Spanish top 3 - Barcelona, Real Madrid...and A.D. Alcorcon?

Thank you. I am trying to hurry up through this year since the Stadium should be built and then I get to hopefully make money a month. Glad you like it. Sorry for the different layouts I used through this and all the congestion. Its quite a lengthy read and looking to change the layout once again to make sure its not a lengthy read.

Well, it's ok for readers if they keep up to date with it....it's abit hard if you're reading from the start like i did, but you kept me interested mate, some very good writing there

First half we still looked like we were in pre-season. We would make all three substitutions at half, and in the end it basically was Vera (3) who will our team to victory. He had a hand in all four goals with scoring three of them. He would be dragged down in the box right in stoppage time after he stole the ball which resulted in a red card and him actually getting the hat trick. Vera would set up Teixeira’s (1) goal as he would cross it right in front of the goalie for the easy tap in as that would give him his 100th assist in his career. After the game Getafe would spend 12 million dollars on a midfielder to bolster up their team to try to compete with the top teams in Spain.

Five starters would get a rest, but when you have a three goal lead its not that worrisome especially when you are playing at home. Teixeira (2) would score for the second straight game to give us the lead and basically seal up the game. Again they would get a weak goal, our goalie being out of position, but that would be the only goal they would score so we cruised to the win with our three goal lead. Galarza picked up another yellow so if we do make it next year he will miss the first game. “For the league getting ready to start I wanted our starters to be fully healthy. Some of them were tired so I decided to let them have a rest and the players who aren’t register to play in a game before they had to sit and watch.

We haven’t heard from Tottenham for a while, but they sure be pretty good since they did grab the two seed. As for the last two games we should easily win those against Ajax and then Lazio. We got a good group to where we can advance again, and the real question is how will our goalie respond to a new team and a new challenge since his old team, Porto, didn’t make Champs league this year.

Careca (1) would get his first goal on the season in the first regular season game to take the lead. Still Vera has the most goals on the year, and he wouldn’t be outdone this game. In the eleventh minute we would have a PK which Galarza would go left like he always does. He would beat the goalie, but not the post. Still the rebound went perfectly to a slicing Vera (5) who would tap in the easy rebound. Right before stoppage time in the first half Vera would use his speed to out run both center backs, and then would run around the goalie for his second score.

One game and we have one shutout. It wasn’t a very hard game or in a hostile environment so we will have to wait to see about the new goalie when we actually do go to one of those. Still we are going to be one of the top teams to beat so this year is going to be exciting to see how it plays out. Already can tell that we should break 100 goals again this year, but now there is excitement with the new goalie we can win some other trophies even if people are injured.

Our player wages has skyrocketed this year. Last year were around 750K or so, and now this year they are just over one million. Still good news is that with the 10 million dollar profit from champs league group stages we actually made ten million dollars. Again we need to see, but maybe tv rights will be able to carry us in the positives for a month.

Vera (7) is healthy and tearing through Spanish teams. In just three games, two league games, he has scored seven goals and would open up the scoring today and would tack on another one just a couple minutes later. Teixeira (3) is the second leading scorer as he basically found out that if he is on the same side as Vera to just trail back a little bit for the kickback or to be in the position for a rebound. Which is what happened in this game as he would be in good position for the rebound shot. Galarza (1) would go back to what he does best and score off of a free kick as he would bend one around the wall about 28 yards out. Yes we know we are only two games into the season, but everyone else in the league as at least given up one goal while we haven’t. Maybe not a big deal for most people, but its exciting times for us to show that it doesn’t take long for new guys to find a place and flourish here at Alcorcon.

After the game we got word that Giovannelli is back from his injury of 13 days that he suffered in training. That’s good since we lost his backup in the game, Rubio, with an injury for three weeks. Still it wasn’t that much to worry about having a guy who will never see playing time unless the timing was right from injuries and/or fitness problems. That would be the case as Redondo came in and we would give up a late goal, but the game was already at hand since we went into half with a 4-0 lead. Vera (9) is really trying to make up for last year, and he didn’t win ‘player of the year’ by the fans, as he would score in his fourth game. Also would continue his two goal mark as well. Teixeira (4) is picking up the slack for Careca who is on a cold streak while Hernandez (1) would score his first on a scramble in front of the net on a free kick as he would be the third and final attempt before the goal.

