Spanish top 3 - Barcelona, Real Madrid...and A.D. Alcorcon?

OFFSEASON

PRESS: “How do you feel that the Board has decided to put you in a hole at the end of the season with building a new stadium with the addition of the earlier in the year of youth and training facilities?”

ADAM RYAN: “I think its fine. I mean we needed a new stadium. Although I would of liked it to be double of what we have, but I guess we can work with that. Should at least be able to now have a higher payroll. Some fans I know are upset that they didn’t name the stadium after someone, but just Alcorcon stadium which is kind of sad since it doesn’t really make our team stand out. Still will take two years to build so hopefully that’s all it takes and their isn’t a delay.”

PRESS: “How does it feel that finally Spain has become the best league to play in? Does it come at the expense of you losing to Barcelona in the finals of the Champs league?”

ADAM RYAN: “I don’t think with us losing. We are the best team overall in the world so its not that uncommon that we shouldn’t be first. I think it says a lot. Sure we would of liked to win the Champs league as well, but it wasn’t in the cards. Maybe next year though we can win it all if we make it back. It was tough losing our first finals. Still was bitter-sweet to end the season with that lost, but with us going undefeated in the league.”

PRESS: “You let go Iago and Lisitsa after their contracts ran out. They were the oldest guys on your team at 32 and 31. We know they were bench players, but you also sold four players with three of them being starters. How big will that affect your team going into the new year? Plus is this cause of the 31 million dollar loan your Board took out to help pay off?”

ADAM RYAN: “Well means we won’t go perfect in the season. We definitely took a hit in the midfield though so now we are really short there. Cristian Bagnoli (26 year old ST) was sold since we wasn’t getting much playing time, and we wanted to free up space for Torres to get more playing time. With the three starters we sold helped us stay well in the black and yes I would like to pay off the loan in a year so we can go back to making a profit. I don’t like that we have to pay money for over 10 years on something we can pay off. Jean-baptiste Georges was a defender we could get rid of and doesn’t really hurt since he was cover for the first team. I really wanted to keep Yaya Sanogo (27 year old AMR/ST), but the Board felt close to 30 million was too good of an offer to turn down. Last was Rodney Genes (23 year old MC/AML) who probably hurt the worst. His salary was only at 5,000 a week but was in his last year of his contract. He would only resign with our team for the lowest at 185K and wanted to be one of the highest paid person on our team. We didn’t want to spend close to 500K between him and Careca so we decided to let him go for 20 million. Cristian Aragon (26 year old M/AMC/AML) would be sold by the board after Inter paid for the 35 million release clause for him.”

PRESS: “You did go out and sign four new players though. They are quite young and do you feel that anyone will be able to fill in the shoes of the departed?”

ADAM RYAN: “I don’t think they can come right in away and replace anyone. I do feel in like two years they will be fine and we won’t have to worry about them being the weakest links. Although they will have to be plugged into our team often this year. Mazinho and David are the two most ready to play. Jose looks to be cover for the midfield if we have any injuries. Gibson if a person we can ease along since we have the two best strikers in the world.”

PRESS: “With all the money you made from transfers last year do you feel like you can spend some money on a top of the line midfielder or another good defender for cover since all the people you have signed this year have been on free transfers.”

ADAM RYAN: “I like our team. Sure the new guys are a little young and raw, but we have ability to not really rush them along this year. I don’t think we need to buy another defender, but if it comes down to it we might have too. Right now I am not looking for anyone and I don’t really want to spend any money really on players cause I would like to see what this team can do. Next year hopefully after we pay off the loan we can look at how our team did and if we need someone then we will spend some cash to get them. As of now I feel we are fine with what we have. Also if we do need to pick up anyone we will do so in the January transfer window.”

PRESS: “Back to the losing of the players. Georges, Genes, and Sanogo all were on the Best XI last year with an average of 38 games. Plus you lost your second leading score in Sanogo (130 goals in 227 games) so do you feel you will have to be changing up your formation this year to help ease in the new players?”

ADAM RYAN: “I don’t think so. We have 8 other players who have played over 100 games for our club, or well Careca will be there after nine more, so we should be fine. Actually we won’t be changing our formation. If anything we might move back to our 4-2-2-2 formation, but not starting a new formation from scatch. It should be an interesting year. Also we still have Vera and Careca so once people start to figure out how to slow them down we will be in trouble. Until then we have to be favorites in the league.”

