I dont think anyone expected him to be so bad to be fair

as for silvestre, not sure what arsene was thinking. Agent silvestre did his job well

Agreed - did well for Sevilla but shows how different the EPL is.

Whoever he signs need to be cultured, but combative

At the moment Samba seems the best option imo (Cahill will be very expensive, about 17m), but wenger has plenty of time to pull one from somewhere

Barcastuff reporting that both Forlan and Aguero have been offered to Barcelona who are looking at the situation... On the one hand - this could end their interest in Rossi and leave the door open for a Cesc bid involving Bojan (not sure Wenger would take it, though) but there's also suggestions that Betis have been contacted about possible loan moves for several players - including Bojan so perhaps Barca don't think they can do a deal for Fabregas this summer..

Bellerin (Barca Cadete A) says he hasn't decided on where to go yet (Reports of Arsenal, Utd, Chelsea being interested) but also leaves the door open to a possible return to Barca in the future (which, I expect, would end a lot of interest - particularly from Arsenal and Utd who will learn from Pique and Cesc/Merida cases). Young Guns not reporting anything about it - no move according to him.

Toral-Harper is still coming at the end of the season, though and Jenkinson deal should be announced in the Summer too. Toral-Harper has been demoted to Cadete B (basically just for wanting to leave) but there's less risk that he'll want to return to Barca: Badly treated, English mother.

If i was the Barca gaffer i would bid for Aguero but not for Forlan as he hasnt loooked that great this season

DENILSON rocked Arsenal last night by announcing: "I want to leave."

The Brazilian star is flying home after Sunday's game at Fulham and admits he is fed up after five years in London without a trophy.
He said: "This has been the worst season of my life and I am so upset, so frustrated.
"I am a winner and I came here to win trophies but I've been here for five years and won nothing.

"A footballer's career is over very quickly so it is time for me to move on.
"This is not a sudden decision. I made up my mind eight months ago.
"I was fed up of coming home and feeling down.
"But I haven't said anything until now because I did not want to disrupt the team during the season. And I haven't caused a big scene.
"I've simply been to see Arsene Wenger and told him how I felt and he's agreed to let me go.

"I know some people will think I am crazy. They are right. It is a great club with a great organisation, a great manager and so many talented players.
"Yes, I make a good living at Arsenal but other things in life are important.
"I need a fresh challenge and although I know I'm taking a big gamble I am ready to take that risk."

Denilson, 23, added: "I can't see myself returning in a Chelsea shirt, or Liverpool or ManchesterCity - and definitely not Tottenham. I think my future will be in Spain or Italy."
His parting message to Arsenal is powerful and poignant. "It's great to play beautiful football but sometimes to be a winner you have to play ugly if you want to succeed."

Thank God for that.

Ok, my thoughts on who should be leaving and coming in this Transfer Window. (Not that any of it will come true as Wenger probally will not spend AGAIN!).

Transfers In: I would love to see Dimitri Payet come in to Arsenal and this isn't an unrealistic target as he is French and everyone knows Wenger loves the French. Also someone like Seedorf to come into the heart of the Midfield or even just to be a figure in the dressing room I think that would give Arsenal a big boost. I believe we also need another striker to partner Van Persie or to sit infront of Van Persie, someone like Benzema or Falcao. Falcao is a natural finisher which is what Arsenal need someone to be in the box and finish every chance they get. Everyone knows that Arsenal need a CB, I think that Samba would be a good signing for us. Samba has proved his worth over the past few weeks for Blackburn making some vital tackles which will probably keep Blackburn in the Premier League, I know he isn't a player Wenger would normally go for but I think he is a great CB and could be a great leader I don't know. Another CB on my wish list is Raul Albiol from Real Madrid, he proved he was a good player at Valencia and ever since his move to Real Madrid he has been good as well but he hasn't been playing lately in the 1st team and I believe he is a good solid CB. Everyone says that Arsenal need a GK and I do to but Szczesny and our reserve GK Shea are both very talented young keeper and I think they both will be good in another year or 2, so I think Wenger should do everything he can to keep them both. The keeper I think we should bring in is Ben Foster from Birmingham. Foster is a great keeper and with Birmingham near relegation I think he deserves a better team and Arsenal need a keeper so why not?

Other who should be brought in if the people on my Transfer Out go are: Baines and Eriksen/Menez or Moussa Sissoko

Transfers Out: Arsenal really need to get rid of all the dead wood in the team, the likes of Denilson (who has said he wants to leave, thank god), Almunia, Vela, Bendtner, Rosicky and I think Arshavin's time has past and I think we can still get a bit of money for him. I also think we should get rid of Clichy and Squillaci, Clichy has made too many mistakes this season and I feel he needs to go and well Squillaci is just a terrible player in my eyes, Wenger decides to spend a bit of money (for Wenger's standards) and the player he buys is a complete idiot. There has been a lot of talk about Fabregas leaving and if you ask me I say if he wants to go let him go, there is nothing worse than a player (who is your captain) wanting to leave, so if it were up to me and he wants to leave let him, we would get a lot of money for him. With that said I am not saying I want him to leave I would love him to stay I think he is a great player but if he want to leave, there is nothing anyone can do to stop him.

