Revised for 11.3 Patch
Here is my NEW guide for Newcastle, revised by me for 11.3 Patch. This is how I play, but there are numerous ways of playing with any team, all with varying success.

Chairman - Mike Ashley(Happy To Stay)
Division - Premier League
Last Season - 1st(Coca-Cola Championship)
2010-2011 Prediction - 18th
Fierce Rivals - Sunderland
Other Rivals - Middlesbrough
Traning Facilities - Good Facilities
Youth Facilities - Average Facilities & Youth Academy
COLOURS
Now, as you select Newcastle, you will need to choose the season expectations. You have SIX choices, with varying transfer and wage budgets -
Avoid Relegation - 20m Transfer/875k p/w Wages
Mid-Table Finish - 21m Transfer/875k p/w Wages
Top Half Finish - 23m Transfer/925k p/w Wages
Continental Qualification through League Finish - 25m Transfer/925k p/w Wages
Title Challenge - 27m Transfer/925k p/w Wages
Winner - 29m Transfer/950k p/w Wages
Personally, I choose either Mid-Table Finish, or Top Half Finish, which are very much achievable, as is Continental Qualification with the right players.
Staff
Assistant Manager - John Carver -
John Carver is a good AM to start with, but I usually look for another quickly.
Coaches - Willie Donachie & Peter Beardsley
Peter will give a 3.5 in Attacking, although there are better coaches out there. Donachie should be released.
GK Coach - Chris Terpcou & Andy Woodman
Chris is OK, but long-term you need a 4.5 star in. Woodman isn't much either.
Fitness Coaches - Jack Ade & Simon Tweddle -
Get rid of both, poor stats mean they hinder rather than help.
Youth Coaches - Joe Joyce -
Joe will offer 3.5 star Tactical. I usually dispose of Joyce.
Physios - Derek Wright, Carl Nelson, Davie Henderson, Michael Harding & Sean Beech
- Release all but Derek Wright, who is IMO one of the best on the game.
Scouts - Graham Carr & Norman Wooster -
I only keep Graham Carr.
Coaches
Sidnei Lobo - Wonderful Assistant Manager, 4* Shooting.
Paul Winsper - 5* Fitness Coach.
Cassiano Luis - 5* Fitness. Is a Youth Coach, but will accept a Fitness Role.
Ze Mario (Jose Mario Santos) - 5* GK Traning.
Michelangelo Rampulla - 5* GK Training.
Bernhard Peters - 4.5* Tactic. Is Youth Coach, but will sign as Coach.
Narciso (Narciso dos Santos) - 4* Ball Control.
Chico Fraga - 4* Attacking.
Massimo Bonini - 4* Defending.

I will split it down positionally, and I will recommend who to keep, buy and sell.
Goalkeepers
1 - Steve Harper
26 - Tim Krul
I find that the current goalkeepers will get you through the first season, with Steve Harper usually 1st choice. If you wish, you can look at a loan, or a free transfer to bolster your options.
Vincent Enyeama - H. Tel-Aviv - 230k
Ole Soderberg - 150k/loan
Defenders
2 - Fabricio Coloccini
3 - Jose Enrique
5 - Sol Campbell
6 - Mike Williamson
12 - Danny Simpson
14 - James Perch
16 - Ryan Taylor
27 - Steven Taylor
28 - Tamas Kadar
The defence is usually enough for the first season, should you want to use the funds elsewhere. Jose Enrique and Simpson will be your 1st Full-backs, with Coloccini and Steven Taylor/Mike Williamson in the middle. Generally, Sol will be backup/experience for any youth, and will be released at the end of season. Kadar will turn good, so don't be tempted to cash in on him, just send out on loan, along with Perch. Look for Backup to Jose, and if you wish, Simpson should you cash in on R. Taylor.
Peter Masilela - M. Haifa - 150k (DL)
Cornel Rapa - Otelul Galati - 1m (DR)
Ryan Shawcross - Stoke - 12m (DC) - I have asked the board to purchase him, and the accepted, only do this when Transfer Budget is low.
Ryan Taylor - 1.5m
James Perch - January, free if you have to.
Tamas Kadar - loan, NO BUY CLAUSES
Midfielders
4 - Kevin Nolan

I generally go with this Midfield, plus one or two buys for the wings. Barton and Nolan should be more than capable in MC, and Ben Arfa is you creative star here, and you should look to incorporate him, whether you play an AMC, or re-train to AMR or MC.
Gabriel Torje - Dinamo Bucharest - 3.5m - AMR
Pavel Niakhaichyk - BATE Borisov - 1.3m - AMR/L/C
Martin Zeman - Sparta Prague - 1m - AML
Fabrice Abriel - Marseille - loan 65k - MC

Now without the real threat of Carroll, this is where the bulk of your cash needs to be used. Leon Best will serve as good backup, as will Lovenkrands, Ameobi and Kuqi, however, I usually put Kuqi into reserves, and try and dispose of him in January. Ranger is a talented player, and can be used rotationally, or as I do, loaned out.

Connor Wickham - Ipswich - 3.5m

TACTICS
Newcastle have a diverse squad, which can be adapted to most tactics. I prefer a 4-4-2, or a 4-5-1, both of which are listed in resources at the bottom.
TRAINING
I use the default, which work a lot better than recent default trainings. If you prefer another, with more specific, I would go with Dunc's Training, which is listed below in the resources list.
BOARD REQUESTS
Facilities
I usually ask for Youth Facilities upgrade firstly, and then ask for Training Facilities after.
Finances
Not too important, but you can ask for a higher Percentage of Transfer Revenue.
Networking
I tend to ask the board for a Feeder Club. Choose the option which suits you, although I usually pick the Work Permits one for obvious reasons.
Also, return a few days later, and ask to Upgrade Youth Recruitment Network.