Would be missing three starters due to international play and we actually did well without them especially when one was Vera. We didn’t get a lot of chances on goal with some of the new guys and we had two new players at midfield. Still they couldn’t score although they kept rocketing shots at us and would only score when we fouled them in the box. Only one of those fouls would be red card while the other would just be a yellow. Even with a man down for the last 60 minutes we did only lose by two.

Even with Vera back it wouldn’t make a difference. Or if Vera would of scored a goal it would have been the game winner. Still a goal from Careca (1), Teixeira (1), and an own goal by Pique wouldn’t be enough as they would score one goal to give them the win on away goals. “Despite the loss overall we still showed that we haven’t dropped off that much especially after selling off some players in the off-season.” said coach Ryan who seemed to be pleased after both games.

Vera would finally back on track and just as the season started as he would shoot a twenty yard shot. Hernandez (3) though would be the star as he scored two goals off of set pieces. Could have had a hat trick on a corner but it was cleared off the line by a defender. Celta had a couple of chances, but none were on target as we eased to a shutout victory.

Only one game played in the league this month, but something did happen that has never happened before in La Liga since Alcrocon has been up. First time that there hasn’t been a tie. Also shocking that Hernandez already has three goals on the year and is leading the team in scoring in the league with two goals.

As in Champs League we got a very easy draw for group stages so we should be getting out of there once again. We however fell in the odds of winning it as he are now the sixth best team to win the cup. Still we have the money if we need to boost our team up to get back to the finals.

Sure we made money which is always a given since we got the 10 million for getting to group stages of Champs league. Still we will have to wait until next month, but even without the money from group stages that we would of actually made money a month. Unheard of for sure, and our salary is low enough that could it be we will actually make money a month without even the new stadium?

They would take the lead half an hour in on a counter attack. We really didn’t look like our normal self’s in the first half except for the last five minutes. Vera (2) would score on our own little counter in which he would take on the last defender. Would easily breeze by him and one-on-one with the goalie the advantage will always go to Vera as he would slide one pass for the goal. In stoppage time we would get another goal as Vera would be near post and flick it back to the far post where Hernandez (4) would head it right over the defender on the post to give us the lead. It looked like it would be a tie as we would give up a quick goal in the second half, but Teixeira (2) would score as defenders would let him stroll in as they were more worried about the strikers as he would get the through ball for the easy score.

EXCELLENT TO THE TOP

With our facilities now finished from last year we can now boast top training facilities and now an excellent youth facilities and youth academy. The only worry now that we have is that Youth Recruitment is just fairly basic so we now know what we need to work on for the next couple of years.

We would have 65 percent of the possession yet we would barely escape with a tie as Careca (2) would score just six minutes before stoppage time in the second half. We would get some help as they would pick up a red card in the 63rd minute, but an own goal right after half would cost us two points in the first game of the group stages. Still the worst news would come that we would lose Jose for 2-3 months with an injury that he picked up during the game.

Again we would give up an early goal in the second half to end the shutout, but it didn’t matter as we would still outscore them in the second half as we scored two goals. Both Galarza (2) and Careca (4) had two goals apiece in this game as Hernandez (5) would still be the leading scorer for our team as he would head one in off of a set piece.

Vera would go down with an injury in the 25th minute and had to come out. Home fans were stunned about it and was worried it would affect the scoring. It wouldn’t as Gibson (1) would score just six minutes into the game to get things started. That would be the only score of the first half, but the fans weren’t worried since we haven’t lost in the last year when we been up at half. Second half Careca (5) would tie Hernandez for the top goal scorer on the team in the 60th minute with Teixeira (3) adding the last goal to give us the shutout. Fans feared the worst about Vera and it wasn’t good as he will miss 2-3 months with a torn hamstring.

ZENIT ST. PETERSBURG

For what looks to be one of a few teams that Alcorcon will be setting up a link with Zenit to put their foothold in Russian youth. Plus they have a good team that they can get first option to buy people, so if we do need someone they will be better than the Crew since they most likely already have their EU card.

