that is what we did and crushed the league this year so hands down Coach Ryan was the “Manager of the Year’ and now has won it six times during his career.

I think we are unstoppable. Well at least for this season. And yes before the rumors start a brushfire I will tell you the truth. Right now a team has came to approach us on one of our players. I don’t want to get into details yet since it is just talking. From what the board as told us that they have talked about paying us the release clause of 80 million dollars for him. As of now nothing is final and the player stated he wanted to stay with us. The board said if it does turn worst that we would be looking for another player for his position.” said coach Ryan as he just wanted to celebrate with his team for winning the double. Careca (28) would open up the game for us in the ninth minute and then closed it out for us with one minute into stoppage time. That would be all that we needed in this one as they only scored once. Still our team wasn’t happy with a 2-1 win and Sepulveda (1) would score his first goal while playing with us and Jose (3) would add one more from a free kick.

Champs Final Arsenal 1-0 ‘Can anyone score a PK?’

It would be the rematch of the Champs league Final the last time we got there three years ago. Last time we won 2-1 and like that year we did the treble we do it once again barely. Vera (101) would be the only scorer in this game and it would come early on in the fourth minute. They had the chance to tie it with a penalty kick, but Sanchez would be blocked by Cantoro as tried to go to the high right corner. We would be able to give us some breathing room in the second half as Vera would be pulled down in the box. Galarza would step up and go to his left side. The fans knew this, the goalie knew this, but the goalie couldn’t get other there in time, but it wouldn’t matter since Galarza would kick it too far as it sailed past the post. With Vera’s goal is all we need as we pulled out the win. A news conference would be set up for a week later for Alcorcon which only means that a player was sold or that a player was bought.

LEAGUE STANDINGS

Barcelona and Real Madrid still have nothing on us as we were perfect this year. We scored an amazing 132 goals in the league and Barcelona tried their best to play like us since they were the only team over the century mark as they had 115. Finally had the lowest conceded goals in the year and the only team under 20 as the closest person too us was again Barcelona who had 31. We blew out the league as Barcelona was twenty-three points away. Its now official that the team has sold someone, but that they won’t say until the press conference.

Finances

View attachment 151237

$25.49M is a good way to end the year. Of course most of the money we won went to bonuses and salaries, but it now moves us up to $130M in our balance. Coach Ryan has gotten the green light to bring in some younger faces, but not for first team but for our under 19 squad to boost that squad up.

Selling two players, one is a striker, oh no!

Apparently it is not good to win ‘Player of the Year’ for Alcorcon. We had have three winners and all of them have basically been sold after one year of winning it. Granero was the first and he won it two straight years before being sold for money. Last year was Galarza and he was runner up who is still on the team. Still just with the two people sold we made $120 million dollars.

Careca won it this year and he would be the striker who was sold, and not Vera, as he joins Man City as they pay $80 million dollars for him. That would be the highest fee we ever received for a player as the previous record was $74 million for Marcelo who went to another EPL team in Arsenal. He would be on our team for four years and in that time made 128 league appearances and scored 89 goals. He is still young which is upsetting at just 26 years old, but we did get a ton of money from the sale.

The next play we lose has been a staple on our team and had a break out year last year for us playing wide of Vera at the attacking midfield as Miguel Teixeira was sold as his released clause was met by Real Madrid for $40 million. He would be on our team for one more year, five years, than Careca. He would play in 162 games for us and would have 41 goals (12 this year and 13 last year), and 48 assists.

Coach Ryan splashing the cash around

Coming into this year the most we every spend on a player was $28 million for Sepulveda who has been amazing for us at the left back position. That record would be shattered in this off-season. Also coming into this off-season we only spend $188 million dollars on 40 people. This off-season alone on just four people we spend $91 million. With that we broke the record for most money spend by $23 million from the previous record of $68 million.

People though we would have a drop off since we loss Careca coach Ryan didn’t waste any time going after the guy he has been trying to get four the last four years. Alessio Di Girolamo was the first to get him before us from A.C. Milan. Barcelona wouldn’t sell him in our price range since they didn’t want us having him. He fell out of favor and would be sold to Inter for $24 million last year and we would come in and get him for $48 million which was half of the cost it was to sell of Careca. Good news is that he is actually a little cheaper wage wise by $75K a week and is only 22 years old. Not as strong as Careca, but is very similar to him. Still we would have to pay him $20 million in bonuses to keep his wage at just $200K.

Very similar to Teixeira, although we think Teixeira was better overall, but he is the player that will be replacing him most likely. He is like the next signing where he can play multiple positions. “Its nice that he can play three of our four positions we have in the midfield. Hopefully we can train him as well to be efficient in the other position as well.” Still he was an expensive transfer as he would cost $25.5 million dollars, but coach thinks it’s a good buy since he is only 21 and has at least ten solid years left for him.

Probably our best signing in the offseason. While Di Girolamo is the best player we signed it will be Stuckler who is more valuable since he can play both attacking positions and striker as well.“ We were surprised that we wouldn’t have to pay that much, and only had to shell out $13.5 million for him. He is already a starter and is just 20 years old so we have some youth for our team.