Vera didn’t score. Hernandez is now fueling with Adam Ryan cause of a contract dispute with the team and Vera, although Vera already signed a new deal so he would get a rest at the beginning of the game. Giovannelli would get the start, but would be tired so at half Hernandez would replace him. With Rubio out we would move David a midfielder to center back, and he can play that position as well. Against three of our old players it looked at if it wouldn’t be a good game for us, but Careca (2) would score as he would muscle off some defenders off of a free kick to give us a goal. That surprising would be the only goal in the game as Cantoro is a force between the sticks for us. They lost their offense firepower as they would pick up a straight red in the 61st minute on a hard slide from behind on Galarza. Luckily no one was injured.

Vera’s (12) would score his hat trick with two of them coming in the first half. Before his third goal though the shutout would end as Bagnoli would push down Vincente to have a one-on-one. Where Vera scores so does Teixiera (5) as he continues to score which he is the fastest midfielder to get to five goals in a year. Jose (1) would get his first goal with us in over a year and a half as he would actually get to take the penalty since he would come in for Galarza at halftime since he was tired. The six goals is the highest all year and still have conceded the fewest with just one.

We are at home and we should of at least won by three. A win is a win, and I will take it anyway how. Remember last year fans and us alike thought we were invisible at home and we lost 0-2 to a bottom feeder team.” said coach Ryan after just a one goal victory. Surprise, surprise we are in first place with a perfect record though two months. What is surprising is that we only allowed one goal while Barcelona has just allowed two. We are still averaging three goals a game despite having two games of a 1-0 win as we are showing that we will not be backing down this year and that the title is ours to lose. Vera is a beast for our team this year as he is the leading goalscorer (7) and assists (5) in league play and is boasting a nice 8.54 rating. We struggled to keep people healthy and fit the first month and a half, but everyone is healthy now so now we will have to make sure that our backups are fit to play when they do come in or start.

Epic story. How do you manage to be motivated to play after 10+ seasons!?

Thanks. Sorry deleted post for some reason since I was going to ask a question and it got stuck in this one. To answer your question I usually start out with lower league teams so usually it takes around 10 years to make it to the EPL, and never really stuck with one with a Spanish League (usually just got to the top for the achievement and then stopped). Using lower league teams so I am use to long saves and this one the only reason why I am continuing is cause the new stadium and figured since I didn't leave Alcorcon earlier that I might as well play a couple more to see how the new stadium is. Plus motivation of finishing off the year with the lowest goals conceded is another reason to play.

Another Brilliant update mate

Thanks. I am glad that some people are still enjoying it even though my team is amazing. Although people are clamoring that I start a new one. If I do start a new one I would still probably continue this one (for at least 5 years) but then would put this one to rest.

Despite the yellow cards their wouldn’t be a lack of scoring for us as we have Vera. Still Hernandez (2) would get a header on a corner kick to start off the scoring for us in the 25th minute. Even with putting all our money for player wages we still have 82 million for a transfer budget. You might think coach Ryan and the Board is pretty much out of their minds buying people since our team has won the league the last two years and we basically have our first team with the backups already filled. Well the player won’t play much, but since he is only 18 he is basically staying on our youth team and will spend the next two or so years grooming before being a sub since he does look good as an 18 year old. Plus we is a Spanish player we took from Valladolid’s Under 19 team and cost us only 2.2 million.

30 goals on the year isn’t so shocking. Either is we are in first place without a loss. Again we haven’t played any of the top three teams yet (Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Atletico Madrid) but we did play Sevilla who is in fifth and beat them. The more shocking thing is that with a new goalie we only have given up 2 goals so far in nine games. Last year we would of given up around 9-11 goals. Most people were shocked to let Eduardo go, but now the fans see that the younger guy is a little bit better. Plus our midfield has finally settled in with another year under its belt (Mazinho, David, Jose) which has given Vera more chances this year.