Most fans thought our scoring chances would get smaller without Vera in. Still he isn’t the leading scorer this year as Careca ( 6) and Hernandez ( 6) are and both scored in the game. Giovannelli looked to score his first goal off of a corner, but instead of heading it in a corner he let it go over right to the feet of Hernandez. Galarza (3) would score on a penalty shot in the first half to give us a 3-0 lead at half. Gibson (2) would get his second goal in consecutive matches in which shows that we do have some very good depth at striker since he is actually fourth on our depth chart.

For the first time ever for our team we would actually tie the first two games in the group stages and now we have some fans worried. We should easily have six points and it looks as if Vera is hurting us more here than in the league. Their first red would come in the 19th minute and we would actually have the lead halfway through the first half on a Teixeira (4) goal. He should have had a second one, but it was barely ruled offsides which should of stand. Still our red card would hurt us since it was in the box in the 41st minute so they would tie it up before half. Again a quick goal by them in the second half would give them the lead until the final fifteen minutes when Galarza (4) would score to save us a point. “Its disappointing. We would easily be in first place right now, and now we are trying to battle just for a spot to the knockout stage.” Still we would lose another striker for a couple months with Torres missing 3-4 months with a torn calf muscle.

We officially took first place outright in our last game of the month against Athletic as Barcelona result was a tie. So again we sit in first with a perfect record and only had one close game so far which was against Real Madrid who is in seventh place right now. Don’t worry they will soon climb up the ranks and will be fighting with Barcelona and Atletico Madrid to knock us off the pedestal. While it might be shocking that Hernandez is tied for first in scoring and second on the team in the league its actually more shocking that Galarza and Teixeira already have four goals. They barely or didn’t get to double digits last year so its good that they are scoring goals especially with Vera out for a couple of months.

In two games of Champs league we have already given up as many goals as we have in the five league games. It’s a little scary to think so especially with two starters out and missing another one for two more games cause of a red card. Also we are not scoring like we normally do so as soon as we start to get all the pieces in place, don’t know why we score with ease in league and then have a drought in Champs league. Next month will be a sign to see if we can advance or not out of the group stages.

If anyone thought we would shut them out was laughed at. Despite playing at home and without three of our starters the odds of us actually winning decreased a lot. “Honestly I was worried about this game. I was afraid playing one of the top teams in the league while we were hurt would finally catch up to us. Again our team shows that we don’t lose at home and despite the injuries we are like an injured animal. We are still very dangerous and will keep fighting until someone finally puts us down. This game the players wouldn’t want to be put down.” They would actually score a goal in the first minute but it was called offsides. Hernandez (7) would get back in the scoring again off of a set piece where the ball would float over the wall and he would get his big melon of a head on it to deflect it to the corner of the net. Careca (9) wouldn’t let Hernandez have a chance to be the top scorer as he would score the insurance goal in the second half from a blast that would go past two defenders and the goalie to the top left corner.

We would pull him out in which some of our fans were upset since he was one goal away from a hat trick. “We have a bunch of games coming up so we need him to be rested. League and ECC Standings

View attachment 139372View attachment 139373View attachment 139374

Our first loss now moves us in a tie with Barcelona for first its just we are ahead on goal differential by four. Barcelona is now the lone team without a loss in the league as well. Not only have we scored the most goals in the league so far, and without Vera for most, that we also are tied for giving up the fewest which is five right now. That would be good to be tied for first with three other teams (At. Madrid, Sevilla, and Getafe). Normally we would have two people over ten goals in the league right now, but with Vera out the question is who will be second in scoring in the league. Right now its Hernandez just four away while Galarza and Teixeira are each just six away.

We are back in first place for our group stage in Champs league, but a loss will hurt us a lot and some fans are questioning that we might not even make it out of the group stages. Good thing that most of our games are a home for the second leg so we do have a break there.

Team didn’t want to start a losing streak for than two so the goals started to pile up with four of them coming off of set pieces. Hernandez would finally share the wealth on corners as he set up Giovannelli (1). Really didn’t look like it but the header would be deflected and he would be able to scoop up the lucky bounce to him. Galarza (5) would set up Hernandez (8) off of a free kick. Also David (2) would also score off of a free kick in the game. Galarza would get three assists in the game and with two minutes left would score his own goal off of a set piece. Mazinho (1) would score his first off of a set piece in where Galarza would beat the keeper but not the post as he would collect the rebound for the easy goal.

