Spanish papers reporting that Barca made 34 Million Euros plus 6Million addons for Cesc.

Also read one Arseanl supporter posted "Fabregas asked Wenger to leave him out of Champions league squad"

Seriously doubt it. Sounds like ****-stirring to me.

Spanish papers completely unreliable, but I almost hope this isn't accepted. They've ****** about for too long and they're still not offering the full amount. They clearly have the funds, they just don't want to spend them all because they believe Cesc belongs to them. Just give us the full €45m and be on your way, Pep.

I say we take it, and quickly reinforce the areas of the squad that need strengthening. Let him go. His heart is obviously at Barcelona.

So? Why should we let him go for less than he's worth just because his "heart is elsewhere". **** him - if he wants to leave so much, then he can ****** well tell Barca to pay up. I've got to the stage where I don't really care if he's unhappy. Until we get a decent offer, I say reject their bids.

I only would like this to be accepted if I were sure that Wenger would use this money for signing a goob CB at once.
But, as far as I am not fully sure of this would happen, I say "tell 'em to go f*** themselves".

Apparently a CB won't be coming this week. Wenger is "looking at other options" according to We Are The North Bank, who also says he expects a CB to be signed by midnight of the 31 August.

Spanish TV (TV3) joining Sport in reporting the imminent transfer of Cesc Fabregas.

Goodbye Cesc ! hope you do well at barca :)

El FCB pagará 40m de euros (30 + 5 variables + 5 que pone cesc de su sueldo). Faltan pequeños detalles pero me dicen que antes del finde

FCB will pay 40m euros (30 fixed+5 variables+5m that Cesc will take off wages). Only little details to confirm but been told done by weekend

the 5m euros from Cesc is 1m euros a year during 5 years that he will reduce from his planned wages. that money will be paid to Arsenal.

glad it finally over tbh and the fact Cesc is taken 5 M off means he truly wants to go :)

Barca just got better

So Long farewell. Cese (or Cesc)

Goood Byeee. Gooooodd Byeeeee1!!!!

will cesc leave like a personal message, much like how edurado did. ?????

he needs to so some god **** respect

when did eduardo do this?

and i dont agree with the 2nd part of your post at all

was on SSN Joss he is going.

Firstly, "Sky Sources" are often wrong - they call things wrong all the time.

Second, the story clearly originates from Spanish TV and from Sport (Spanish paper). According to them, he's left about 15,000 times in the past 2 years.

Just saying that there's no point saying your goodbyes until he's actually gone, and not when Spanish media sources say he's gone.

lol i guess u missed it. edurado did leave a message on the arsenal website last year once he moved to Shaktar, mainly about thanking him for the support after the broken leg.

Me too - really top talent IMO. Can't wait to see him playing properly for the First Team - looks to be another youth master-stroke by Wenger.

[Enter stage-left CJACKO with "He'll only leave when he gets good anyway"]

Why would i say that??

Why would i say that??

Because you're constantly taking a dig at Arsenal
Because you're constantly 'pointing out' that Wenger signs young players and then when they get good, they leave because Arsenal has 'no ambition'.
Because you hate Wenger.

And it was a joke, by the way. A little like your jokes about Arsenal on the Chelsea Thread :)

so i wonder if wenger will actually buy :O a cb before the window shuts? hopefully he does as if he doesn't were in trouble imo

I think he will. Not because of any inside info (People keep asking me what I know? I don't know anything, I just read a lot of stuff from what I see as reliable sources on twitter/elsewhere!) - just a hunch and expectation. I wonder if we'll take it to the wire with Cahill. Growing to that idea now, although I don't see him working alongside Vermaelen, but rather as his back-up? Which seems a little pointless. I still prefer Jagielka because he seems like a good partner for Vermaelen and it would also take the pressure off Djourou to cover that RCB slot, with Kos able to play both roles in equal measure.

Jagielka would also be good as he could fill in at left-back if gibbs gets injured or in more defensive positions
