WOW!!! DB10 gUNNER LEGEND!!!

1. De Gea deal was done aaages ago. Not how Arsenal do business - De Gea was always going to be VdS' replacement for the long-term. They knew since the start of the year that he would be retiring and had been tracking De Gea for a long time.

2. Most players signed have been English - that's a different window. The main window opened less than a week ago - be patient!

3. Gervinho deal to be announced on Monday. He's passed a medical, fee agreed, but a hold-up in the paper-work. I think it's something to do with bonuses or something.

Clearly Arsenal haven't received an official, acceptable bid for him yet :(

Bendtner and Almunia not included because they seem to be talking to other clubs (so I'd assume Arsenal have accepted bids)

Still got it:

Video: Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp scores a Golazo in Ajax training - 101 Great Goals

pretty much this. De Gea deal was agreed between clubs 3 months ago, but De Gea only wanted to sort personal terms at the end of the season and, but it was pretty much nailed on from the start

The continental market will be a lot slower

Young Guns
Arsène Wenger: "I rate Gael very highly but I rate highly as well Kieran Gibbs, and he is now at an age where he has to play. And that’s the main reason behind that, to give Gibbs a chance".

Wojciech Szczesny – Vito Mannone – Sebastien Squillaci – Johan Djourou – Kieran Gibbs – Carl Jenkinson – Laurent Koscielny – Andrey Arshavin – Marouane Chamakh – Ryo Miyaichi – Armand Traore – Thomas Vermaelen – Bacary Sagna – Theo Walcott – Alex Song – Jack Wilshere – Tomas Rosicky – Denilson – Aaron Ramsey – Emmanuel Frimpong – Samir Nasri – Carlos Vela – Robin van Persie

No Bendtner and Almunia. Moving on, hopefully.

Dissapointed that Lansbury and Bartley aren't mentioned. Perhaps because Bartley wants to go back to Rangers and Lansbury will probabaly end up back at Norwich. RE: Lansbury, extended holidays.

Bartley should of gone instead of Squillaci IMO. He will get his turn to impress in the Emirates Cup and the other friendlies you would think.
As for Almunia and Bendtner all signs point to them leaving. Can't get over how Denilson manages to get a trip though.

Because he has somehow managed to injure himself while on holiday.

Maybe Wenger's trying to sell Denilson to a chinese club or something. After the Conca deal I'm starting to take them more seriously.

As I think I've said before, the trip is 90% about commercialization. Opening up/exploring a different market to increase revenue etc. (part of the reason Ryo is there I expect) so only a few young players have been taken. Lansbury is on extended holidays as you say because of his involvement (or lack of) in the U21 Tournament, Bartley will get a chance in the Emirates Cup. Wenger has rejected serious interest from Rangers in Bartley because he wants to take a look at him in pre-season - if he stays, I expect him to be above Squillaci in the pecking order.

Almunia and Bendtner are in talks with other clubs, according to the BBC.

Don't understand why Denilson will get to wear the shirt again. His comments were ridiculous and he should be top of the list of outgoing players along with Almunia and Squillaci. Wenger is too loyal to players at times. Frustrating if SS stays and we don't sign another CB. Wenger will have serious questions to answer.

Apparently there's interest in Denilson from Roma, Milan, Sevilla and now Bayern.

Thank god Almunia and Denilson are leaving. Why did Wenger sign Denilson in the first place ?

he was pretty good in the start. cant remember which season it was, 07/08 or 08/09, but he was like a regualar first team player in the 4-4-2 with cese. .

then he got the back broken, and then diaby step up, then came wilshere and song and ramsey.

Agreed, some poor comments from Denilson.

Samba talks are well advanced apparently. Wenger has a real desire for height and organisation, which Samba will bring,

Honestly, Samba and Vermaelen is going to be one of the most scary defences in the league. If Arsenal can fix their set-piece issues (which I fully believe they can) and learn to shoot once in a while rather than walk it in (hmm...) then it's down to whether they can retain one of Cesc or Nasri, or who their replacements are, to determine whether they can offer a serious title threat again.

I think.