Galarza ( 6) would be the other scorer in the first half as he had a nice free kick to score that the goalie would get a hand on but couldn’t knock it over the post. He would have a chance to score from the PK spot but again would go low left which would be blocked this time by the post. The last goal came from a penalty kick since Galarza missed his last two chances and this would give him a hat trick in which he would easily hit it. We have had some tough competition the last couple of games and morale kept dropping as well as games also. We would come out firing on all cycliners although Careca (19) would be the only one who would score the first three goals. An own goal by Cororninas to stop a diving header by Giovannelli on a free kick would give us a comfortable 4-0 lead at half. Careca wouldn’t be done as he would score one more to start the second half and then Teixeira ( 6) would score off of a cross to head home the last goal of the game. The injury bug would show its ugly head again as he lose another striker for three weeks as Gibson ends up with a fracture arm.

Tied for second, but are sitting in third place in the standings. Still just three points from first, and the scary news is that we got back Vera and Jose from injury. That should be enough to help give some people a break or at least let Galarza or Teixeira in the midfield since they play like every game. With Vera injuried Careca is trying to do his best to score at least a goal every game (19 goals in 20 games). Still only Hernandez and Careca have double digits, but depending on when Vera will be fully healthy it seems that either he will break that mark either this month or next.

We lucked out that Wolfsburg actually lost to Anderlecht (though it was a tie) but we are sitting actually five points ahead of them so when we do play Wolfsburg for our final game the outcome isn’t that big of a deal. Although we would like to finish first in our group stage but we need a little help and we won’t get it from Anderlecht who just won their first game. Still only OM and us have two wins so there is still a slight chance.

Teixeira (7) would score in the first minute to show our group that we are the number one seed for a reason. That would be all the scoring in the first half, but at least we had the lead. Wolfsburg had a shout out in the second half and their fans started to rumble with the game being tied. Galarza (9) would put us back in the lead with just around ten minutes left. Four minutes later the game would be sealed as finally our strikers would finally click and ended with Careca (20) scoring on a one-on-one. With Vera out he is the first person in the past five years to be the first too twenty goals in the year. With the win it pushes us back into first place to end the group stage.

Ojeda (3) would play in his third match in the last four games and would finally break the scoring barrier as he had a hat trick all in the firs half. It would have to be an impressive showing since Vera is match fitness for next game and he had to show he could belong in the lineup. Galarza (10) would be the third person to break double digits this year for our team as he scored off of a set piece. Mazinho (2) would score a goal as well in the first half, and would have had a second goal, but the defender would get a piece of it to try to clear it. He would clear it past his goalie not by the post as it would go down as an own goal.

We would start the game like we did the second half of last game. Scoreless and not very smooth transitions from defense to offense as we would go into half scoreless. In a twenty minute stretch from 50th-70th minute got exciting. They would score first which would finally make us up, although we outshot them 24-13, and would have the answer just six minutes later as Vera set up Careca (21). David would score just seven minutes later with an own goal to give them the lead back. Still Galarza (11) would pick up the equalizer four minutes later as the cross to Vera would be too long. Also is the third straight game he has scored a goal. That is how the game would end and with the win we would of moved back into first, but with the tie we are now tied for first with Barcelona.

Vera (3) would finally make it back on the score sheet with his second game back from injury. “He is a little rusty for missing two and a half months, but he is still pretty good. Only thing he is lacking is the pace and the speed of the game. He will be fine in the next couple games and will get back on track so I am not worried about it. Also it doesn’t really affect our play any since he has been here forever it seems like and is one our leaders.” Careca (23) doesn’t want to give up the scoring title to him so he scored the other two goals in the game as we posted our first shutout in four games. He did lose Giovannelli for three weeks with a damage neck jumping for a header late in the first half of the game.