Got him very cheap at just $3.9 million, but he isn’t ready for starting since he is only 17 years old. He will be ready in three years when Galarza gets close to 30 or 31 years old. Still he is on our senior squad for cover at the attacking positions if anyone gets injured or if we have fatigue problems. He can only play on the right side so we will be training him to be equally well on the left.

NEW SPONSORSHIP DEAL

We wouldn’t double from the previous shirt deal like the last two times. Still its $1.75 million more than before and we are getting closer to the double digit mark as the new deal is worth 3 years at $8.75 million. Still means we are not the highest deal in the league, but we are inching closer to dethroning Real Madrid for that top spot.

RICHEST CLUBS

We move up this year as we are getting closer to being one of the richest clubs in the world. We are now the fourth Spanish team in the top 10 as we move ten spots from 17th to now 7th. Very nice to see we are making money especially since we did the treble we now have $422 million.

BEST XI

Of course the two starters we sold are the only people we lost. Still that means that Jose will be playing more this year, plus we have the new players and Mariano to crack into that list. The second picture is the Best XI overall. Shockingly is that Eduardo isn’t our top goalkeeper, and that Cantoro didn’t even make the list. I know its been only one season but still. Out of the starting XI we currently only have four players still on the team. Good news is that the new guys the last two years are young so they should be on the team for a couple of years so they should be moving into these spots.

TV RIGHTS, are you serious?

I have to show a picture of this. Last year was around $60 million or so and now we jump up $100 million this year to put it at $165M. I would love to be able to tap into this cash, but oh well at least it will make our clubs worth rise. The media might have had something to do with that since after a perfect season and selling off two starters they have us are the clear favorites with 2-1 odds and then next with Barcelona at 3-1 followed by Real Madrid at 5-1.

Vera looked like the off-season has slowed him down since he seemed to rush all of his shots. Still one man’s loss is another man’s gain as Jose (2) would get both goals off of rebounds that the goalie blocked from Vera. Even though they scored we are feeling confident as we picked up the win away and last year we didn’t loss at all at home. We did have two players out on international duty which means the lineups will change for the next game.

I don’t know what to say other than it’s a new year and last year is now over.” said coach Ryan as they lose for the first time in the Super Cup and their home game streak is now over. All we had to do was allow them one goal and we would of won. Problem is we would allow an own goal after they would have their fist as Giovannelli would hand the game on a platter to them. Still despite them scoring two is that we couldn’t score at home and looks as if the new guys are having some problems adjusting to our style of play.

THIRTEEN YEARS IN THE MAKING

View attachment 152019View attachment 152020

I know we been talking about this especially heavily for the last two years, but it is finally year. We had almost a sell out crowd at home in our new stadium as 23,750 fans came out to see the loss. Also it meant with more people we got more money. Still haven’t broken the million dollar gate receipts, but we are getting closer as we received $700K from the game. Wow that is a lot of money for our club, and coach Ryan and the Board are loving it!

Champions League Group Stages are set

View attachment 152021

We are in group G this year and surprisingly enough we have Inter as well, who Di Girolamo was on last year. That will be our toughest challenge and we might not be able to breeze for first in our group. Still the other two teams (AZ and Dinamo Buc.) should be no worries so no matter what we should advance easily especially since we won it all last year.

We looked like last years team winning games when the games counted. We started off like this year as we would give up an early goal in the first five minutes. Luckily for us we would score one before ten minutes would run off the clock as new striker Di Girolamo (2) would get a rebound goal. Still they would score just a couple minutes later to take the lead and that would stay until half. Second half it would be fan favorite Vera (1) to finally get back on track as he would get his fourth shot to go in. After regulation we would be tied, so extra time we would come. We are very good when it comes to extra time in the past and this time it wouldn’t be any different as it would take fifteen minutes before we would find our goal as Di Girolamo would score his second goal of the game to give us the win and three million dollar prize.

Still after the overtime win Vera was tired and I am not going to risk an injury in the first game of the year to a team we should of beat easily.” said coach Ryan with the benching of Vera for the league opener. It wasn’t that pretty of a game, but we got our shutout. Di Girolamo (3) didn’t waste long to score his first league goal for our club as it happened in the tenth minute. The next two goals would be scored by Galarza (2) as he got both of them from the penalty spot as one was in the first half and the other was in the second.

Not much to really say about this month. We only played one game which is why we are sitting in eight place, but we manage to be in first place after next month since we look to be as strong or even stronger than last year. Although we still have some chemistry issues with our new players. Still despite that and having Vera sitting out we still posted a shut out our first game.

Finances

View attachment 152033

Normally, and when I say normally we will go with the last eight years, this month would be between $8-$11.5 million dollars we would make. Of course we would always be in the profit with the $10 million dollar bonus for making the group stages and then if we won the Euro. Super Cup we would get an extra $3 million. This year with the new stadium we are already seeing a new change in money since we made a profit of $29.72 million. This could be the start of the first year of where we are in the positives of every month! Still we did get an extra four million this month for loaning out one of our midfielders (Mazinho) to another Spanish team though. Also for the year last year in our close to 13,000 stadium for this year we have already sold 11,053 season tickets.