Still Barcelona, Real Madrid and us don’t have a loss and we have played one more game than those two. Still have a easy month coming up since we don’t have to play either of them, but then in the next month and a half we play them at once and with two of them in back-to-back games. As for Champs league all first legs are compete and we are still sitting in first place. We do have to play Tottenham first so basically if we can win this game we will have sealed a spot to go to knockout stages.

Thanks. If you play around 10 or so seasons you should have a team like mine. It's a lot easier to make money especially in the EPL and you will be able to have a bigger stadium than me so finances shouldn't be that hard for you to do. You know how it was to start with them, and you are doing well with AFC, so I don't think you have much to fret about.

Now the only team undefeated still and we are just blazing through the league. Now just in twelve games we have only given up two goals total that game in two different games. There has been some flip flop between second through fourth, but it doesn’t matter since we have an eight point lead over now second place Real Madrid. Still we played one more game so it can actually be just five points. Still we have to play Barcelona and Atletico Madrid in back-to-back games so that will show how good our fitness and our new goalie really is.

With the win against Lazio it seals up first place for us in the group stage as the next game is meaningless for us, so fans are not going to worry if a bunch of starters get a rest. Which might happen since we do have the two tough league games right afterwards.

As for our league scoring it is pretty much low for most players as only eight players have scored and four of them just have one goal. Still Vera is the leading scorer and has scored 21 times in just 12 games and he should easily break fifty goals in the season.

It looked as if that would be the score going into half, but right before the halftime whistle we would get a confidence spike from Careca (10) as he would bump us back in the lead. While we have played fourteen league games it will be the second person all year to score ten goals for us. In the second half the insurance goal by Vera would basically seal the three points and break their spirits.

Most of our fans were worried about this game. This is our toughest road game of the year especially after most of the starters played 90 minutes last game against Barcelona we though we wouldn’t fully be up for the challenge. That might have been right, but Vera (34) is our shining star as he would lead our team to victory with two goals, and Cantoro would post a shutout away. “Most shocking was we basically played this game like a home game. We controlled the possession and although they had more shots none of them were really threatening while we would just lay patiently for our time to strike, and boy oh boy did Vera strike.

We have lost some of the points in our lead since we are now done to just a five point lead over Real Madrid while everyone else behind us at least lost one game, and Barcelona and Atletico Madrid’s loss was to us. Still we have flip flopped with everyone as they have played one more game than us so if we do win our next game we still have our commanding eight point lead. Luckily we had a couple days rest from our last game against Atletico Madrid to the new game this month. Shockingly though we are not the top goalscorers in the league, and you would think so with Vera’s blistering rate, but we only have 47 as we now trail Barcelona’s 53 and Real Madrid’s 50. Still though everyone has conceded at least ten goals except for us where we only allowed 3 in.

As for the group stage of the Champs league you can tell we are back on track in sealing up first and easily beat everyone other than the one tie. Still going undefeated in Champs is a very good feeling especially since the next round we have to play another EPL team and had our looks at one in the group stage.

With our TV Revenue it shows that we can have our salaries already up around one million without losing four million a month. Exciting news since its now just half a year away from our stadium being complete. Also we will be losing more money next month since Chelsea , who we have to play in the Knockout Stage, is worried about us so they are trying to buy Galarza from us since his contract is almost up. So we made him an offer to see if he will stay with us and rumor is it will be around 3 million with bonuses.

Don’t worry he isn’t a starter, just most of our midfield is tired so might as well play him. First half would be scoreless although it was ugly for us as they out shot us 13-3 in the first half. We would only get four shots in the second half with only one on target. That one shot on target would go in and we score to give us the lead on the away series.

Vera (37) would managed to get a hat trick all in the first half of this game with his third coming in stoppage time. Galarza would get a rest at half since he is been our workhouse of late so when we had a free kick it would be Careca (12) who has the strongest leg in the world. He would prove that point as he wouldn’t try to bend it over the wall, but would blast it at the last guy who would get out of the way and the goalie would get there in time, but couldn’t handle the force as he managed to get a hand on it.

This game would be no different with that score. Again our defense would stop them, and they had the best chances against us (9 on target of just 13 shots), but the back breaker for Real Madrid was when they picked up a straight red card just five minutes after Vera’s score. That took the offense and especially their quick strike away and had to settle for counters. In the second half Careca (13) would add just one more to show that not even the second place team can un-throne us at home.