With the injuries it is pretty impressive we are tied for first with almost half way done with the year. I know the team is good, but with a bunch of new faces, especially in the midfield, at the beginning of the season is a good thing. We do miss some of our guys especially the scoring from Sanogo. Still this is the team we have now and we have to embrace them. Still our scoring isn’t a problem as we have 51 goals so far with second place having 37 (Barcelona and Valencia). Plus we have only given up one goal a game which is great, but no so much when we have three losses on the year.

In the league for scoring Vera is actually tied for fifth place with three goals in only six games. Still Ojeda has only played in one league game and he also has three. Still Careca is now averaging a goal a game in the league, and Hernandez does have double digits in the league as a defender.

With only one Champs league game this month we actually made a profit due to two of our three games were on TV this month so we got $3.59M in revenue. Sure it was only 80.68K but its good news to be just in the positives.

Did you have any offers from clubs ?

Umm, I actually only loaded up Spanish Leagues to play in cause I probably would of left Alcoron earlier if that was the case. It was just a safety measure for myself to make sure. Honestly I didn't get a lot of job offers. There was a rumor for three years that I was next in line for Barcelona but when they did get rid of the coach I didn't get the offer. Although if I actually applied for the job I would of gotten it. Never got Real Madrid either. I think the jobs were offered were only like three times with the best one being Villarreal which looked good at the time (more money for wages and transfer budget), but it was before my team started to get amazing and wanted to stick with them.

Haven't been offered a job in about four years in the Spanish League, but I do get offers international which I really wanted either Argentina or USA. When I did win the double though I did get an offer for USA. Was so tempted, but was spending a lot of time working on finances and everything that I didn't want to worry about an internation job. Got offered USA and Argentina job (only since I have like half their team anyways) last off-season and decided to still stick with the team. Mostly likely just going to play as Alcorcon though unless I get my finances so good I don't have to spend all my team making sure my team isn't going to bankrupt or not able to complete in the league.

Vera (5) would basically be back to match fitness as we would score both goals for us in this game. Both would come in the first half within five minutes of each other and he still is the master of chipping it over the keeper as both goals happen that way with one coming around twenty-three yards out. Villarreal has dropped in the standings since they been like us as they were hit with the injury bug and still have four people out with injuries when we played them which is why they are so low in the standings. Still it helps us put pressure on Barcelona with the win.

Vera (7) is tearing up the league now that he is back healthy and the question on everyone’s minds is that if he doesn’t get injured again does that mean we have already sealed the league. Sure we are not playing great opponents so far, but we are a far different club now with him back in the starting XI. Again both of us goals would come in the first half, but this time he showed that he still has skill and finesse. The first shot he deke out the goalie and tap in the goal while the next he would rocket around thirty yards away to hit the top left corner of the net as it bent around the keepers outstretch hands. Still he is quite far away from Careca in goals, but Careca is on a cold streak right now.

Actually Vera or Careca wouldn’t score in this game, but late sub Ojeda (4) did score one when he came in for Careca right before stoppage time. It would be the midfielder to see their name on the score sheet as Teixeira (8) and David (3) had goals with Teixeira’s coming off of a rebound. Galarza (14) would have the hat trick. He looked a little selfish out there today as all the free kicks he tried to score off of, and he would succeed twice. The last one he would score would be off of a rebound. Vera looked to score and the goalie made a nice diving save and the defense felt that was the best result they could have since they stopped and didn’t try to clear it which game Galarza time to come in and score his hat trick.

Celta has had a surprising run this year in the league, but there will be no surprises in this game as we wouldn’t take our foots off the petal as we sped past them to see how Barcelona was doing in their game since either team will lose. Teixeira (9) would get things started off for us at home as he would head in a header at the six yard line in which the goalie would get a hand on, but wouldn’t be able to stop it or deflect it over. Careca (24) would be spotted this game as he would score at the start of the second half. He is starting to look a little nervous now since Vera (9) added two more goals this game as he shows that he loves playing in the La Liga.

Vera (11) would show us that he loves playing against the team who didn’t want him as he scored the opening goal in the first ten minutes of the game. This would be the 200th league goal for Vera in the league and while everyone was happy the fans were a little upset that it wasn’t at home. That would shock Real Madrid, but we would give up that goal just a couple of minutes later as Ronaldo scored a goal from the PK. Vera would give us the lead before half with another goal he would score as both came on one-on-one’s in which Vera always wins. Second half just one goal and luckily it was us as Hernandez (12) would head home a header on a free kick to seal the three points for us.