Also Ryo Miyaichi, who is on loan at Feyenord is a great young player who Arsenal signed in January and I rate him very highly I believe he has all the attributes Ronaldo has, but obviously he is nowhere near Ronaldo's quality yet but I think he could be up there in a few yeard time if Wenger gives him a start

That's just boring. What has spending **** loads of cash done for Man City and Chelsea? Chelsea are in masses of debt and could easily have fallen out of the Champions League this season if teams around them didn't capitulate. Man City won the FA Cup. Against Stoke. In the most boring FA Cup final ever. They'll probably get 3rd this year but for the long-term, they can't keep it up and can't even keep their best player despite bundles of cash.

Also - where do you think the stadium came from? It wasn't a gift from the Stadium Fairies, you know.. It cost almost £400M - debt won't be wiped out by splashing the cash when we don't need to. And we HAVE spent money. On players who are good enough - Nasri, Arshavin (at the time, saved our season) and we're likely to again this season. If you want to be taken seriously, don't start your argument with "It won't matter cos Wenger won't spend1!1!!"

Transfers In:
I would love to see Dimitri Payet come in to Arsenal and this isn't an unrealistic target as he is French and everyone knows Wenger loves the French.

LoL. "Everyone knows he loves the French" - not like he actually is French or anything... Not sure Payet is good enough. I asked a French Football Expert about him before and he said he has promise but is nowhere near PL level yet. Right kind of area to look at though - wide (left) forward.

Also someone like Seedorf to come into the heart of the Midfield or even just to be a figure in the dressing room I think that would give Arsenal a big boost.

Not sure he can still really play... Serie A is notoriously a very slow league and not many 35 year olds are going to be able to play in England. Particularly in a team like Arsenal - Giggs is an exception. Not the rule. May be good in the dressing-room, but then why sign him as a player? Surely we want him as a coach - instead of paying him £X tens of thousands/week, we would pay him significantly less. Either way, I don't see it happening tbh.

I believe we also need another striker to partner Van Persie or to sit infront of Van Persie, someone like Benzema or Falcao. Falcao is a natural finisher which is what Arsenal need someone to be in the box and finish every chance they get.

No no no no no no no no. A million times no. Why do we need another (expensive) striker when van Perise has got better and better in his role as a lone striker? He was injured for half of this season and STILL managed to have his most fruitful season for Arsenal. Maybe back-up but Wenger won't (rightly IMO) go 4-4-2.

Discussion: Is the “poacher” the perfect Arsenal signing this summer? | Arsenal Report

Albiol hasn't played because he was injured as far as I know. Samba is immobile and like Koscielny is good on the ground, but weak in the air, Samba is good in the air, but weak on the ground and slow. We play a high line and he's just as slow as Squillaci is - it'd be a disaster to sign him IMO.

Not sure Shea's that good, but Szczesny won't stay if he isn't #1. He should be Number 1 because he deserves it as well. He's a top 'keeper.

Other who should be brought in if the people on my Transfer Out go are: Baines and Eriksen/Menez or Moussa Sissoko

Are you expecting all of these people or...?

Transfers Out: Arsenal really need to get rid of all the dead wood in the team, the likes of Denilson (who has said he wants to leave, thank god),

Yes. Sad for him, but probably for the best for both parties involved. [

B]Almunia[/B]

Yes. Don't think there's much debate about that. We won't sign a new GK, though.

Still young. Think he deserves one more chance - either on loan somewhere or to become the poacher that everyone thinks Arsenal need.

Bendtner's so under-rated. His arrogance and confidence means people criticise him whenever he doesn't do something that Messi would do, but he's scored important goals and is still a good player IMO.

Sad. But I think his time's up and he doesn't contribute a huge amount any more unless coming off the bench and he's not really worth the wage packet if that's his role.

and I think Arshavin's time has past and I think we can still get a bit of money for him.

I think Arshavin may well be moved on if we can find a buyer.

I also think we should get rid of Clichy Clichy has made too many mistakes this season and I feel he needs to go

He's also had some very good games. He needs consistent competition which will come from Gibbs when he's fit and Traore if he stays. I think he's got complacent at times in the knowledge that Gibbs was injured and no one could take his position from him. Still has a role to play IMO.

and well Squillaci is just a terrible player in my eyes, Wenger decides to spend a bit of money (for Wenger's standards) and the player he buys is a complete idiot.

Can't please anyone can he, Wenger? Buy someone! No, don't buy him, buy him! No - not him! He buys experience and he gets criticised, he buys young players, and people say we need experienced winners. Squillaci has been poor, though admittedly.

Is there one single quote from Fabregas when he says: "I want to leave, I'm not happy"? No. Keep, keep, keep.

Not as simple as just "giving him start". He needs to succeed in an application for a Work Permit (why he's on loan) but isn't likely to apply for a normal one. Wenger will most likely ask for a special talent visa but I don't know whether this will work either. He's already said that if he does get one, he's in his plans for next season and certainly pre-season.

Haha. I'm not even defending most of them to be fair. Only players I wouldn't really be happy with being sold would be Bendtner, Cesc and Clichy...

Fox News reporting that Arsenal have signed Ricardo Alvarez:

where does he play ?

I don't know much about him/the transfer. I think he's a wide-forward: From the Youtube vid, he seems to be a left-footed LWer.
