good news for Sunderland, O'Neill is a good manager who is well capable of taking them into the top 10 on a regular basis
 
Mah, if he does what he need at villa, he'll spend a ton on young english players, and then not play them, get in a huff about not getting even more money and then leave.

Ellis Short has a personal fortune of £1.3 Billion, I'm assuming he plans on investing some of that if he's convinced O'Neill to come in.

My bet in January would be O'Neill signing players from the Championship with resale value like Zaha at Palace or Sordell.