First place is ours game. We didn’t post a shutout every game this month. If anyone though we were going to shut out Real Madrid at their place is just crazy. Still just a shy over halfway through the year we are looking very good and boast still the best scoring attack in the league despite selling off some starters at the beginning of the year and the new guys are filling in nicely. Doesn’t look like we will give up the fewest goals since Atletico Madrid has given up 13! Crazy especially when we have only given up 18 and we are still under one a game.

Careca is still the leading goal scorer, but he is not averaging a goal a game in the league. Still it’s not that big of a deal, but Vera is now averaging one a game (11 goals in 11 games). Its nice to see that Galarza and Hernandez also have at least ten league goals and that it just isn’t our

No Champs league money this month, but we did only lose less than one million. Thank goodness that we are fighting for first since all our games are getting TV time which means we aren’t losing that much. Maybe we should pay Vera like 300K a week since he brings in so much. Still love our salary is low and we can make some money before the new stadium can give us higher wages. Hopefully means we can run with a million dollar wage and still make some money.

Vera would have the best chances and did score twice in the game, but both of those goals would be called off for offsides. Two other shots would be blocked by the goalie barely, but it would be easy scooping for Careca (27) and would add another one for his hat trick today. Galarza (15) would be the last to score as he bent in a free kick on the edge of the box to cap off our scoring as we totally dominated the game. One note was again we dominated, and they only had one shot on target which would result in a goal with just four shots total.

Another road game and this time in a game we were suppose to dominate took a while for us to flex our muscles. Vera (12) would get us on the board, but wouldn’t be until the second half. Galarza (16) wouldn’t score on a free kick like he normally does, but actually got it the old fashion way and blasted one from beyond the box. They would let them have a shout back as we gave up a goal, but with just ten minutes left we would buckle down to still stay in first place.

Three goals in the first half would be all that we needed for the win and now pushes the lead now to four points with a Barcelona loss. Still Careca (29) had two goals in the first half, and Vera (13) had one as well before being one of the players pulled at half. Second half with some of the new players with the lack of fitness our offense didn’t really flow, but it was worth it as we still came away with three points with them only allowing one goal.

Nothing special in this game. Our strikers didn’t have the best times getting shots, or for that matter we couldn’t seem to actually do anything positive in the final third of this game. Still we ended in a tie at their place, and we all know how dominate we are at home so we have the huge edge. Even though we got out shot 13-5 we did dominate possession as we had 61 percent of it. “I think our team was more looking at the next league game than this one. They knew it would be quite a long trip and playing at their place we were favorites so I think it was more of just going through the motions than anything else.

Careca (30) would start the game off right as he is the first person with thirty total goals this year. Vera (14) has some work to catch up too him, but at least they both scored in this game from shots at least twenty-five yards off. Careca is becoming the workhorse and muscles people off while Vera uses his skill and speed to find open shots. One of the few times were we have more games than most teams. If Barcelona wins their next game which we they easily should we are still four point ahead of them. We have some room now in the league to rest some guys to keep everyone healthy and in fit. Still Barcelona has one loss on the year which is very impressive and is usually what we have around this time the last two years.

Vera is now the only person with a rating over 8.00 in league play since we got back healthy and is helping us stroll through the league. Nothing really has changed in stats other than Vera is now second in scoring for our team, but that was to be expected. Galarza has been excellent on free kicks and been scoring goals which has limited Hernandez in his scoring chances so he has slowed down.

It became apparent this year that Sevilla is trying to take the approach of us and poach players off of one team to rise to the top. We did it basically with Real Madrid, and under 19 year olds or over the hill players from Barcelona. Sevilla has three of our players on their team, with one being the Player of the Year twice in Granero and now picked up Sanogo this year who has been a force to keep them in the top four of the league. Vera (16) would open up the game for us at home to give us the lead. It would be a huge relief for our fans to see we can still be dominate at home. Sanogo who is their top scorer and was sad to leave Alcorcon this past off-season would score a goal to tie it up. Vera wouldn’t be done as he would score with five minutes into the second half to give us the lead. Coach Ryan would take out Careca in the 62nd minute since he was tired and only left Vera in just in case he netted a hat trick. It wouldn’t happen as just eight minutes later he would have to be carted off and will miss the next month due to another injury this year. Luckily Sanogo or none of our ex-players could score so we managed to sneak out a win.

