I made an account just to react in this discussion, I was looking for a new tactic. I tried out all 3 of the new ones in a holiday mode for current season with Ajax. Here are the results:

Kung Fu 442 v4
Won the league: 32 wins, 2 draws, 0 losses
Won the cup
Champions League group stage ended 3rd with 8 points, behind Juventus with 9 and group winner Man United. Man United went on to win the Champions League.
Won the Europa League while knocking out teams like Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspurs
Kung Fu 4123 v2
Won the league: 28 wins, 6 draws, 0 losses
Won the cup
Champions League ended first in group stage with 15 points, above Juventus and Borussia Dortmund.
Then lost first round against Liverpool, which got knocked out a round later
Kung Fu 4141
Won the league: 27 wins, 3 draws, 4 losses
Won the cup
Champions League ended first in group stage with 14 points. Group was much easier than the other two though with teams such as Sevilla and Krasnodar
Won the first round against porto, then got knocked out by Chelsea which got knocked out the round after

Most impressed by the first two tactics. The 4141 got the farthest in the champions league, but had worse results in the league and the opponents weren't as impressive

The 4123 was nice, got the most clean sheets out of all of them. But if it went wrong, it really went wrong.

The 442 was my favorite, best results in my opinion. Got knocked out of the Champions League, only just, but faced great opponents with amazing results. Lots of goals, even when losing. Less clean sheets, one of the draws in the league was a 4-4.

End of the season now. Patch update for me was on the first manchester game of 2021. So you can see on schedule that it was on 14/03/2021. On the new patch it is not as good as the old one. Though it just might be that we basically had the league win already secured that the players did not care.

All of my main 3 strikers got 30+ goals and 10+ assists (Saka hit a rough patch after the fm21 update).

Dont know if I would reccomend the 4-3-3 with the new patch. (probably not)

Does anyone else having problems with the 442 after the patch? Maybe it's just bad luck and a little high expectations with a newly promoted side...

442 was amazing to me for 10-15 games. then it stopped "working" after the new patch. 4231 is my favorite so far. have been using 442, 4312 and 442 for my local club Aalesund, that was expected to fight against relegation. in 3 seasons i have 2x nr2, 1x champion, 1x cup winner and 1x super cup winner. Been knocked out of Europa League against Shelbourne and SønderjyskE (awful results)
 
Im still using the 4-3-1-2 V2 with great effect after the patch..
 
I haven't seen a tactic similar to the 21.12 kung fu 4312 bbm tactic in other patches.
 
I created folder "tactics" in Football Manager 2021 files and I downloaded two different tactics but neither of them work. I can't see these tactics in game when i try to load tactic.

Which version? V4 work well for me in LLM, just won vanarama league with Bradford which is predicted to be relegated.

If your tactics folder is in D drive then on load tactic screen you will need to click browse to your D drive tactics folder location.

Had great success with the 442. Won league and champs league with a 20+ game unbeaten run and banging elite teams by 4/5 goals. 2 forwards had 40 goals.
Have people found this less succesful recently? Started the next season by losing 4/5. Is it the new ME 20.5???
If so, what is working with new ME?

Exactly the same as me. 2nd season it's just not working anymore.
 
I've been using the 4-3-1-2 v4.5 (with DLP) with great success in FM Editors Tier 10 database so far, unbeaten in League matches for a season and a half, 60 odd matches, only defeats have been to higher tier teams in cups, Won the double first season, unbeaten in League goal difference over 100 ;)
I was using versions of the 4-4-2 previously but they became less effective after a patch, much credit goes to the tactic creator, thank you ;)