Sepulveda would pick up an injury in training which meant Marcos started at his position and Jose got a rest since he was fatigue. Still our starters would come through as Galarza (4) would do a low bending shot around the wall on a free kick from twenty-five yards out. It looked to be easily grabbed by the goalie as he dove, but took a bigger bounce than expected and went over the diving goalie for the opening goal. Still Vera (40) would continue his hot scoring on the year as he breaks the forty goal mark which he has down in four of the past five years. Last year he didn’t due to all of his injuries.

We still have able bodies in the midfield, but he was turning out to be a very good player for us. They would score first in the second minute to give us a worry, but it turned out to be the only goal they would score. We already had a one goal lead from the home series so it was already over, but we decided to score a couple of times to show our dominance to the league as Careca (15) and that we are not custom anymore to taking the loss. We would have been fine with a tie, but Galarza wouldn’t be as he would get the next two assists from free kicks. Both were in the second half and only one was to a defender, Hernandez ( 6), with the other going to another midfielder Teixeira (10). Second half he would take over and score two more goals to give him four goals on the day and for the first time all year he scored four in one game. Right before stoppage time they would pick up a straight red in tackling Vera in the box so he wouldn’t get his fifth. That would just set up Galarza (5) as he would calmly place it in the lower left corner for the score. It would be the first time all year that we would give up two goals in one game as well.

Everyone now has played the exact games for the first time all year. Right now we still perfect as we are just two game over the halfway mark. (On a personal note it seems so much longer to me I feel like I should be going into the final month or so). Well it looks as if we should be having the best defense in the league and give up the most goals since we are still in single digits with 5 and the closest team to us is Barcelona who has 16. Trying to take over the scoring lead and are just two away from Barcelona right now.

Vera has scored 38 goals and looks to break his scoring record from the 2020 year of scoring 43 league goals and 56 total goals. One of his records would already fall for the most man of the match awards. Record was 13 and he already has 14 this year.

Plus we would send Ojeda, Marcos, and Gibson all on a season loan to Zenit as well to give them more playing time. With the signing of the guys it bump our losses to just over 10 million and are getting close to dropping under 100 million in the balance (around 113M right now).

Thanks streaky. Since I am normally a lower manager anyways, the biggest team I played with this year is Newcastle (which will be hard to overthrown for best coach ever since my coach their is first on the list and i played around 18 seasons with Newcastle and won everything for like 8 straight years). I hope the stadium helps. I am just curious if I can buy a bigger one at some point or be able to build another one cause I would like one that rivals Barcelona at some point.

This is the best story ever....

Thanks iGary. I am glad you like it. I personally don't think its the best, but glad people like it and are reading it. SPOILER: Will say this is probably one of the best seasons I ever had in a game, or at least one player. Like I said to Streaky and someone else I usually start out as a lower manager so for me to get good it takes around 10 years to do so. Plus I like to build up my facilities (my scouting network is terrible) and usually play until I get my team to be the richest team in the world. So usually means forever it will take especially in Spain. In England its too easy to make a ton of money so this is a challenge for me and that is why I keep going with this save. That and am exciting about at the end of the season I get a new stadium!

In the end it would be Vera (81) who couldn’t be stopped in league as he would add yet one more hat trick to this collection for this year as he breaks another barrier of scoring over eighty goals in a year and still has at least ten more games to play. Also the goal against us puts us finally at 10 for conceded goals for the year.

Champs Quarter Final Leg 2 vs. Inter
3-0 ‘Vera to miss next champs game’

With another shutout at home all we needed was one goal to advance to the semi finals. We would have to wait until six minutes before half before we finally got it as Hernandez (8) would score a header off of a corner. Eleven minutes in the second half Vera (82) would score to keep his scoring streak alive and added some insurance if they did score. Still Vera would pick up his second yellow so he will miss the first game against Barcelona in the semi’s which isn’t a good sign. The game would be put out of reach as Teixeira (15) would score on a counter with just three minutes left in the game.