Strikers are out of fitness, especially Torres and Ojeda, who was coming back from his injury, which is why we kept rotating our strikers every 45 minutes. Ojeda would get the start and at half it was a nil-nil game in which Gibson would come on since he is eligible to play, is our fourth non EU player on our team. After 90 minutes it would be tied and we would bring in Torres (1) and his fresh legs would give us a goal in the 100th minute to give us what we needed to advance. “I know everyone is trying to make a rivalry out of this game. Years past we were looking for Delac for loan and CSKA came in and bought him so we lost him. Also we have played them three times in at least the knockout stage or later in the Champs League. There is no rivalry since we did send out Eddie Gaven to them. Just the luck of the draw. Another four million month, and the rumors are starting the spread. We have conformation from someone in the front office that coach Ryan is looking to spend some cash after the year, but as of now we don’t know who it is. “Right now we are trying to work out the transfer deal of a guy, but he is quite high so we are seeing if we can get him for a lower price or someone similar for a lower price.”

Champs League Semi Final Leg 2 vs. Chelsea 3-1 ‘Not enough gas in the tanks for the comeback'

Eduardo
Sepulveda--Giovannelli--Hernandez--Rubio
Mazinho----DAVID
Galarza----------------------Jose
Careca---TEIXEIRA

We played great for the first 93 minutes. Then we finally allowed a goal, and that would seal our fate. Even with the new guys I think everyone expected us to get to the finals, so it’s a little sad that we faltered last game when we went into a 0-2 hole. Still I am proud of this team.” said coach Ryan. Hernandez (17) would head one home off of a free kick by Galarza in the fifth minute. Things looked to go our way a little further when they picked up a straight red right before the first half. We would only have that man advantage for 13 minutes before Galarza would pick up two yellows within two minutes to even out the playing field. Still we would bring in Vera (23) late in the second half and he would push us to go into extra time as he scored right before stoppage time. They would open up extra time with a goal in where Careca (35) would respond just four minutes later, but we wouldn’t find the magic to muster up another goal to send us into the finals.

Match 35 @ Xerez (19th, 7-3-24) 3-0 ‘La Liga is ours for the third straight year’

Mazinho----JOSE
Galarza----------------------TEIXEIRA (2)
Careca---VERA

The team didn’t really come out hard to play. Maybe it was cause we were playing a bottom feeder team, or that we knew when Teixeira (16) first goal basically meant we sealed up the league. Vera (24) would score early in the second half as he would just past both center backs for an easy one-on-one with the goalie. Right before stoppage time Teixeira would hurdle the goalie to tap in his second goal of the game.

BEST SPANISH COACH EVER?

View attachment 146631View attachment 146632

Not in the world yet, and not for Spain, but give him another two or three years and then he will be the best coach in Spain. He has a while to become the best coach ever. Still it’s a nice achievement. Coach Ryan had this to say. “It is nice and I appreciate everyone thinking so. I really didn’t have much to do since our Board has allowed me the finances and its been mostly the players who been taking pay cuts the last couple of years to come here and play. I was in the right place at the right time and glad to see Alcorcon grow into the top team in the world.

Match 36 @ Getafe (8th, 16-7-12)
2-1 ‘Bench players starting to make an appearance’

Eduardo
YUSTE--Giovannelli--Hernandez--Rubio
Mazinho----TEIXEIRA
Galarza----------------------JOSE
Careca (2)---Torres

Careca (37) probably has played in his last game of the year since we have nothing to play for anymore and he would give us the win as he scored both goals. They would outshoot us in this one, but it really wasn’t close and got lucky of a deflection to score their game.

Match 37 vs. Almeria (8th, 16-7-13) 1-1 ‘Fans happy we didn’t get shut out’

Eduardo
Yuste--Giovannelli--Hernandez--Rubio
MARCOS----David
CASTANON----------------------LUIS
OJEDA---Torres

Yes some of our players are out of match fitness. Since we didn’t have anything to play for since we already sealed up the league, have over 100 goals as well we decided to let some of our bench play and play the whole game.” said coach Ryan. We would actually score first as Torres (3) would have a nice shot. They would score within the first ten minutes of the second half to end the game in a tie as you could tell which players were out of shape.

Match 38 @ Osasuna (13th, 12-6-19) 1-1 ‘We get by with a little help from the post’

Eduardo
Yuste--Giovannelli--LUIS--Rubio
Marcos----David
Castanon----------------------Luis
Ojeda---Torres

First half nothing really happened. No yellow cards, goals, basically both teams trying to find their footing especially us with our bench playing. Still the first goal would come by us in the second half in the 67th minute as Ojeda (5) would shoot one and would have the post to redirect it for the goal. Still just ten seconds left in the game they would be able to find the tying goal to give us our second straight tie.

LEAGUE STANDINGS

Don’t let the five point lead surprised you. It wasn’t that close of a lead for us over Real Madrid. Despite losing our veteran presence the new guys did well as we made it back to the Semi Finals in the Champs league as well. Still we aren’t back to the top to be one of the scariest teams to play, as that was evident as we lost a home game 0-2 to one of the worst teams in the league and then dropped a game on the road as well. We still had firepower with Vera missing half of the year as we scored 108 goals with the second place team was 92 for Barcelona. Again we didn’t give up the fewest goals as we had 34 goals, but were a top three team as Real Madrid only gave up 28. The second picture is still just the league scoring while the third picture is scoring from the whole year.

Finances

TV revenue from Champs league gave us a ton of money and with all of that puts us just five million short of 200 million in the balance. Surprising enough we wouldn’t pay off the 31 million dollar loan we took out last year for the stadium since we have all this money. Maybe it was cause Teixeira was up for a new signing, which we did sign but closed us around 9 million in bonuses to sign. Plus the board is worried that most of our money, we are estimating that we are going to spend at least 50 million on signing bonus for the new guys for the upcoming year with both Careca and Vera up with three other starters.

OFF-SEASON RECAP

View attachment 146652

We have cracked into the top 20 in the world. No its not European Coefficients since we been first for the last couple of years. This time it is finances. Mostly cause we sold those players last year for over 90 million and didn’t really spend a ton of money this year. We moved from 24th to 17th. Now we have four Spanish teams in the top 20 with Barcelona (1.25B) and then Real Madrid (820M) taking the first two spots. We did splash some cash this off-season on one player, but basically it only cost us three million since we sold off one to make that difference.

We didn’t want to do this, but it kind of just happened. Eduardo had teams asking for the last three years about him, but this year was the first year that anyone made a substantial offer. Although it is nice to see him stay in the Spanish leagues it means now that we will have to face off against him who never got injured and we spend the last couple of years being the top 8 in conceding goals. We were actually looking for a top attacking midfielder, but with us selling our goalie that put it on the backburner and now our main goal. We would find one in our price range and seems to be a little bit better and just two years younger. Although he is one of the higher paid players instead of just 55K a week like Eduardo was making. Still the choice to get him was Vera and the other Argentina’s players on our team since he is also from their.

We would find a cover player for our midfield this year in Dudu. Sadly though he can’t play for at least what looks to be another three years since he is from Brazil and the third spot just went to our new goalie. Still Hernandez should be getting his card this year so that free’s up a spot, although we have three players still without their EU card to pick from (Ojeda, Gibson, and Dudu). Since he is only 19 he might be the best choice to help groom, but with all the injuries to our strikers last year it might be the best to use it on one of those. The other two players who are registered and don’t have it will be up in two years so that is good. We have put up Ojeda and Gibson though for loan to see if they do go out that we can use it for Dudu.

The goalie would push us from finishing second to basically winning the league again since we are now joint favorites with Barcelona, but we always seem to excel what the predictions say. Still it might take a year for Damian to actually settle in, but if he doesn’t and plays the way we think off the bat we should be one of the toughest teams in the league and world for sure.

Thank you. I am trying to hurry up through this year since the Stadium should be built and then I get to hopefully make money a month. Glad you like it. Sorry for the different layouts I used through this and all the congestion. Its quite a lengthy read and looking to change the layout once again to make sure its not a lengthy read.