Ben Franklin had a famous quote about life. ‘Only thing certain in life is taxes and death.’ Well apparently our fans have picked up on the American culture of the coach and some of the ex-players and came up with their own saying. ‘Playing against Alcorcon you are certain to be shut out and Vera scoring a hat trick.’ Of course that isn’t always true, but of late it seems like it is.” said coach Ryan. Careca (19) opened up the game in the first minute as Vera would slice through the defense and then lay it off to Careca for the easy score. That would be Careca’s 15th league goal which meant he hit his clause to where he will get a nice 2.7 million dollar bonus from the new contract he signed earlier this year. Vera (85) would be the talk of the game once again as he scored a hat trick. Teixeira (16) would add one himself to give us our five goals on the day. Barcelona scored six in their game to now be the second team to over 100 goals on the year.

We would pound them with shots in this game as we had a season high 33 shots in this one. We would manage to only score four goals with Vera (88) picking up another hat trick. It would take into stoppage time to get it and Galarza was nice enough to allow him to take the penalty shot once again to get his hat trick that came in the first minute of stoppage time. The first two goals for Vera he would actually be rebound shots. Strangely enough Vera was trying to blast it past the goalie like Careca does instead of placing his shots which is why the first two were blocked and came right back to him for the rebound. Careca (20) is starting to turn it on now as he hit’s the twenty mark. Sad news is that we lost another midfielder, David, for the year since he is out for a month and half.

All three goals would be scored by us as one would be an own goal. Cantoro would score it as he would try to carrel the ball and it would just squirt though him and trickle into the net. Barcelona would use both center backs to slow down Vera and they would completely shut him down. Problem was all their efforts were to slow him down which they would completely shut him down, but it just left to him getting to assists as he would let Careca (22) do all the scoring in this game. With the win we the league for the fourth straight year. Also this is just the first game we play against Barcelona as we face them two more times in the next three games.

Not a bad game. Should have been a tie, but oh well. Surprising with five starters taking a break or suspended for this game and having two other players trying to get back into match fitness I felt we did a great job. They scored on a PK which wasn’t a penalty at all, and then at the end in stoppage time our team was just tired and lost a little concentration.” said coach Ryan after the game. Still he is confident since the second leg is at home and we will have Vera back for that and hopefully everyone will be healthy for that. Plus we got dominated, but we basically had eight people back at all times in this game.

Althetico Madrid saw what Barcelona did to Vera so they decided to perfect what they did. They would try to counter while using both center backs to spy Vera and then moved a defensive midfielder to stick with Careca. It would work for 89 minutes of the game. The one minute it didn’t was the start of the game where Vera would dribble through everyone and then pass it back to Galarza who then kicked it up to Careca (23) who scored on the first shot. Other than that their tactic would work defensively, but the counter attack didn’t work for them. For the first attack after halftime we would score again as Galarza (9) would loop one over the wall for the score as we post another shut out and still remain perfect in the league.

I don’t even know what to say. I guess it was good for him to get a rest for the first leg cause he had the legs in this one and he just ran around everyone. If he doesn’t win every award this year I don’t know what you would have to do to win it.” said coach Ryan after they move on to the finals for the first time in three years in Champs league on the feet of Vera (92) would find his goal scoring ability and snap his two game scoreless streak. Galarza (10) would be the fourth person on our team to break double digits while two of them are still around the 10 goal mark. Teixeira (17) would go wide right of Vera and Vera would take a light shot on goal as the goalie easily dove to get a hand on it, but it would go right where Teixeira was for the rebound. Also this is one of the biggest wins we have ever had against Barcelona.

LEAGUE STANDINGS

View attachment 151041View attachment 151042

We have already won the league and we are tops for goal scoring (118) and conceded goals (11). The perfect year continues as Vera destroys the league and no one can seem to slow us down on offense. It’s good to see other teams who have bought our players are fighting for the Euro Cup as Sporting and Sevilla are in 5th and 6th place respectively. The real question is can we finish the year perfect, but do have to play Real Madrid still.

Finances

Close to five million dollars ($4.97M) this month is a good sign. Since we did win in Champs League means we will be making even more month the last month since we are in the finals and will get paid for our tv rights.
